I heard a cheer and several wolf whistles, breaking us apart. I mentally thanked them for their intervention. I might do something stupid like kissing him if we didn't stop now. Until now, I thought I wasn't attracted to him. But now I know I was to some extent. He was my enemy and it was dangerous. The forbidden part is adding to its appeal,, I guess. He looked distracted too. He wasn't in his safe place anymore. I'm in as danger as him. The war might have changed our equation,, but it didn't change ourselves. So, no matter how far we fight, we are still reminded that some place somewhere I'm a woman, and he is a man.

If I give into it, I might as well make some Lycan babies on the way. We stood away awkwardly,, but I could sense all his attention was focused on me. Even though he didn't look at me all the time, he always stood a few feet away from me.

Amir called for a break after Lucien spoiled our session. I decided that I didn't want to continue the session with Lucien breathing on my neck. I almost went to seek Amir to excuse myself but stopped in midway. I couldn't allow him to control me like that. I know what I should do.

I walked to Lucien and dragged him by his arms to talk in private. I know it was futile,, but I didn't dwell on it much. "What are you doing?", I asked him. He didn't reply, instead moved his arms away from my grasp." I'm not doing anything", he said in a whisper. "You can't barge in on my training session like that. Who gave you that right?", I asked him with my hands on my hips. He just shrugged. "If you don't stop it right now, I will take the matter up to your king ", I told him warning.

"The king you mean my father right?", he asked me in a bored voice. I narrowed my eyes at him. "If you are worried that I will do something bad then put me on guards I don't care, just don't be here in person. You know it's embarrassing ", I told him. "I don't trust anyone around you ", he said, and looked regretful. "I meant you can manipulate anyone, only I'm immune, he said.

"Oh really! How perceptive. I should make myself more alert now you know my plan. Please tell me how I had incorporated your father into it as well?", I asked him. "You must have put the idea into his head, he told me. "When did I do it exactly, since I was only sleeping with you to my knowledge? You think I slept with him as well?", I asked. People must think I was talking about sex, I should really hold my tongue.

He put both of his hands around me so tight that I couldn't escape. I looked at him bewildered. His lips descended on me to a shocking kiss. He was kissing me. I just couldn't believe it. I hated him and he hates me. Then why was I kissing him back. I had a plan of seducing him,, but I haven't thought of any plan so far. It was similar to the plan I had of winning the war. It was hopeless. I couldn't keep my head straight when he was kissing me. When his tongue prodded on my lips,, I pushed him away. He sighed and moved. I glared at him. How dare he disrespect me in front of all those people.

"That's for the lie you just said. Next time you lie about sleeping, make sure you do that. He leaned over and whispered in my ear, "I can't have you lying about sleeping with me when I haven't even kissed you yet". I looked at him astonishingly. What was he thinking? This wasn't about anything. This was his revenge for hinting that I slept with him. He exacted his revenge by kissing me. How does that even make any sense?

"Ok, that kiss had really lightened my mood. You can continue to practice. I will train you, that's my condition. Take it or leave it", he said. "I want Amir to train me" I said stomping my foot. "No Amir can't train you, especially in hand-to-hand combat. Maybe with archery. But only when I'm here", he said.

"No, I refuse to accept you as my trainer. Stop bossing around me", I told him. "Better take it, or I will take everything back I said", Lucien said, narrowing his eyes at me. "We will accept your condition ", said Amir, who was standing beside me. When had he come here? I feel so human, being among so many lycans with super speed and hearing skills.

"I thought you were busy. When I asked you before to do a demonstration for the trainees, you refused. I vaguely remember you saying something like I have better things to do than running around with some newbies", Amir said. Lucien frowned at him.

"So can I still teach her some archery? I promise to stand at least ten feet away from her", said Amir, winking at me. Lucien just rolled his eyes. "You seriously want to be trained by him. You are good and don't need some lousy shot teaching you. "Hey, I'm not a lousy shot. That time I was drunk", he said.

They were engaged in that playful banter that I wanted to leave them both and never come back. I could see friendship and camaraderie in them that I have never seen before. Lucien has a friend. If someone told me that before, I wouldn't have believed it.

"I also have a request to you guys both, can you please not engage in such amorous display before my men who hardly have any control over themselves. It's not a fun sight to stare at their hard on while you two are at it", said Amir. I put my head down, trying to control my flushed cheeks.

"You got a blusher their prince. She is a keeper", said Amir. I looked away, not wanting to hear Lucien's response.
