Blockage before the canyon

"Any news yet?" An alluring female voice sounded. The voice did not come from the cloaked figure but could be traced to the bed.

"I am not quite certain, emperor. But I have reports I believe the emperor will be interested in" the cloaked figure said in a rather hushed voice, making it hard to guess his or her gender.

"Oh, is that so? Let me hear the reports then" the female voice sounded again with a slight trace of interest in her voice.

The cloaked figure stayed silent for almost three seconds before speaking again.
