Chapter 16: A Room For Two

Elesa by my side, the two of us made our way across the Skyarrow Bridge.

Taking in the scenery as we did so.

From the majestic view of Castelia City in the distance. To the numerous water-type pokemon swimming in the sea below.

As well as the various ships moving through the water.

We took it all in and then some.

*Snap!*

Elesa snapping as many photos as she could.

A bright smile on her face as she did so.

Which she usually wears.

I've noticed this over the past week we've been traveling together.

*Snap! Snap! Snap!*

"Hey calm down. If you keep snapping pictures your finger won't be able to do anything once we reach Castelia itself." I said.

"It's fine Ezra." She told me.

"Sure, whatever you say." I said.

Elesa then continued snapping pictures the entire time we made our way across the bridge.

Even after we entered the sprawling metropolis and melting pot Castelia City, she didn't stop. No, rather the number of photos she took increased, and she didn't stop until we reached the gym so the two of us could sign up for our matches.

Though once we did she finally put her camera down, and used her own eyes to take in the city.

Which is amazing.

It's like New York back in my old world.

As we walked the city streets we saw street performers, families, food vendors, even pokemon battle's taking place.

I'll say it again, this world truly is amazing.

Especially since the only bugs here are bug-type pokemon.

Meaning I can camp outside without needing a giant can of bug repellent.

The two of us got a big sidetracked, but eventually arrived at the pokemon center to get some rooms.

Unfortunately they were fully booked up.

So after learning we left.

"Look like its a hotel for us." I said.

"Yep." Elesa agreed.

Thus we headed to the first hotel we could find.

But they were fully booked up.

Then we went to the second and got the same story.

So we tried another, then another, and then another.

We went to six different hotels across the city, and found all of them fully booked up.

Arriving at the seventh, we pretty much got the same story.

"Ah, what's with this?!" Elesa cried. Finally snapping after our hotel tour.

I can't say I blame here. I'm close to losing it myself.

"Why are all the hotels we go to fully booked up?" She said.

"Well, it's like this." The receptionist on duty began.

He told us there's a huge international economic conference taking place in Castelia right now, and will be in session for the next two weeks. Which is why all the hotels we've been to are booked up.

"I see. So, what you're saying is we're not getting a room?" I asked.

"Actually, I do have one available." The receptionist said. "However it's a pretty expensive suite."

"How much are we talking a night?" I asked him seriously.

He then gave me a number and a whistled. But I knew I could afford it.

"As I said, expensive." The receptionist spoke.

"We'll take it." Elesa and I said at the same time. We then shared a look but only for a moment before we refocused our attention on the receptionist.

"Well alright then. I'll book it for you two. But one more thing you should know. It's only a one bedroom suite." He said.

"That's-"

"-No problem at all." Elesa spoke. Before I could finish speaking.

When she did so I turned and gave her a look that said 'Really?'.

Because again, we've only known each other a short time and now she's saying she's alright sharing a one bedroom hotel suite with me. I don't even have the words.

"Oh, what's the matter Ezra? Are you perhaps thinking something naughty will happen if we're alone in a hotel room together?" Elesa asked me, a smirk on her face. She then ran a finger slowly but surely along my left arm.

'This girl.' I thought.

She's trying to get a rise out of me.

Well too can play that game.

"I'm just worried you may not be able to control yourself if you accidentally see me in nothing but a towel when I come out of the shower. My body glistening with water." I said, whispering in her ear as I did so.

Leaning back I saw a small blush on Elesa face.

Ezra one: Elesa zero.

"So cute, how long have you kids been together?" The receptionist asked.

Elesa and I turned to face them and then immediately spoke at the same time.

"We're not like that."

"Right." He said. "Well I'll book that room. Also, if you need protection just asked." He whispered that last part.

Which made Elesa and I both get blushes on our faces.

Going through a second puberty really sucks I tell you.

In my pajamas I sat on the couch in the hotel suite.

Taking in the view of the Castelia City night skyline as I did so.

Since the hotel we are at is located right near the heart of downtown and twelve stories tall. The suite Elesa are sharing is on the very top floor.

It's a glorious room, that even has a space for our pokemon.

Who are all hanging out.

Except for Gyarados.

She's too big. But I still fed her and tended to her early so she's fine.

Stifling a yawn I realized how tired I really was.

So I moved to grab some pillow and blankets and then set up the coach to sleep on.

Only to hear Elesa speak up behind me.

"Ezra, what do you think you are doing?" She asked.

Turning around I found her in her own set of pajamas. A pair of black sweat pants, and a yellow shirt that was a size to big for her.

"Making the couch up since that is where I am sleeping tonight." I explained.

"No you aren't." She said.

"Yes, I am." I said.

"No, you are not. Not with all the money we are spending on this suite." Elesa explained to me. Since we each paid half of the room cost. Which hold me Elesa comes from money just like me, since there is no way a newbie trainer could've covered the cost she had to pay. "Now no more arguing. You are going to join me in bed. Even if I have to drag you to it myself."

"Oh my, I didn't think you were the aggressive type." I said.

A moment passed before Elesa realized what she just said, and got a blush on her face.

"You know I didn't mean it like that!"

"Sure, sure." I said.

"I didn't." She said once more. "All I meant was that I want you to have a good sleep. That way you can train your pokemon and be prepared for your gym battle. It's not right that only one of us should be."

"I understand." I said.

From the look in Elesa eye I knew arguing would only make things worse. So I gathered the pilow and blanket I had and followed her into the bedroom.

But as I did so I noticed her Zebstrika staring daggers at me. His look saying 'Ty anything and you'll regret it'.

Meanwhile I noticed my pokemon giving me smug grins. While Dragonite was making a rather obscene gesture, which I understood the meaning of immediately.

Deciding to ignore the pokemon I moved to the bed and set up a pillow between Elesa and I.

I then laid down, as did she.

Then before I knew it I was off to dreamland.

The bed being extremely comfortable. Making the suite worth all the money Elesa and I paid for it.

Feeling sunlight on my face I slowly but surely opened my eyes.

Yawning as I did so.

Only to notice a weight atop me.

Focusing I saw it was Elesa.

It seem in the middle of the night she climbed atop me and stared using me as a body pillow without even realizing it.

Staying calm I slowly tried to pry her off me, but her grip remained iron tight.

I then started using a bit more force, only for Elesa's eyes to shoot open.

We then stared at each other.

"Morning." I said.

"Yeah, the same. Also, it seems something is poking me." Elesa said.

That's when I realized my other head was directly in Elesa's stomach.

Which made me think I should've slept on the couch last night like I was going to do in the first place.
