Chapter 177: Exam results and Sunday spends with family

The midterm examination result finally come out on Friday afternoon. When Mr.Ling came after the last period, he break the news that the examination has been posted on the academic board. He hinted that the result was a bit shocking even for himself, telling the students that they still have time to improve their grades before the end of semester examination.

"What do you think Mr.Ling means?" The students whisper to each other. Bai Yi Yang met Su Long eyes when she return to her seat after taking her phone. She smile at him and proceed to chat with the girls sitting next to her, they all can somehow guess their results so some feel like they will have worse result than before and so on.

After Mr.Ling release them, Bai Yi Yang walk with Bai Yi Chen to the academic announcement board together with some other classmates. Some of the boys already run to see the results in advance. They are already betting about their own placement in this exam this time. It was a bit difficult to see the results when they arrived because not only them, there are also students from other class and grade.

"Big news! Bai Yi Yang, you are number 1!" Liu Shan came out of the crowd and met with the Class 1 groups at the back that is waiting for their turn to look at the result.

"Really?!" Mo Yi Ru look at Bai Yi Yang wide eyed and decided to dive into the crowd to come in front of the board.

"Yeah, I checked it 10 times, Su Long is number 2." Liu Shan said again. The classmates immediately look at Bai Yi Yang and also Su Long who just arrived. Su Long looks calm, he have a small smile on his face instead as she ask Liu Shan again.

"Class monitor, you..are you okay?" Liu Shan feel guilty that he became too excited. Well, who won't? Su Long has always been the number 1 since junior high school, suddenly he was beaten by Bai Yi Yang this time.

"En. Yi Yang deserve it." Su Long said and smile at Bai Yi Yang. Only that Bai Yi Chen won't let him easily flirt with his sister so he purposely stand between them.

"I took picture, I took picture!" Mo Yi Ru said. It was actually Yu Shi Sheng the tallest girl in their class who took the picture using her phone, its just that Mo Yi Ru took it from her.

"1st place is really our little sheep!" Mo Yi Ru said, the little sheep she talk about is Bai Yi Yang. Instead of crowding to the board, Class 1 student is now forming their own circle, listening to Mo Yi Ru announcement.

"2nd place is the class monitor, 3rd place is Fang Xiu Ying, 4th place is Bai Yi Chen, 5th place is…" Mo Yi Ru goes on.

"Keep your voice down, it's embarrassing." Someone said when she was announcing the students outside the Top 10. Mo Yi Ru cover her mouth and look around the people, some have even look over their group and listen together. She proceed with pointing you and you instead of announcing the name.

Bai Yi Yang stay to the end, some are happy, some are a bit sad. But the effect is not that big, it's only midterm, it won't affect them that much. It's just that, the changing of number 1 ranking was a bit abrupt, from near the end of the Top 10, Bai Yi Yang raised into the number 1 spot.

After the result announcement, Bai Yi Yang bid goodbye to Bai Yi Chen. She still need to stay back at the lab and do some preparation. Actually the whole week is a bit busy but they will go all out this weekend.

Since Friday and Saturday was spent in the Chemistry lab, Bai Yi Yang can only spend her Sunday with her siblings. Because of this, the 5 of them ends up going to the town together. They grab some breakfast at a small restaurant, then go around to do some shopping, go to the market to eat some street food. They only arrived home at 2.30 pm because they stayed for an afternoon meal at Old Zhou house. It was Bai Yi Yang who cooked, Bai Yi Chen was busy coming back and forth to send their stuff back to their house.

"I am so tired." Bai Yi Mo didn't wait to get inside as he lie down immediately when the Main house door is open.

"Take a bath then we can go take a nap." Bai Yi Yang said. With this words, Bai Yi Ling half dragged the two kids to take a bath. Bai Yi Chen also do the same while Bai Yi Yang enter the kitchen to get busy.

She won't be home most of the days next week, so last night she already made a lot of food that they can just steam or reheat. She also portion out some meat and seafood, marinated some of them in advance. She add some note on the fridge from Monday to Thursday morning. Since they only need to eat breakfast and dinner at home, it wasn't that much.

Bai Yi Yang only finished everything at 4.00 pm. Her small siblings is still taking a nap in her bedroom while Bai Yi Chen is at the vegetables farm. Bai Yi Yang changed her clothes and go to the vegetables farm.

"Ge, take your time, Uncle Duan can only install the sprinkler tomorrow, it's a hassle to water them one by one." Bai Yi Yang said.

Bai Yi Yang has made appointment with Uncle Duan the plumber to make more sprinklers for their vegetables farm. If not, it will be too difficult to water all the plants. Uncle Duan is quite busy last week, he can only come this coming Monday, but there is no harm because they also just started replanting the seedlings.

Their vegetables field is not small at all, there are at least 100 patches in total, not included the area where Bai Yi Yang planned to make a greenhouse. The soil has been loosened up a bit but Bai Yi Yang and Bai Yi Chen need to work on it a bit more along the week, now, the patches looks more refined. It's not all about Bai Yi Yang power, them siblings also put a lot of work into the vegetables field, that's why they get a good harvest of the vegetables.

"Alright. Yang Yang, you go rest. You will travel for a long time tomorrow." Bai Yi Chen said.

"I am not tired." Bai Yi Yang smile and help Bai Yi Chen planting the vegetables sprouts.

They have become regular customers of the Plant Shop, even when they order a small amount, Mr.Song will send it to them no matter what. Mr.Song is also doing well, he have had 3 landscape projects so far, he tell Bai Yi Yang about it and show the results. However, their central courtyard is still the prettiest one he have designed for now.

