Silver Surfer Part 9

South of Manhattan

Using the satellites, we were tracking the pulses of energy that Silver Surfer released to calculate his position.

"So that guy will pass by this place, right?" Human Torch said.

"Concentrate buddy" I said.

Johnny just shrugs.

We had divided into three groups to block Silver Surfer's path and help set up the machines.

I was with Human Torch, Hawkeye and Banner.

Polaris was with Captain America, The Thing, and Mister Fantastic.

The last group consisted of Riri Williams as Ironheart, Black Widow, Invisible Woman, Wanda, and Iron Man.

"Everyone, stay tuned, the energy pulse is approaching this place" Fury said.

Hearing Fury's words through our earpieces, we focus.

Minutes later, Fury says:

"He's approaching from the south and heading for the position where Romanoff's group is"

"We'll stop him" Natasha said.

I'm a bit worried, but I trust in Wanda and Riri's abilities.

"We're going over there, stop him for a while" I said.

Quickly the bracelet on my arm falls to the ground and transforms into a glider. Getting on it I head to where Wanda and Riri are.

This was the latest technology created by Riri.

Nanotechnology.

Johnny flame on and followed me.

Using her powers, Wanda levitates a few feet off the ground, awaiting the arrival of Silver Surfer.

Riri with her suit also rises to the sky.

"How much time do you need for the machine to activate, Tony?" Natasha asked as she drew her gun.

"About fifteen minutes" Tony answered quickly as he checked the data from the machine.

This machine was divided into three, each one was placed in three different points.

While they were getting ready, they saw him, Silver Surfer stopped a few feet from them.

"You really are an alien...your name should be Silver, right?" Wanda said trying to distract him.

Silver Surfer looks at Wanda for a few seconds before looking at Tony and starting to slowly approach him.

Susan quickly creates an energy shield.

Silver Surfer is undeterred and continues to approach, passing through the shield with ease.

Susan is surprised.

When Silver Surfer was going to finish going through Susan's shield, a reddish energy makes him back a few feet.

Wanda, the owner of that energy, says:

"Don't forget about us you bastard"
