"Mommy, don't be like that!" cried Rachel shyly. Great love is reflected in her sparkling eyes for the man Rahel still keeps secret from Mbok Darmi.

Rachel took a deep breath. "Actually I'm not sure if he wants to marry me, Mbok!" Rachel whispered, looking dubious.

"Oh, why is that?" Mbok Darmi was surprised and increasingly did not understand what Rahel was telling her. "How can Non Rahel marry a man who doesn't love Non at all?" Mbok Darmi joked curiously and felt strange.
