Chaahat opened her eyes when she heard the familiar alarm tone.
And she was surprised!
She usually wakes up before the alarm rings. And she always wakes up in the middle of the night having one or another nightmare.
Surprisingly, neither happened.
She was about to get up, when she realised she was weighed down by a strong muscular arm on her stomach and someone was breathing into the crook of her neck.
Well, not exactly on her stomach.
Very close to her bust.
Her eyes widened in horror and she turned slightly to see that Mithran was hugging her and sleeping!
What the hell!
Her first instinct was to push him away and kick him out of the bed hard.
But then she thought better of it.
He must have rolled over in his sleep and hugged her. If she wakes him now, he will realise that he was hugging her and that would be very very awkward.
It is better to get out of the bed without waking him, she thought.
She eased herself out of his death grip, without waking him up.
It was only four in the morning, but she loved waking up early.
She prefers to do her yoga before the sun is fully up.
She completed her morning routines, made a coffee for herself and drank it and then she wore a comfortable and stretchable outfit and walked out to the huge balcony of the bedroom.
The place is very spacious and perfect for her exercise.
Mithran woke up at five. He usually goes for his jogging at half past five. He is a fitness freak.
He didn't find Chaahat on the bed, and looked towards the couch to check whether she went to sleep there last night.
But she wasn't there either.
As he got up from the bed, he noticed the balcony door open. He walked towards that direction and his eyes widened in disbelief seeing Chaahat's yoga moves.
Chaahat had her eyes closed and she was so much into her exercises that she didn't notice his presence at first.
Mithran, unknowingly let out a wolf whistle seeing her impressive moves, alerting her to his presence.
Chaahat opened her eyes and was startled to see Mithran leaning against the railing and watching her.
"Impressive" he said
"Thank you" she said and quickly rolled up her yoga mat and walked inside.

Mithran got ready for his office and walked into the kitchen.
He saw Chaahat eating oats and some cut fruits.
Oatmeal is something he never liked, so it is never included in the grocery list. Where did she get it from, he wondered, then shook his head realising that it is none of his business.
He opened the freezer and took out the food and kept it in the oven for reheating.
He sat across from her and started having his breakfast.
"Suma Akka always prepares food in excess. You can have it. It is better than throwing them away a couple of days later" he said conversationally
"Thank you, but no. I can manage" she said and concentrated on her food again
"So? What do you do for a living?" He asked
As far as he knew, she was an orphan. So she definitely must be taking care of herself.
"Sponging off your father" she said, without skipping a beat.
Her tone was flat, he couldn't even figure out whether she was telling the truth or being sarcastic.
He frowned and saw that she was watching him.
"Well, not for long" he countered and she shrugged casually.
"And keep in mind, you are not going to get a single penny as alimony" I said, not liking her attitude at all.
"How can you be so sure? I didn't sign a prenup, remember?" Chaahat asked, as she took another mouthful of her food.
Mithran stared at her furiously.
Why does he always make a fool of himself in her presence?
What had his father been thinking when asking him to marry this woman?
Did his father seriously think that he would be happy with someone as emotionless as Chaahat?
"Well, sweetheart, in cases of annulment, alimony is not given. It is a totally different case if you plan to seduce and sleep with me" he said, with a sexy smirk on his face.
Chaahat clenched her fist tight and made sure not to betray any emotion on her face.
He is simply trying to get under her skin.
"I didn't realise that you are an easily seducible man, Mr Yadav" she said coolly
"I am a man with needs, Chaahat. If you come to me, I will welcome it happily." he said, with the sole intention of unnerving her.
Well, he has better control than that, but he wanted her to sweat over it for a while.
Let her live in that fear, he thought.
Chaahat was startled for a moment.
She didn't expect that!
Her heart started beating fast, remembering how she had woken up in the morning.
Did he really roll over towards her in his sleep? Or did he intentionally do that?
Somehow, she couldn't find the fear inside her. He had never made her feel uncomfortable, not even with a single glance.
Even in the morning, when she woke up with his arms around her, she still wasn't feeling the discomfort.
And that made her feel guilty.
She should have felt discomfort at his touch. She should feel fear at what he said.
Strange!
And with that came guilt.
Guilt at feeling like that!
It felt like she was cheating on…
No! Chaahat! Don't think about him.
The doorbell rang, shaking her out of her thoughts.
Mithran pressed the intercom button and spoke into it.
"Who is this?" He asked
"Mithran, darling. It's me Tanya" came a seductive voice through the intercom.
Chaahat's eyes widened hearing that.
Did Mithran have a girlfriend??
