Begging for Mercy

"Aren't you planning to seek revenge for Alexander?" Connor smiled and asked Chase.

Upon hearing his question, Chase couldn't help but pause for a moment, and then stuttered, "Mr. Connor, to be honest, Alexander is not my benefactor, and I didn't mean to seek revenge for him..."

Everyone's expressions showed helplessness upon hearing Chase's words. No one expected him to be so submissive in front of Connor and admit to everything.

Connor's eyes flashed with disdain, but he didn't continue to argue with Chase.

He was well aware that Chase was only seeking temporary gains, which led him to try and harm Connor.

But in truth, there was no deep hatred between them, and Connor had no intention of hating or killing Chase over this matter.

Chase had no backbone, and after this incident, he would probably tremble at the mere mention of Connor's name. Connor wasn't worried about any retaliation from Chase.
