Genosha (Civil war IX) Part 20

A civil war had started in Genosha.

As a closed country the news of the war was not known by the world.

But sooner or later it would be known and that worried the leaders of Genosha, although they had the support of countries with great power, if the common citizen found out what they were doing in Genosha, that support would be lost.

What surprised the Leader was that Alex Wayne was freeing the mutants from different cities of Genosha but at no time did he get close to the capital.

In addition to surprise, he was also glad that he had enough time to ramp up Sentinel production, so even if Alex brings hundreds of mutants with him, it will be in vain and will ultimately be his downfall.

In the capital, Hammer Bay

Council Room

There is currently a meeting of the leaders of Genosha.

"It's been a week and Alex Wayne's only moves is that he's been saving mutants from different cities" Trask said.

"He's an idiot, thanks to his kindness he has lost the chance to defeat us" the Jackal said.

"I suppose he thinks that having an army of mutants will make him invincible, he's very naive" David said.

"It is not important what that man intends, what should make us happy is the increase in Sentinels at our disposal. With them, when Alex and his army of mutants come to the capital, we will finish them off" the Leader said.

"That's true, besides not all the mutants he released are combatants, his real army will not exceed 4 thousand men while we currently have more than 7 thousand Sentinels available" Trask said proudly.

They were his creation after all and because of that he considers himself a person who brought Revolution.

While they were talking, a nervous Magistrate interrupted the council room saying:

"Sirs, a very large army is approaching from the south in the direction of the capital"

"Oh, so Alex Wayne decided to make his move, sadly for him his dreams will be shattered once he gets here" the Leader said.

Trask notices that the Magistrate is nervous and asks him:

"What's wrong, do you have more information?"

"Yes, Mr. Trask, the enemy is made up of approximately 4,000 mutants" the Magistrate replied, but when he was going to continue, he was interrupted by David.

"Oh, that number of mutants was within our calculations, nothing to worry about" he said.

"No sir, that's not all, the mutant army is accompanied by approximately 8 thousand Sentinels" the Magistrate said with a terrified look.

"WHAT DID YOU SAY?!!!" The four leaders of Genosha shouted in unison.

They are surprised and scared. To think they're using Sentinels.

"It's impossible, the Sentinels have in their operating systems the function of hunting mutants and with the help of the mutant detector inside them, it makes impossible for them to help the mutants" Trask said.

"But it's happening, more than 8 thousand Sentinels are coming with more than 4 thousand mutants and all with the desire to destroy us" an anxious David said.

"You're right, we underestimated Alex Wayne, that guy was not only saving the mutants but he also took over the Sentinel factories in those cities to mass produce them" a thoughtful Jackal said.
