"Hey, what does this thing here do?" Megumin asks as she picks a Plasma Pistol from what was left of the Phantom.
"Grip it tightly in your hand, pull the trigger to fire, and only shoot in small bursts. Keep your hands out from in front of it and try not to burn your hands." he robotically explains having already used his [Gandalfr] runes to learn all of the Covenant weaponry.
"There's a live one over here!" Saeko calls out and drags a severely burned Sangheili from under some scrap plating.
"U-unhand me... Heretic..." the Elite groans helplessly at Saeko's grip, trying to squirm himself free.
"Hello." Michael greets in the alien's own language, causing its eyes to shoot open.
"Heretics learning the holy tongue!? You will all burn in the flames of the Great Journey!"
"Yeah, no... Guys, I'ma take this guy and have a few words with him. Try not to blow yourselves up on alien tech... And drag anything useful into a pile so I can store it." he states, leaving as the duo and Darth get to work.
"So, friend, you're going to tell me what I want to know." Michael smiles at the alien who unconsciously starts trembling... Never before had the Elite experienced the full attention of a God before...
-------------------------------------------
Michael claps the blue blood from his hands as he returns to his friends, "Alright, that guy knew almost nothing, but there's a larger Covenant encampment North-West from here which apparently has an Ultra Elite stationed there. That guy'll know what we want."
"Guys?" he asks again at the non-response.
Saeko sighs, "Megumin... She found the Plasma Grenades..."
*BOOOOOM!*
"So she did... Hey! You can use them on the aliens! Stop wasting them!" he shouts, Blinking over and destroying the sticky grenade that'd stuck to a panicking Megumin's palm.
"Er, yeah, maybe you should have them?" she says while sending cautious looks at the large pile of inactive grenades. Seems that almost getting blown up had set her straight... Huh, could this remove her explosion obsession?
"So, when are we gonna blow them up? I can use my magic if you want?"
Nevermind.
----------------------------------------------
The trio peaked over a cliff that overlooked the Covenant camp, it'd been hastily constructed in such an obscure spot just to hide from the aerial scouting and radars of the 'Heretics', this just made it very easy for ground forces to spy on them however.
Many Shade turrets(Big Explosive Plasma Machine Guns) had been set up around tactical positions of the area. Still, Michael was more worried about the Ultra Elite getting accidentally killed in the crossfire than anything else.
Megumin wanted to one-shot them all and Saeko wanted to go in guns-or sword blazing. He was going to let them, once he'd secured the target...
Thankfully, it doesn't take much observing to spot the Sangheili dressed in bright white armour ordering the nearby Covenant soldiers to do various tasks. "Alright, once I take this guy you two can do what you want. Try not to die, but if you do, stay in one piece... It makes resurrecting you easier." he states, Blinking away and snatching the Ultra as all the Covenant watch with wide eyes.
"EXXXPPPLOOOOSIIIOOON!" Megumin's voice echoes across the clearing.
*BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!*
------------------------------------
The Ultra Elite struggles out of Michael's grip, slashing one of his Energy Swords and forcing the Daedric Lord to let go.
"Damn Heretic! Draw your weapon! I will grant you an honourable death at my hands!"
Michael shrugs, retrieving an Ebony Sword from his inventory and stepping into a casual stance. The elite takes this as a challenge and instantly lunges at him, only to find that his Energy Sword was unable to cut through the Ebony weapon...
"I WILL TAKE THE BLADE AND YOUR HEAD AS A TROPHY!"
"You Elites sure do have a one-track mind, huh?" Michael drawls as he continues at his opponent's pace.
The fight proceeds for five or so more minutes with the Elite not achieving anything of substance aside from exhausting himself. A crack announces the second Energy Sword that the Elite wields in its other hand as he charges once more.
Michael catches one blade with his sword and the other in his hand, the Elite struggles to move with his weapons locked in place, eyes blinking warily at the hand carelessly gripping the plasma blade...
"Wha-"
*Smack!*
Michael wrenches the alien's weapons away and kicks it in the face, sending its helmet spinning off in one direction. "Alright, we're going to play twenty questions, and I'll be asking all of them." he says, cracking his knuckles.
-------------------------------------------------------
When Michael returns to the Covenant encampment he's greeted by a burnt hellscape filled with severed limbs, decapitated heads, and half-turned-to-ash bodies, all courtesy of Megumin and Saeko.
"You guys finished? Cuz I know where Captain Keys is!"
Megumin nods with a grin and hops away, only to come back while dragging a large piece of metal piled high with Covenant weapons and armour.
Saeko herself was trying in vain to wipe the multicoloured blood from her robes, all the while grimacing at the smell of it. Indeed, Grunt, Jackle, Elite, and whatever else's blood smelt far, far worse than most Earth-bound creatures' blood. "Are the 'Flood' going to smell as bad as this? I might stay back if that's the case."
"If you get the Wolf strength you get the nose too. Toooo bad!" Megumin laughs at her as Michael stores all of her loot.
"I'm pretty sure it's gonna smell worse. The Flood are like, mushroom plant zombies made of stomach acid, pus and whatever else. Maybe we should follow Master Chief and get ourselves some helmets..." what he wasn't saying was his hesitation to allow any chance of either Megumin or Saeko to get infected... Who knew what'd happen if the Flood got a body that had magic in it...
