Storm and silence 20

What comes after the storm silence? After the fight, I never saw Lucien again. He didn't come to the training field or even his room. He avoided me altogether. I trained with Amir, we talked about everything except Lucien. It looked like he wanted to broach the topic, but he kept his mouth shut. The short time I have been here, I came to the conclusion that none of the boys saw me apart from a walking sex toy. So, I stayed away, the few daring ones even offered to train with me. But they could hardly move their eyes from my boobs, so I declined.

"So, have you seen Lucien?", asked Amir. "No", I clipped. "You know, he never took an interest in training anyone before", he said, without noticing my disinterest. I didn't bother with a reply. "Whenever I begged him to come down here. He is always busy. If I wasn't wrong, he generally hated being associated with the military except while fighting the actual war ", he said. I sighed. I wanted to avoid hearing about Lucien anymore, but I didn't say anything. But it suddenly piqued my interest. I thought he was a cruel war machine, but I was getting quite the opposite account from Amir. "You did excellently with him. I know he can be hard but believe me it was only for your benefit. I have asked him to tone it down with you. But you know him, he hardly listens to anybody except you. You did manage to stop his heart after all", he said with a smile.

"Can we talk about something else, please ", I told Amir? "Why? I thought you were", he hesitated for a second and said," lovers. I raised my eyebrows at him. He is Subtle, at least he didn't say whore. "No, I'm not his lover, I told him. He looked astonished to hear that. I rolled my eyes, is that hard to believe? I thought our constant fights might have alerted everyone about that.

"I'm sorry for making that assumption ", he said. "Why would you be? Isn't that my purpose of being here to be a whore ", I said, my eyes stung by tears. "Don't think like that there are many things I differ from Igor and having selection is one of them", he told me regretfully. "Why just Igor isn't Lucien involved in this?", I asked him. "No, Lucien was always against it. But he couldn't do anything about it. He is not a king yet ", he said.

"Even if Lucien becomes king, will that change anything for us?", I asked Amir. "Lucien hates all humans, including me. I thought it is obvious to everyone who watches us", I told him. "On the contrary, I would say you two reminds me of my courtship. I was married and very much in love", Amir said. "What happened? ", I asked him. My wife was taken and killed. I suspect she was raped before she was murdered. She was taken by humans. If you ask here, every one would tell you at least one story of how their loved ones were taken by your kind", said Amir. I looked down, not entirely sure how to respond to that.

"If you think anything of me at all,, please give Lucien a chance. He never disrespected you and didn't allow anyone to do so in his presence. If that doesn't constitute love, I don't know what will? ", he told me. My eyes widened at Love.

"We are not in love, Amir. He only took me in because he is worried I'm a spy or something. He was only with me to extract some information. Once he realized that I wasn't, he lost his interest in me", I told him. ",

"He checks in daily with me and ask about your progress ", said Amir. I looked surprised to hear this. "He only wishes for your best. He now knows he wasn't a good coach. I would say conflict of interest. You can't be objective when you are into your student. I speak of this from experience ", he said laughingly.

"Amir, stop shipping us hard. I don't know why. I never wanted to be in love, at least with a lycan. When you grow up, impoverished love is the last thing on your mind", I told him. He shrugged in response. I wanted to escape from Amir, I can't endure another lecture from him. " I want to catch up with the girls, so would you mind if I cut our session short?", I asked him. He gave me his permission, so I just ran towards the castle. I wanted to meet the girls genuinely. I missed their being with the lycans full time was messing with my head.

When I reached the dining hall, all the girls warmly greeted me. They were all concerned for me because I was absent all these days. Mina and I talked a lot. She wanted to hear all about Lucien and when I said I have no idea where he was she was disappointed. After the dinner we both went outside handing hand. I accidentally hit someone. I mumbled a sorry and saw a familiar beautiful face but marred by a disgusting expression.

"Oh it's you. I heard you are training with Amir. Well, at least now you are earning your keep instead of whoring yourself to us. To think I thought you as my competition now I think about it, you have never stood a chance with my Lucien. By the way, he is with me all the time now", she said gloating. I rolled my eyes at her.

She then passed by me with a dismissive wave. "Why wouldn't you put her in her place? ", asked Mina. "I want to avoid fighting with her, I has enough enemies as it is", I told her. She wanted to argue,, but I pulled her hands away and dragged her down to the garden. I was so happy here, nothing could change that.
