Colin took out an old box with a handle that contained shoe polish, brushes and a polishing cloth and proceeded to shine his dress shoes. His white shirt was hanging in the closet freshly laundered by the Chinese Laundry on Seventh Avenue. As soon as Marc asked him to go out Thursday, he asked Mr. Chou to put a rush on the shirt for him. He ran a couple of errands for Mr. Chou when he worked at Feng-Weng Chinese as their delivery boy before he went to Mr. Zháo. When he wasn’t busy, Mr. Feng sometimes lent him to Mr. Chou to deliver folded and pressed laundry to apartments in Chelsea. Mr. Chou was an old friend.
