Chapter 214: World Summit (Part 1)

A/N: Beginning of a long arc.

*Tick Tick Tick Tick* (sound of clock hand moving.)

Ryan shuddered as he felt a waft of cold air around him. However, they were now in the middle of summer season.

"24 hours till the world summit. Are you nervous?" Gwen hugged Ryan from behind while he sat in his chair at the Vice President office.

"I am…a little bit." Ryan replied while gently caressing her hand. "The preparation is all done."

The world summit would be the most difficult thing he'd ever done in his life. Creating a new futuristic city in Somalia– which would be unveiled after the World Summit, countless infrastructure and transportation innovations in the country, fighting another civilization as space pirates, all of them seems easier than what he was currently working on now.

"Its fucking hard to get the human species to unite." Ryan blurted out. Gwen chuckled beside him and kissed his cheek, "If anyone could do it. It will be you."

It's been a month since San Juan fell. The Fantastic Four have been rapidly adapting to their new home and Susan Storm had entered the last trimester of her pregnancy.

Skye and Kai were going planet to planet to cause destruction in her training. Ryan took the chance to place some mining ships operated by droids to collect resources on the destroyed planet once Skye destroyed the third one.

Her actions almost caused alarm on the alien civilizations who lived nearby the empty planet she destroyed that rumours about Galactus waking up to feed had spread throughout the galaxy.

Dawn and Hela toured the galaxy, finding civilizations that needed help, expanding the Guardians of the Galaxy base of operation and finally accepted Zeus' invitation to go to Omnipotence City. Led by Hercules, Dawn would arrive at the city today.

His secretary, May, walked in with Peter by her side. Ryan raised his face from the documents to look at her.

"When will the Kree compensation arrive?" He asked.

After San Juan fell, Ryan cooperated with Xandar to claim compensation with the Kree for their acts in interfering with the human's evolution. The Kree tried to avoid responsibility as usual, but then they found out that Dawn Everstar, the man whose name is on par with the tyrant of the universe, had the Earth underneath his wings.

"They had sent 3 planets worth of resources to Knowhere. The Guardians of the Galaxy will escort the ship here later today. But, Peter Quill told us about the possibilities of a space pirate attack and asked for directions."

"Blow them up. Any loot will be the Guardian's funds." Ryan replied.

May tried to cover up Peter's ear when Ryan said to blow them up, but it was too late. Peter's eyes were glittering in excitement and had an image of Ryan becoming the big overload of the universe in his mind.

"So Pete, you're excited for your trip to space?" Gwen changed the topic to not let Peter be influenced to the dark side.

"I still feel… that this is all a dream.." Peter said. The kid with 207 IQ managed to get the top position in the entire country in his last exam, fulfilling the bet with him and Ryan Knight.

Outside the whitehouse, there were 50 groups of students and teachers, filled with excitement as they stood next to the 100 metre long civilian travel ship.

"I never imagined, as a teacher, I could go to space." Roger Harrington – Peter's homeroom teacher said and broke down crying in front of his students.

"It's all thanks to Pete." Ned said excitedly while wearing a fedora. Michelle Jones rolled her eyes to the situation, but she didn't say anything as she was excited to – inwardly.

"Hey Zendaya. Why don't you and Ned enter to meet the President like Pete?" Flash Thompson – the MCU one, asked, however his tone was polite without any trace of sarcasm.

Did he really dare to bully someone who was like a brother to one of the Avenger members and also the Emperor of Humani- Vice President of the country? No one in their sane mind would do so. He became their friend instead as deep down Flash wasn't a bad guy. He even became a hero in a few universes.

"He's too busy. We don't want to bother him." Michelle said. Ryan's nickname for her had spread like wildfire to the entire Midtown high school. Even the teachers called her that sometimes. And honestly, she kinda likes the name.

Several men in a bulky warhammer hammer marched next to the students, causing the whole situation to become tense.

"Holy shit. It's the space marines!" Ned screamed excitedly. Ryan couldn't let them go out there without any protection, could he? Betty Brand snapped a picture of the Marine stealthily but Ned caught her doing so.

"What are you doing?" Ned asked. There wasn't a rule to not snap a picture on the trip, but Betty was using a professional grade camera, causing Ned to be intrigued.

"Hmm..I'll tell you, but you can't tell anyone about this." Betty said. Ned nodded and she explained, "J. Jonah Jameson found out about the trip and promised me an internship in his company if I bring him pictures from our trip."

"Wait…JJJ did what?" Ned was flabbergasted when he heard about it. The space marines heard Ned's high volume voice and turned to his direction. "umm..Err..Nothing.."

"I couldn't go. But Ben and Johnny will follow suit in your trip to Mars." Ryan explained to Peter. Although a bit disappointed, Peter nodded his head in understanding.

"You'll stay in the hotels on Mars for a few days before you come back. The trip included a chance to step on the moon, but only a few people could do so, so make sure you're one of them." Ryan threw out a special phone to Peter which he almost dropped a few times before he caught it.

"That phone will work everywhere in the solar system. So if you come into trouble, give me a call."

May seemed worried about letting Peter go, but she knew how hard Ryan had worked to create a defensive perimeter inside their solar system for the safety of the people on Earth.

"You know you can go with them right?" Ryan said to May.

"And leave you alone at the summit? If I do that, I wonder what chaos will ensue this time."

