Hours later Saba Tamac entered Ave Azul's room. The princess was dressed normally. The Caribs did not mourn their dead, nor did they mourn them; to do so would be to indicate to the gods that the soul of the deceased was that of a coward, and did not deserve to dwell in the stars with the paladins who died fighting in the great Carib Wars.

---We are now officially at war-announced Saba Tamac calmly-you should thank your gods that you did not listen to the insults.

What did the ambassador --Timotocuicas ask about this girl,??--said the other, without stopping talking.

-- He was so indignant or frightened that he looked for a way to leave the palace as quickly as possible.

---As soon as they check my sister, they will realize that we ---extracted a creature?

What are you going to do? You are her aunt. They know that. My sister-in-law's pregnancy was public. They'll come to claim the child. They won't do that either.

---Saba Tamac. You know perfectly well that I am sterile. I cannot give you children and that is the point that always makes the edge between the two of us. Especially now, when you so desperately need a male heir. Additionally you can't give that child back. Those who killed Litu Ratu, surely covet that throne, which will be in dispute from today. I claim the rights to that throne for her; although I have no trace here. This girl was given to me by my sister. It was her decision. She is my blood and therefore I will put my Caribbean princess seals on her, she will have my rights in the islands and in my little fortune.

She will also be my legitimate daughter,--" Saba Tamac announced with emotion, --"I am responsible for everything for bringing her parents here. God has given me another female. That is my destiny. She will have my seal as my only daughter with you.
