LARA
I rushed to Scott and the man when I saw him move, and without a second thought, I shot him in the head. I quickly pushed his lifeless body off of Scott, and I felt relieved when he opened his eyes. Blood covered his face, but I didn't mind it and quickly gathered him in my arms.
"Are you alright? Where's your wound?" I asked in a panic.
"Calm down. It just scrapes on my side." He whispered. I let out a sigh of relief and looked at his side, and there was a scrape there and bleeding.
"Come stand up." I held both his arms and pulled him up. He staggered backward when I let him go, but I quickly grabbed his arm, steadying him.
"Are you still dizzy?"
"A bit. My head is weighing me down."
"Stay here. I'll check if there are more men outside." I whispered and planted a kiss on his forehead.
