Princess Eleanor did not know what to say. Her mind was a mess.

"I don't know what you are talking about?" Princess Eleanor moved her head inside the carriage as if she was afraid of Sir Kit's next question.

"The Princess knows exactly what I am saying. Even if the Princess thinks that I am a man who can't see anything, I know it all." Sir Kit's voice came inside the carriage and it made Princess Eleanor's heart beat faster. All she could do right now was swallow hard and close her eyes thinking that this will soon be over.

"Sir Kit thinks he knows me?" Princess Eleanor asked when she had calmed herself down. She knew that she would not like the answer to that question but she could not help herself.

The tone by which Sir Kit talked to her made her feel like he thought he had an unknown power over her just because she liked him.
