Mara's fingers tightened in Erebus's fur as he whisked her through the Shadows to the Branch of Strength. They emerged in front of a house she didn't recognize, but if Erebus had brought them here, at least one of the people she was looking for had to be inside.
Loma wouldn't let her go to Rowan's garden alone even with Erebus taking her right there and back, but with Ozul's consent, she had agreed to let her visit Clio and Aiden at the Branch of Strength with the shadow wolf as an escort.
"You're really fast, huh? That is so much fun," Mara gushed as she patted him on the back. Just like the time she'd traveled like this with Ozul, she didn't feel dizzy at all.
Erebus wagged his tail with a little more enthusiasm than usual.