"Ge, you take care of the payment after they finished installing the roof. Then, do the same with Uncle Duan. As for the greenhouse, show them the design I draw, let them make it according to my measurements, I already send it to them but just in case they need it." Bai Yi Yang said a bunch of reminders.

The roof tiles is for their new storage room, it takes longer because the workers need to install from scratch. So when they started on Saturday, it haven't finished, they can only finished it by tomorrow. But since they already had transactions with Uncle Zhou, they can only transfer it online, no need to meet face to face. Still, Bai Yi Chen need to check the work tomorrow too before making the payment.

As for the greenhouse, it was the one that the master suggested. Bai Yi Yang is not rushing but this weekend, the greenhouse builder contacted her, asking about the details since they wanted to start working the following week. So, Bai Yi Yang can only make her design in advance and let them look at it. She is not making random design, she also has done her research about greenhouse so her design is really reliable.

"Uncle Zhou said that he can wait until you return, no need to rush the payment." Bai Yi Chen said.

"No need, if your Allpay doesn't have enough, let's transfer more. I am holding the card but you can access it online anytime." Bai Yi Yang said.

"Alright. Uncle Zhou is just used to dealing with you." Bai Yi Chen add.

"Then ge, you should start dealing with this matter from now on." Bai Yi Yang smile.

"Cannot do. You are the head of the family." Bai Yi Chen said.

"Oh..I have been promoted." Bai Yi Yang joke. Bai Yi Chen also laugh at this, actually there are no head of family now, he used to act as the head of family but Bai Yi Yang's authority is equal to him now.

"TongTong will be staying here. When you enter the jungle, you let her follow you. She is clever, she can detect danger." Bai Yi Yang said.

"Okay, I know." Bai Yi Chen said.

TongTong is like their tiny guardian now, he have gone into the woods a few times without Bai Yi Yang and TongTong will always comes with him. One time, there is a snake and TongTong warn him in advance. There is no doubt that TongTong is very clever.

The twins do work until 5.00 pm before returning home. Bai Yi Yang only clean up lightly and enter the kitchen. The children is already awake, they are playing in the yard with the puppies and TongTong, rolling on the grass.

Bai Yi Yang planned to cook a lot for dinner today. She is making seafood tofu kimchi stew, steamed egg with crispy pork toppings, char siu, lion's head meatballs and stir fry leek. Making 5 dishes is uncommon. The children is excited for dinner.

"Jie, are you making this many dish because you are leaving for a long time?" Bai Yi Fang ask.

"Yes. I won't be back until Thursday so you all need to make food on your own for 3 days." Bai Yi Yang said.

"Ah? Then so we eat canned food again every meal?" Bai Yi Mo said dejectedly.

"Not canned food. I already prepare in advance, but still depends on your gege and er jiejie." Bai Yi Yang smile.

"I can do all of these. Jie, don't worry." Bai Yi Ling said as she look at the notes on the fridge.

"We won't eat canned food. The two of you is always like this when it comes to food." Bai Yi Chen also enter the kitchen.

"Ge, when the delivery arrived tomorrow, you arrange it the way I always do." Bai Yi Yang said. She is talking about the delivery from G Supermarket every Monday. She doesn't have to remind the delivery again nowadays because they always send it at 5.00 pm every Monday. They are used to delivering to this house every week.

"Okay." Bai Yi Chen said.

"Wait for a while. I will go wash up." Bai Yi Yang said as she head to the Main house to take a bath. Her siblings also set up the table as they wait for her. The dishes is still steaming hot so when she return to the kitchen with towel wrapped around her head, the temperature is just nice.

Their dinner is longer than usual because there are a lot of dish. The kids favourite is the lion's head meatball, steamed egg and char siu. Basically, they just love meat.

"Can we eat this for breakfast tomorrow jie?" Bai Yi Fang ask.

"Cannot. If you want to eat it, it it during dinner. Ask your er jiejie to fry some meatballs." Bai Yi Yang said.

"Okay." Bai Yi Fang grinned.

'I also want meatballs.' TongTong look up from its plate.

'Okay, you tell me and I will text Xiao Ling to make the things you want to eat.' Bai Yi Yang said.

'Can't I really follow you?' TongTong ask.

'This time cannot. I will be sharing room with other people.' Bai Yi Yang said.

There are two rooms allocated for each team, so the male and female will separate into this two rooms. Their team is not big, only 5 people including Sir Austin, so they only got to share two 2 people bedroom. How can she sneak TongTong in?

After dinner, Bai Yi Yang prepare things for tomorrow. Water and snacks for her siblings. Then, she returned to the Main house, took a 24" luggage and start packing up her stuff. She also have an extra bag where she store her laptop and her backpack.

The R&D team chat room is quite active, the female teacher of them is very enthusiastic about this trip, even though she didn't follow this time, she already prepare a lot of things for the team, other than their school uniform which they need to bring themselves, she prepared formal wear for them, then T-shirt which was printed last minute with their school logo and some other necessities. Tomorrow, the teacher will send them together to the airport with the school's bus, she already brief them about this matter. Bai Yi Yang only read for a bit and after making sure there is nothing important, she proceed to check her stuff again.

When she is done, she sit and chat with her siblings. Told them to behave well and not cause trouble for Bai Yi Ling and Bai Yi Chen, then take care of the pets well. She also draw the weather forecast on the calendar for the whole week.

"Wait I will go make a quick call." Bai Yi Yang suddenly remember something. Tuesday is the 15th, she can only sell the Matsutake mushrooms on Saturday so she need to call Boss Sun. After explaining to them did she bring her siblings to sleep, tomorrow she is waking up earlier, she need to tie her luggage to her bicycle later and so on. It's really a bit difficult when you don't have a proper transportation, an idea suddenly bloom in her head, but she will think about it again later when she returns.
