Golden Crown.

Isaac walked down the busy streets until he reached a particular building that was bustling.

At first, he didn't care much, but then he noticed name tags floating above the individuals— they were all players!

Isaac got more curious and started watching the scene.

Hundreds of players were lining up, waiting their turn to enter the building.

The building was 2-floors with a massive backyard— it wasn't anything special or fancy, which made Isaac wonder what was happening there.

But then, he saw a sign on top of the building.

[Golden Crown]

On top of the words was a symbol of a golden crown, but also small [Guild] text in the crown.

It was a Guild building!

It was the first time Isaac saw a Guild, but it also seemed to be quite a famous Guild.

Isaac entered the line and tapped the shoulder of the player in front of him.

''Hmm?'' The player with the name Dusk turned his head with annoyance, but then he saw a pair of beautiful gray eyes gazing at him.

He became speechless, but then Isaac opened his mouth, ''Whose Guild is this?''

Dusk was brought off his stupor— he coughed a few times and answered, ''The Guild Master of the Golden Crown is a player called King Jonathan.''

''Thanks.'' Isaac thanked him and left the line.

Dusk looked at Isaac's retreating back a few moments longer until he shook his head and turned his head back to the building.

''King Jonathan... Never heard of him before, but he must be a famous player.'' Isaac thought aloud.

King Jonathan's name reminded him of King Klaus, who seemed to hate the Marksman class.

Isaac stood on the sidelines, like dozens of other NPCs.

The NPCs wondered what kind of event was happening in that building, while Isaac guessed that the Guild must be recruiting more players.

The Guilds must be only 1 or 2 days old.

They can't have a lot of members yet.

The line was getting longer and longer— the news about Golden Crown recruiting has been spreading in forums for quite some time now.

Isaac had seen enough— he turned around and left the busy streets.

...

In the busy Guild Building.

A figure with short blond hair and well-defined facial features was sitting on a chair, with dozens of other individuals standing behind him.

This figure had heavy iron armor covering his entire body with a pair of swords and a shield lying down on the floor next to the chair. He is the Guild Master of the Golden Crown, King Jonathan.

Dozens of people behind him were the Core Members of his Guild— most of them were his own bodyguards or members from his father's company.

He was also a very experienced Beta Tester and successfully managed to earn the title of 'King.'

Not many understood the weight of the King and Queen titles.

There are only 10 individuals with the King's title.

But, there are also 10 individuals with the Queen title.

They were specially chosen in the Beta Tester program to be the symbol of light for humanity— when it is time for Humanity to have their final stand, the Kings and Queens will be the commanders of Humanity's army.

The amount of pressure on their shoulders isn't light. Everyone's hopes lied on them.

Their fathers, mothers, sisters, brothers, and everyone else who knows about the importance of White Online, is counting on them to find Godly Legacy and improve their Guild strength.

Their Guilds have one job. To be the Core of the Army. Once the time has come, their Guilds will be united, and then Humanity has a core to trust their lives on.

King Jonathan looked solemn. He had seen over a hundred recruits, but not even one of them satisfied him.

There were a few Level 13 players, but their battle prowess was laughable.

Soon, another figure appeared in the room.

It was a young man with short brown hair and a nervous-looking face.

King Jonathan already felt disappointed seeing his level.

[FuryBow - Level 10]

''Speak.'' King Jonathan said bluntly— he doesn't have all day to spend on these weaklings.

''Y-Yes!'' FuryBow said shakily, ''I-I am Archer, a-and I am a user of Gold Helmet!''

''Hmph.'' King Jonathan snorted and stood up.

His athletic figure made FuryBow look small, like he was nothing but an ant.

He grabbed his sword from the floor, ignoring the iron shield.

''Show me what you got— if you can't satisfy me, you are disqualified.'' King Jonathan said and stood in front of him.

''Y-Yes!'' FuryBow said shakily and grabbed his bow and quiver.

His quiver had dozens of wooden arrows with iron tips.

His hand shook quite a lot, but he knew his greatest advantage was long range.

Without further ado, he used his agility and special stat Physique to retreat some distance away.

King Jonathan didn't move— instead, he watched FuryBow's movements.

The way he took the arrows from the quiver and how he put them on the bowstring.

He has seen one of the Kings whose class was Archer doing it multiple times, and he knows if the player is good just from simple things.

But, FuryBow was an utter disappointment.

His moves were clumsy, without any fluidity— while he was trying to take the arrow from the quiver, it almost looked like he tried to use all his strength to pull the arrow out.

King Jonathan's eyebrow twitched, 'These fucking clowns...'

FuryBow put the arrow on the bowstring and aimed towards King Jonathan.

FuryBow's hand trembled, and his posture was a mess— it looked like a clown trying to do a circus trick.

*SWOOSH*

The arrow left the bowstring, and it flew straight towards King Jonathan. The only reason why it even flew towards King Jonathan is because the aiming in this game is easier, but in real life... The arrow wouldn't even leave the bowstring, let alone fly.

King Jonathan remembers one of the Kings whose class was Archer shooting a bow. The arrow left the bowstring like it was a missile— it has great difference when someone actually knows how to use a bow and the way FuryBow's does it.

FuryBow looked at the arrow flying towards King Jonathan.

He looked thrilled, 'That will definitely hit!'

But, his dreams were crushed soon.

King Jonathan swung his sword and slashed the arrow in half.

''H-How?!'' FuryBow exclaimed, 'How can he slash something that fast?'

*SWOOSH*

King Jonathan appeared in front of FuryBow in the blink of an eye.

He swung his blade and separated FuryBow's head from his shoulders.

[DEAD]

FuryBow instantly died, without being able to even comprehend that he just died.

King Jonathan snorted and took the items FuryBow dropped.

''Young master, was that necessary?'' One of the men in the room asked.

King Jonathan put the sword back on the Inventory and sighed, ''Sorry, just annoyed that we haven't found anyone good!''

''Patience, Young master.''

King Jonathan sighed and went back to his seat.

He still has over two hundred recruits left.

But he isn't the only one who is busy.

All the Kings and Queens are recruiting people for their Guilds.

Because they had to be there... They can't hunt any more XP until the recruitment is over— that gives other players time to catch up.

That's why, the first few days since the game was released, they barely slept and kept playing.

Now... All of their levels were 18-20!
