The sun had just begun to peak over the horizon and a soft glow illuminated the surrounding forest.

Whiteknife National Park was an incredibly remote location that required a three-day journey through a difficult mountain range to reach.

The roads leading to the park had long fallen into disrepair, so it was impossible to drive a car along the path.

The nearest town to the national park was over thirty-five kilometres away and most of the population of that town were either dead or had become zombies.

Now it was little more than a ghost town. An empty shell much like the numerous other places that had suffered when the apocalypse had begun.

One could only reach the inner region of the park by walking through a dense jungle where dozens of mutated animals and plants lurked.
