Chapter 113: A talk

Kisuke and Yoruichi paused before Yoruichi asked, "So why have you brought her here?"

"Didn't I tell you about her yesterday? You will be Okita-san's guardian and teacher to train her." Seiya smiled and revealed the news.

"What?! Oi, I don't remember ever making such a deal! I refuse to babysit anyone!" Yoruichi immediately refused. Her hands were already tied as a lazy cat she was, protecting Seiya and his harem. She wasn't going to look after just anyone.

After hearing Yoruichi's denial, Seiya sighed and looked towards Okita, who looked a little dejected.

"Okita-san, you should stroll around and familiarize yourself with the place. If any empty room picks your interest, let me know then. I will set your room." Seiya asked.

Okita nodded and went inside.

"I don't think Seiya-kun would bring anyone here. Let's hear him first." Kisuke suggested Yoruichi, who reluctantly agreed to listen for now.

Seiya then explained Okita's background and her abilities briefly. He wasn't sure how Yoruichi and Kisuke would depict Okita's character, but he decided not to hide much.

For Okita's background, Kisuke and Yoruichi didn't look much empathetic, unlike Seiya, since they had much worse backstories.

As for Okita's abilities, they were in a daze since Okita's ability to be born with historic Okita Souji was scarce.

"Are you sure that she has the spirit of the real deal, Okita Souji?" Kisuke asked while rubbing his chin with a grin.

"You both know that I have super OP skill where I can discern anything, right? If you see her skills, I bet you will also be in disbelief once you see her abilities. Unlike us who have to learn such skills from someone, Okita-san is self-taught." Seiya explained.

"I see. This is indeed a rare case. I am impressed that you were able to find her. If not for her male name, she would have walked ahead without anyone knowing it." Kisuke added.

"Hey, don't ignore me. I still haven't given my consent!" Yoruichi retorted.

"Look, Yoruichi, I am not asking to look after a child for all eternity. She still has a grandpa. It is just a matter of finding him. Then she will move out. I will also be handling everything on my side."

Reason Seiya wanted Yoruichi to take Okita was because of two reasons.

One, Seiya was short on time. Combining his novel writing, looking after the game, and training overnight to hone his combat skills took a massive toll on his body.

Secondly, Seiya wanted Okita to reach the level where she could defend herself from even supernatural enemies. For that, there was no better choice than Yoruichi. Seiya would also be guiding Okita from time to time, but he holds a soft spot for the girl, and as such, she won't grow like Okitasan from the game. He needed to see Okita in her prime.

"Well, I won't force you now. Since you don't want to..." Seiya said, looking a little dejected.

"Arggg, fine! Now stop with emotional drama!" Yoruichi groaned, agreeing with Seiya's task to look after Okita.

"That's good. I won't ask you why you are drinking in daylight." Seiya smiled.

"Oi, that's a cheap bargain! Add something for pay!"

"Nope~! You will be Miss Kanie in the future, so you need to learn how to manage the budget."

"Tch," Yoruichi clicked her tongue with rosy cheeks. She didn't know how the heck Seiya's cheeky lines worked on her every time.

Soon, Okita also returned after strolling all around the residence.

"Wow, Seiya-san. Your house is so big but also warm~." Okita exclaimed with an excited smile.

"You like it?" Seiya smiled and stroke Okita's head.

"Hehe," Okita's giggled with rosy cheeks, accepting the stroke with warmth. "But there are bottles all over the place. Why is that?"

Seiya got startled before turning around and found Yoruichi whistling like she was innocent.

Seiya rolled his eyes and sighed. For now, he decided to overlook it.

He then gave Okita details about her schedule and what she might be learning from Yoruichi. Yoruichi wanted to test Okita's skills, so Seiya left Okita in Yoruichi's care and went inside to clean the place.

"She definitely needs a scolding..." Seiya shook his head dejectedly. While the floor wasn't dusty, bottles and cans of alcohol were all over the place.

He didn't have time to frown, so he tied a white cloth like a mask, picked up the broom, and started cleaning.

A few minutes later, Seiya came out and sat beside Kisuke.

"That's why I would never want to live with her. It doesn't take her long to turn a clean room into a garbage section." Kisuke said as he sipped a cup of sake.

"Well, maybe her sense of time doesn't work like us. After all, she is older than us and has lived in solitude." Seiya smiled as he watched Yoruichi testing Okita's Flash Steps. "By the way, you said the spirit possession is rare, so does that mean you have come across someone like her?"

"Yes. You are a prime example, after all."

"Wait, really? What kind of spirit do I possess?"

"Not spirit humans but gods, Roman Gods."

Seiya widened his eyes. Venus Driver was a blessing granted to him by one but the system. He didn't know if he would be receiving more gifts from other roman gods. For now, he decided to leave the matter to be.

"I have come across many, but I believe such a supernatural phenomenon occurs where spirits of gods or other legends try to possess humans as their host. It usually brings a lot of trouble to the host, for example, me and Yoruichi where, according to you, we have other selves on another world, also got these powers and got adjusted to our souls. The reasons and timing are still unknown."

So that was the reason why Yoruichi got her powers. Although she didn't have soul powers where she naturally learned to turn into a cat-like in the anime Bleach, similar capabilities were born within her, which turned her into the Yoruichi that Seiya knows today.

Let's suppose there is a person who uses a magic ring to shoot fireballs in his life. However, he can also shoot fireballs in his second life, even without the need for that magic ring.

As Seiya was thinking, Yoruichi approached Seiya along with Okita.

"Her skills are really similar to that Okita brat I know. For now, she needs rest." Yoruichi explained. Seiya remembered that Yoruichi was quite old and had been alive since the ancient Edo period, so she must have seen these legends with her eyes. "Anyway, I need to do something so that I will be going."

Saying that Yoruichi turned into a black cat and jumped on the rood before disappearing from everyone's sight.

Seiya was confused as to why Yoruichi was so upset. He didn't see any reason as to why Yoruichi looked so dejected. Was taking care of a child too much for her?

"Oooo! Sensei is real, youkai! She said she has met real Okita Souji and has trained him too. I can't believe I will be learning from such a legend~!" Okita explained with excitement. Seiya smiled, glad that Okita didn't go for dark root from all that beating she took from her uncle and aunt. He would prefer the FGO cheery version of Okita-san to the edgy version of Red Line.

"I have set your room. You can see for yourself and tell me if you need anything.

"Yay~!" Okita cheered and was about to rush when she stopped and smiled at Seiya with rosy cheeks and bowed, "Thank you, Seiya-san, for everything."

Seiya smiled and nodded before Okita took her to leave.

"Another member of your imperial harem?"

"Hmm."

He wasn't sure about Okita-san. After the incident with Isuzu, Seiya realized he had yet to understand girls' emotions and couldn't force his way out even if he was a narcissist. He would still make a harem, but he won't be pursuing every girl that piques his interest.

"But what's up with Yoruichi today? She looks quite sad." Seiya asked, remembering Yoruichi's odd behavior.

"You must ask this yourself since the wound might still be fresh for the 300 years old, youkai."

Seiya nodded and raised his head in the direction of the cat. The problem now was finding the black cat in the dark. He hoped Yoruichi to take human form when he came to see her at night. Oh right, her human form is also dark.
