Professor Oak turns his head toward Daisy, "Dear, could you leave us for a second." He stated as he pats Tobi's shoulder.

"Uhmm....." Daisy was startled at Professor Oak's sudden request as she seems hesitant to answer.

"It's ok." Tobi reassured while releasing a calming smile which was contrary to what he was thinking.

'Did he notice something suspicious?! Is he going to arrest me?!' Tobi's thoughts are in a mess as he unsuspiciously hides his hand behind his back.

"...If you say so." Daisy at first was hesitant but finally agree as she walks away with Blue beside her.

Professor Oak and Tobi didn't say a word as they watch Daisy's and Blue's silhouettes disappear.

".....What do you want to talk about, sir?" Tobi hesitantly asked as he prepared to quickly withdraw a pistol in his inventory if something happened.

"Don't be so tense, come sit." Professor Oak doesn't seem in a hurry as he proposes for them to sit down.

Tobi glanced at the bench Professor Oak was pointing as he relaxedly sat down but his other hand was still hidden behind him.

Professor Oak also noticed it but he didn't mind as he also calmly sat down beside Tobi.

"I'll be honest with you boy, do you love my granddaughter?" Professor Oak no longer beat around the bush as he directly asked Tobi.

Hearing Professor Oak's question, Tobi at first was stunned but soon calmed himself as his tense body loosen up.

"Yes!" Tobi answered as his voice gets higher showing his determination.

Professor Oak smiled, he was pleased with Tobi's answer.

He looked straight into Tobi's eyes, "You see boy, I noticed an uncontrollable love in my Granddaughter's eyes for you and I don't want her to get hurt..."

"But that doesn't mean I'll just let her marry any random dudes! So tell me, do you have what it takes to be worthy of my granddaughter's hand?!" Professor Oak once again asked with a serious voice showing how important this conversation was.

Tobi was 'speechless' at Professor Oak confession as he 'collect' some courage to responds.

".....You might think that I'm just a merely orphan who all wanted was to suck your Granddaughter's money but, Never, Never question my manliness!" Tobi also responds as his voice was shaky and was loud displaying how 'serious' he was.

Professor Oak's eyes gleamed at Tobi's answer as he perceived Tobi's 'genuine' feelings for Daisy.

But that wasn't enough for Professor Oak, he wanted to learn more about Tobi to completely trust him.

"I am asking you once again! do you have what it takes to be worthy for my Granddaughter?!" Professor Oak once again asked but with a moderate tone full of seriousness this time.

"Yes! I'll do my best!" Tobi 'sincerely' answered completely gaining Professor Oak's consent.

"Hahaha, I like you boy." Professor Oak heartily laughed as his serious demeanor instantly vanished.

Tobi on the other hand was 'confused' as he look toward Professor Oak confusingly.

"Boy do you know about sponsorships?" Professor Oak suddenly asked an odd question which completely confused Tobi this time.

"No sir." Tobi's interest was piqued as he calmly answer.

"Well let me break it down for you, Sponsorships are given to Rookie Students by the high officials or high families they preferred, Sponsorships bring a lot of benefits depending on who sponsors who gave it.

Tobi listen soundly to every word Professor Oak said not to miss even a single word which worked as he finally got the gist of what Sponsorship was.

"....Are you planning to give me sponsorship?" Tobi asked perceiving Professor Oak's intention.

"You're also smart, particularly only people who graduated from Trainer school have a chance to receive a sponsorship from me but I'm making you an exception but...." Professor Oak didn't give Tobi some time to be 'happy' as he pauses.

"....you need to pass a test. Can you do it?" Professor Oak continues and asked Tobi.

"Bring it!" Tobi responds with determination.

"Hahaha chill for a bit, your test was still far away." Professor Oak laughed at Tobi's response who seems 'embarrassed' hearing him laugh.

"I'll tell you what your test was the day before you leave, for now, I'm gonna give you the benefits first."

"Do you know about the three Kanto starters?" Professor Oak continue asking.

"Yes, it's Charmander, Bulbasaur, and Squirtle." Tobi answered as he named the three Pokemons.

"Good, now I'll explain the benefits of my sponsorships, A Kanto starter of your choice and a Pokedex." Professor Oak further explains why it was the only benefit a trainer receives.

For trainers, freedom was the most important thing they could ever wish for, and only Professor Oak's sponsorships grant those which explains why many people still choose to join his sponsorships.

And not all receive Kanto starters, only the Top 1 to 3 receive it while others were random but fortunately, Professor Oak's pokemons possessed a high aptitude.

"So tell me, what Kanto Starters do you want?"

Tobi held his chin as he fell into deep thought.

He knew he needed to carefully decide as it would be a huge addition to his strength.

A silhouette of a flying lizard with flame on its tail and its intimidating eyes appeared in his mind.

"....I'll choose Charmander!" Tobi at first hesitate and took his time but as his decision solidified, he answered with pure resolve.

Professor Oak smiled seeing how serious Tobi was taking all of this, "Let's go then." He said as he stand up and walk in a certain direction.

Tobi also followed as they continue walking for about 15 minutes as they reached the Charmander's lair.

Tobi was agape at what he was seeing right now, in front of him stood a river but unlike a normal river, it was filled with lava and a waterfall of lava was also present.

*Smile* "This is the fire zone, where the majority of Fire-type Pokemon inhabitants due it's the environment." Professor Oak explained seeing Tobi's shocked face.

"Let's get moving." Professor Oak proposed as they continue walking closer to the river.

The closer Tobi gets into the river, the hotter he gets as it gets to the point where he could no longer tolerate it.

Suddenly a refreshing sensation surged in his body as he perceived a layer of psychic protecting his body from the heat.

He also noticed a layer of psychics covering Professor Oak's body as they continue walking.

He didn't bother asking knowing it was rude.

After a while of walking, they finally reached the waterfall as they stood in front of it.

Tobi reached his hand into it but thanks to the psychic, he wasn't hurt.

"Let's go inside." Professor Oak stated as he walks straight into the waterfall.

Tobi tags along as he also walks past the waterfall and found himself inside a huge cave hidden beneath the waterfall.

He saw a lot of Charmander playing around minding their own business while some noticed their arrival.

"Let's go deeper"
