After that crazy experience, we all are tired. Eden fell asleep as soon as she sat on the bed. Hazel nicely tucked her in. She is sleeping peacefully now.
"Now then, the experiment was a success. Thank you for your cooperation."
I congratulate them as well. I feel like a team leader doing some kind of impossible experiment.
"Master, you really created a blackhole!!!" (Hazel)
"Yeah. I wasn't sure if it would work out or not but it worked. I am happy that nothing bad happened."
"But why did you do something so dangerous? If you got sucked in, what would have happened to you?" (Hazel)
"Don't be mad. A blackhole is connected to somewhere. No one knows where. So maybe I could have become the first person to see what lies beyond a blackhole."
I giggle. It is one of the biggest mysteries of science. No one has been able to theorize this.
I look at Fay who is sitting to my left. She is staring blankly at the ceiling.
"Fay, are you okay?"
I ask her. She seems ghastly pale.
"Uhh….no. I am not." (Fay)
She says that and breaks into tears. What happened?
"Calm down. What happened? Are you injured?"
"Uwwwaaaaahhhhh...what should I do? My common sense has been thoroughly destroyed by you. You have to take responsibility for violating me."
She grabs me by the collar and starts shaking me.
"C…ca…calm…down.. Stop….shaking…me."
I can't talk like this. She is seriously shaking me. In the end, Hazel had to hold her back.
"Erhm… I am sorry if I did something wrong. But don't phrase it like that. People would misunderstand."
I try to collect myself and say that. Here by people I mean Hazel. She has been giving me quite the glare upon hearing that.
"I am sorry for that unsightly behavior." (Fay)
Fay prostrates herself. Now you are making me look like a villain.
"Get up. Let's talk."
I pull her up and she takes her seat.
"Ask me, what did I do wrong?"
"How are you so absurdly powerful?" (Fay)
"The answer to that would be, I don't know."
"Are you joking?" (Fay)
"No. I am very serious. I was just a normal human until now. How did I become like this is completely unknown?"
"How? Even if you train for a thousand years, your strength seems too far away. You can beat dragons with one hand with that strength." (Fay)
"I don't know why did this change start but I am certain, it started after I got these."
I show her the gun and aegis. I haven't used the gun for a while.
"Is that a magic gun?" (Fay)
"No. It says it's a spirit gun. And the staff is aegis staff."
"A spirit gun. I remember reading about them once. They are supposedly extinct and no one knows how to make them. How did you get this?" (Fay)
"I stole them. Along with this and this."
I show her the amulet and the book.
"The gods amulet and an ancient history book. How did you steal these legendary class items? They are only mentioned in legends." (Fay)
"Hooh.. I was using them like normal. I stole it from the first ship that landed here. Hazel showed me the way."
"Ehehehehe…you don't have to praise me, master." (Hazel)
Hazel is showing a happy smile.
"The first ship? Whose ship was that?" (Fay)
"How would I know?"
But to think these would be called legendary items. I was using them as it was without any regard and will continue to use them. I kinda became dependent on them.
"After getting this gun, I got this weird power called <Spirit >. I myself don't have any idea about what it is. But it allows me to do anything as long as I can imagine it and I have enough energy."
"Anything….!!!" Fay is losing it again.
"Calm down. First, I have something to ask you."
"What is it?" (Fay)
"I want to appraise you. Can I?"
"You have appraisal skill as well. Only a select few have that skill. What rank is your appraisal?" (Fay)
Did appraisal have a rank?
(You have the highest grade appraisal. You can call it the Divine Eye.)
Sounds kinda chuuni?
"It's the highest grade. The Divine Eye."
And here we go again. This time, Fay fell backwards and fainted. I can see her mouth foaming.
"Uhh….what should we do?"
I ask Hazel. I think I can imagine the look on my face. It's guilt. I guess, I put too much pressure on her.
"We can only wait. Let's have a nice talk once she regains her consciousness." (Hazel)
"You have become nicer towards her. Before you were so thorny."
"We both are comrades in arms." (Hazel)
"What's with that exasperated look?"
"We both fell a victim to your actions. So we both have a very nice chemistry between us." (Hazel)
"My actions? What did I do?"
"Think about that yourself." (Hazel)
What to do? She is in a bad mood as well. Did I do something wrong?
(Maybe you haven't been giving her enough attention.)
(That must be it.)
I see. She was a dog who needed attention. But ever since she became a human, I have been avoiding her.
"Hazel, come here."
I beckon her. She stands up and walks to me. I sit cross legged, leaving some open space between my legs.
"Sit."
And she sits between my legs. I always used to pat her head like this. That's when she was a dog. Let's try it when she is like this.
I softly pat her head. Her hair is smooth and fluffy. It feels good to touch. And she is soft. Damn!! Were women this soft?
She leans on me and moves her head.
"Are you happy?"
"Pat me for another 10 hours and I will be in a slightly better mood." (Hazel)
"That's too harsh."
But she seems to be in a better mood than before. Women sure are mysterious creatures. I don't think I will know for sure what they are thinking.