Ryan, Gwen and May laughed while Peter looked at the situation weirdly. Ryan took the time to send Peter to the spaceship and took a picture with Peter's entire class and the crying Mr. Harrington.

"Enjoy your trip." Peter said while waving the kids away.

"What's on my schedule today, May?" Ryan asked with a little reluctance. Everyday he needed various world leaders, slimy diplomats, CEO's, aristocrats and the oligarch. He was a bit tired seeing their faces now.

"Nothing sir." May replied casually. Ryan raised one of his eyebrows and asked again, "Are you sure?"

"Yes sir. President Ellis will take over everything you need to do today. The only thing you have in your schedule is your 4.00 massage."

"....." Ryan was in disbelief when Gwen put her hand on his shoulder and massaged it gently. She leaned in and whispered seductively to his ear, "The massage session is with me."

Although he was excited to hear that, Ryan said, "The world summit-"

"It will be fine. Tony and Banner will go through every legal document to make sure that the event will go smoothly. Steve and T'Challa are going to Wakanda to escort king T'Chaka so there will be no problems."

"That…Sounds like a flag. What do the Wakandan do now?" Ryan asked while covering his face in frustration.

"A tribal conflict. Nothing of our concern." Gwen replied. Ryan sighed and decided not to care about it.

"Wakanda still hasn't decided to join the world summit as a participant. They are only here as an observer. The countries that reject the summit. Are there any movements?" Ryan asked. Suddenly, a man in ninja clothes jumped down from the ceiling after hearing the question.

The ninja replied in a deep voice, "There are multiple conspiracies to stop the summit from happening. However, the Shadows will prevent them from happening."

" I see." Ryan replied. "It's the final hour now. Do what you need to do. I don't care even if you assassinate a prime minister as long as the summit is protected." Ryan replied with a ferocious glint in his eyes.

"Will do." The ninja said and disappeared from the office, leaving only a white smoke as a trace of his existence.

Knight's mansion.

"Hey Wanda. Do you want to come with me to the city?" Pietro asked.

"No. I have the afternoon tea with Mr. Knight Senior later." Wanda replied while wearing a gothic mix of a red and black dress with leggings and a 'M' Shaped tiara on her head. "Besides, you're only going to party anyway."

"What's life without a party?" Pietro said cockily. He has been enjoying his life in America and accepted a student exchange offer to study there until he received his degree in New York University. The butler walked toward them causing Pietro to flinch in fear.

"Okay then, see you later." He escaped quickly before Hiddle could open his mouth.

"Miss Wanda. How are you this morning?" Hiddle asked politely.

"I am feeling great. By the way, just call me Wanda." She replied. Hiddle smiled, but he wouldn't change his ways as right now, Tim Knight was seriously considering whether to adopt Wanda to become his daughter.

"Your master sent me a message to find her in Kamar Taj. She said you'll know where you should go." Hiddle replied.

"I see. Thank you." Wanda said and snapped her fingers, causing her to disappear into a cloud of red mist.

"Wanda. You're here." The ancient one said. Although her voice was still calm, Wanda knew there was something wrong that was going to happen. Suddenly, a portal opened and Dr. Strange walked through the portal with Wong from the New York Sanctum.

"I got the message." Strange said hurriedly. The ancient one took a deep breath and muttered, "Something terrible is coming. Something that will destroy the entire world."

"Master. Can you stop it?" Wong asked politely.

"I can't. I needed to be somewhere else that is more dire. I…need to stay here." The ancient one said in a grave tone. "Wanda, Strange, and Wong. You guys needed to protect Ryan Knight in the attack."

Wanda's heart almost fell after she heard Ryan's name. Strange and Wong looked at each other before they looked at their master. "Isn't he…stronger than us?"

The ancient one shook her head and explained the bare minimum to them as she couldn't mess with time in this matter.

Near Saturn.

"The world summit. Curious." A man with a blue skin said while finally anchoring his existence to the timeline. It's been months since he tried to do so, but his Damocles ship was too damaged in his time jump before this.

"Too many things have changed in this universe. I wonder if it's even the same universe that I will be born in." Kang the Conqueror muttered calmly.

Instead of being angry that his timeline has been destroyed, the Conqueror flashed a look of excitement in another new universe he could conquer.

He studied the mechanisms of the Earth in which he would use as a base for his Era on this timeline.

"The Avengers. They are also here. Doesn't matter. It won't be the first time that I kill all of them."

The Avengers weren't a threat for him. However, his sight turned to a new man he had never heard of or seen before.

"Ryan Knight. What kind of being are you? Are you the focus point of this… change?" Kang muttered obsessively when he looked at Ryan's image on the computer. He studied what Ryan had done to the world and came to the curious conclusion of his own.

"Like me. You've travelled from the future. Are you…another variant of me?" Kang asked while he sat on his time chair and started to float from the ground.

"Curious. Very curious. The TVA…is destroyed here." He said after checking the records. The only record the TVA has was a man in a green hood and a metal mask destroying the entire TVA.

"Doom? How?" Kang asked in confusion. "Why?" He continues his study while he awaits for the world summit to start. He bided his time and let Ryan Knight continue to plan for his world summit even though his time anchor had stabilised a week ago. A true conqueror alway knew the perfect time to strike.

"Urrr…Ahhh…yesss.." Ryan moaned in pleasure as Gwen massaged his shoulder from behind.

"Don't stop. Right there…Ahh~"
