Chapter 9 - Burning the Nomu

"EVERYONE! PLEASE WALK TO THE EMERGENCY EXIT IN AN ORDERLY FASHION!" Present Mic shouted those sentences repeatedly, as the panic had struck everyone in the audience.

As every civilian was panicking for their life, the Pro Heroes one by one leaped downward to deal with the intruder only to have their jaws wide open, seeing the scene of blood imploding outwards from the enemy's body.

Endeavor, the ever-flaming looking dude who was also Todoroki's dad, noticed that there's one less person in the arena.

He asked his son just to get a 'I don't know' as an answer causing him to get alarmed.

"He's definitely not abducted or anything, but the moment that monster exploded, he vanished." Todoroki explained to his father.

"He vanished?" Endeavor was confused for a bit. "You too, go to a safe place first."

Saying that, flames suddenly exploded from both of his palms, propelling his huge body to the air before changing his flight path to the stadium's gate where his agency had contacted him about intruders trying to get in with bruteforce.

But on the way he noticed a man with a big stature was standing atop the stadium roof. Due to how suspicious the man looked, he blasted his way towards the man.

*Bang*

"Who are you?! State your identity!" Endeavor landed near the man with a bang.

"Ohh?! I didn't expect someone to notice me already. How unfortunate of you." The man spoke in a weird tone, before he suddenly activated his quirk that enlarged his right arm.

The man punched without any warning, sending an air punch towards Endeavor who couldn't react in time and ended up blown away for another hundred meters.

"As expected of the absolute number 2 Hero." The man grinned when he saw that Endeavor could stand on his ground after being blown away by his fist.

"I can assume you're the one who's behind this attack." Endeavor snorted and propelled himself towards the man, trying to close their gaps.

The enemy, of course, didn't just stand there letting Endeavor approach him. He clenched his right arm once again and punched the flaming man who easily dodged the straightforward punch.

Of course he had expected him to dodge that, as he sent another ten punches which only one of them hit Endeavor.

"This Is annoying." The man frowned as he glanced at the big bodied Endeavor having such agile movement. "My job here is to wreak as much havoc as I can, so I'll go first."

The man suddenly jumped away leaving Endeavor behind as he glided his way to the stadium grounds.

Seeing that, Endeavor blasted all of his flame to catch him, but was halted halfway by a grotesque looking abomination.

He grunted and fought the abomination with all he got.

Meanwhile, down in the arena was the man who successfully reached his destination and punched everything he could.

The remaining Pro Heroes who were busy escorting fleeing civilians noticed the arrival of the man and the numerous air fist that destroyed everything it touched.

All sorts of makeshift shields appeared, from water, rock, acid, ice and blood preventing the civilian from getting hurt.

Thankfully for them, because today was the U.A. Sports Festival, more than a hundred Heroes were on the location to handle this crisis.

Aizawa who had thought that only one Nomu was going to attack was caught off guard by the seemingly intelligent Nomu, who could laugh and taunt every Hero to attack him.

"Tch, why are they this hell bent on attacking U.A?" Aizawa put the civilian that he had just saved to safety before going to the location of the intruder.

There he met other teachers and Heroes who were strangely at the disadvantage even though they had the number advantage.

Seeing the situation, he activated his quirk which could seal the other person's quirk and realized that the man really was a Nomu.

While the Heroes were busy dealing with the intelligent Nomu, Kenjiki who had vanished from the stadium was seen standing on the sky accompanied by Nagant, Ei, and Shenhe.

"He's not here isn't he?" Kenjiki said with an annoyed smile, as he was worked up all for nothing. "Nagant, clean them up."

With just a word of his, Nagant bent her elbow upwards and activated her quirk that caused her elbow to morph to that of a fleshy sniper rifle.

She then ripped a bit of her hair and twisted it, making a bullet from her own hair and putting it into her palm that worked as a bullet magazine.

The moment the hair bullet was put inside, that one bullet suddenly became tens of bullets that were shot to each of the Nomu, blasting their head open.

Of course, with the tenacity of the average Nomu, it wouldn't kill them just yet. Because of that, and also her hair having a special attribute due to a strange energy enhancement, all of the Nomu suddenly burst in flame and died just like that.

With none of the Nomu alive, four of them left the area by The Door.

Everyone that was just fighting the seemingly invincible Nomu was baffled by the sudden death of that abomination of a being.

Where once they were in a stalemate fighting the lone beast, something flew downwards from the sky and pierced Nomu's head before it turned to ash due to it suddenly catching fire.

At first they thought it was Endeavor who killed it, but after they heard that same thing happened to the Nomu he was fighting, they were beyond confused and afraid. Because, to kill something so strong from far away was quite the achievement.

At the same time they were relieved they weren't the one that was targeted by this unknown person.

Now that the crisis had passed, Aizawa walked to the gathering of Pro Heroes as something small came out of the cloth that covered his neck.

A small white furry mouse, yes, a mouse.

"Thank you all for the help on fending off the intruder and resulting in the safety of the civilian." The mouse bowed his small body.

"It's nothing much, it's our duty to fight those evildoers." Endeavor spoke first with his prideful face.

Although they rolled their eyes at his words, they didn't say anything to save their faces and the mouse who needed to do such a thing to contain the Pro Heroes' opinion.

"Even though it's regrettable, we'd have to waste your time here to answer everything that might be important in investigating the intruder's identities." The mouse once again spoke, which was met with a tired smile.

Meanwhile, a deep purple misty vortex opened in the sky and a huge muscular man was thrown out of it. The muscular man had a confused face plastered on his face.

He was All Might, a Hero whom everyone had waited to come to fight the intelligent Nomu but to their destroyed hope, he never arrived.

"All Might!! Where have you been?!" Endeavor roared furiously, as he thought the number one Hero had abandoned his duty.

"I was caught by a teleportation quirk." All Might smiled wryly as he replied to the loud question and started to explain what he had experienced.
