Unvasion...

"Okay men! Prepare yourselves! Once the beasts have charged, we will go in afterwards! We'll send those Germanian dogs back to their damned sand huts! And make them wish they'd never tried to invade our honourable lands!" an Albion commander screams at the top of his lungs while addressing his men, the small army roaring in response to his words.

He then turns to face the Germanian encampment, watching as their army of orcs, goblins, ogres, and whatever other monster could be found native to Albion.

*Raaaaaaarrrrrgh!*

A group of heavily muscled orcs charge, their arms raised and ready to swing their heavy-looking warhammers at anyone who gets too close, and their makeshift armour gleaming in the sunlight.

Each monster, depending on its strength, has been outfitted with some armour each... Goblins received basically nothing, maybe a scavenged helmet if they were lucky. But it was the orcs and ogres who truly made this force scary.

Each orc and ogre was outfitted with enough iron to fit a kitchen. it wasn't armour in the traditional sense, but iron bands that'd been bent to fit around their bodies, providing a good amount of protection from non-magical harm.

Germanian's fire arrows through the air, which cascade down like droplets of rain. Goblins die with one or two hits, their screams of agony and surprise ringing out through the battlefield, but is suppressed by the angry roars of the other fighters.

Orc and Ogre skin is too durable to be harmed by any half-hearted arrow, thus, any that are not deflected by their armour only go skin deep. Most of these stick, however, causing many monsters to start looking like hedgehogs, despite the fact that they were almost entirely uninjured.

Mages atop the makeshift wooden and magically conjured stone walls shoot fireballs and other magic at the approaching monsters, but the orcs and ogres just raise their arms or makeshift shields to block them, many of the wooden shields bursting into flames as they're struck.

The magic kills many of them, the wall-mounted cannons even more so, but eventually the creatures reach the Germanian defences.

*WWWWAAAAAAAAAAARRRGHHHHHHHHH!*

An orc screams in unison with his brothers as he crashes into the makeshift wall, stopping on a dime as his momentum is halted completely. Angered by this, the orc angrily starts slamming his warhammer into the tied together logs, leaving big gashes across it.

*Pooooush!*

The orc suddenly screams in agony as burning hot oil drops onto it from above, the defenders gloating as they prepare another barrel of oil and have a fire mage begin rapidly heating it.

Unfortunately for the Germanian's, the monster army was simply too large to easily eliminate with their current preparations. Such tactics and creatures had never been used in a war like this before, surprising the Germanian commanders who had little to no idea how a battle like this would pan out.

An ogre larger than the rest stomps towards the wall and slams its axe into it, before using the tool to begin prying the logs apart. This works marvellously, forcing open a gap large enough for many goblins to get through. Other orcs and ogres see this and begin doing it themselves, causing multiple breaches on multiple fronts.

Germanian Earth Mages attempt to halt this by reinforcing the defences, but many are forced to retreat as goblins and orcs begin throwing stones and large rocks at them. Indeed, Goblin had even started streaming up behind the mages after getting inside, killing many with savage stabs to their backs.

The Albion commander, seeing the battle going in their favour grins and raises his wand-swrod up high, "CHARGE MEN! FOR ALBION! FOR THE KING!" he roars, leading his men towards the Germanian fortifications.

Unfortunately, Germania weren't just lambs ready for the slaughter. They had other countermeasures, despite the peculiar situation.

Airships rise into the sky and begin unloading their cannons at the battlefield, killing many thousand Albion men and monsters alike. Small squadrons of Dragon Knights leap from the decks of the airships, beginning to unleash dragon fire and spells on any who oppose them.

This abrupt change in momentum causes many monsters to flee, trambling Albion soldiers underfoot as they run from the death and destruction caused by the Germanian military. Behind the walls, the Germanian footmen are finally able to begin pushing back the tides of monsters with most of the ones coming through the wall getting annihilated by the airforces.

The thing that struck the final nail in the coffin was when the Germanian log-wall abruptly burst into flames, the whole thing lighting up as if it'd been covered by oil and kindling the entire time. Many monsters who were crawling through it were quickly burned alive, with many fleeing at first sight of it, their instincts towards fire overpowering whatever effect the mind-control potion had on them.

When the monsters broke rank, so did the human Albion soldiers, all of them fleeing as quickly as possible despite the urgings of their leaders. The battle was done, and massively in favour of Germania.

With this single victory, almost forty percent of Albion's military had been annihilated. Leaving King Wales and his forces in an incredibly dire state... To most, the war was already finished with this battle alone, so even if King Wales continued to try and fight back, it'd be a loss regardless of what he did.

Albion's military was halved, the citizens were drained and most young men applicable for military service had already died due to the civil war and current one.

Everyone knew what they were seeing before them was the twilight days of Albion. And most wondered how long it'd be until it finally fell.
