Sports Festival: Start Of Matches

The remaining 16 students were called to the now cleared platform that didn't have any sort of obstacle or hill, just a plain wide platform where the students go at each other's throats evenly.

Midnight once again ordered the massive screen and the student's names were randomized once again, showing the brackets in which order the students will fight in.

Though it was rather evident that U.A. staff personnel decided to not randomize the brackets, but instead placed strong students against weaker ones. They probably didn't want a head-on collision right off the bat.

[THE MATCHUPS ARE NOW DONE, FOLK!]

Once their opponents were shown, some paled when they saw who their opponents were, mainly the ones going against Himiko or Kaga. Others had already seen their prowess which is why they are already cursing their luck.

Some didn't outrightly know their opponents, mainly Bakugo who literally stated out loud that he didn't know this Honenzuki guy. This was somewhat offensive to the latter, but he didn't say anything in retaliation.

The majority of the players began introducing themselves to those that didn't know each other, mainly for those who were matched up against Class 1-B students.

[The tournament will be put on hold for a moment, and let's enjoy some recreational activities!]

A few recreational games went on for those that were eliminated early on in the tournament. The school even hired cheerleaders from America to perform, which only excited the male audience.

Participants for the tourney went on to do their own way to cope with their excitement, anxiety, or to simply pass the time.

Meanwhile, Cementos began filling up the entire arena with cement and began manipulating it to form a proper stage for the students to fight in. It was quick to finish, truly outstanding.

Soon enough, the ringing of the tournament sounded off like War Hron, signaling the start of an event.

*RINGGGGGGGGGGG~!*

"ARE YOU READY!?", Present Mic roared from his commentator's seat which got a thunderous cheer from the audience.

"YEAHHHHH!"

"WELL, THEN! LET'S GET THIS SHOW ON THE ROAD!"

"A STAGE MADE TO BRAWL, YOUR ONLY TEAMMATE IS YOU!"

"IN HERE EVERYTHING WILL BE TESTED, BODY, SOUL, MIND, AND SKILLS!"

"SO EVERYBODY!"

"STAND UP AND WELCOME OUR FIRST MATCH OF THE DAY!"

*CHEERS~!*

"ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE RING, WE HAVE JAPAN'S VERY OWN INARI OF THE 'FROZEN' LEGENDS, DEPARTMENT OF HEROICS, KAGA ASAKURA!"

"WOAHHHHHH~!", the crowd went wild the moment Kaga was announced to the stage, Kaga smirked upon hearing her introduction. 'Inari? I might use that'

"VERSUS!"

"ON THE RIGHT SIDE, WE HAVE OUR VERY OWN RACER OF THE STREETS WHO HAS BEEN RUNNING PAST EVERY OPPONENT, DEPARTMENT OF HEROICS, TENYA IIDA!"

*CHEER~!*

The two then stood in the middle after they were introduced to the roaring crowd.

"The rules are simple, you win by bringing your opponent out of bounds, rendering them unable to move, or making them surrender!", Present Mic announced.

"Feel free to bleed since we have our sweet Grandma in the house, Recovery Girl! Just don't endanger the lives of your fellow opponent or that'll be instantly disqualified!"

The two shook hands as they heard that, and they took several steps back as a sign that they are ready.

"Asakura-san, I hope you don't hold back, even if you are far stronger than me. I have to thank you for the excellent training advice, I can now enter my Recipro Burst far longer, thank you!", Iida said as he got into his fighting stance.

"GET READY!"

"I'm glad you took the advice, Iida-san", Kaga said and went into a basic renewal stance and made frozen gauntlets along with armoring her tails.

"ANDDDD..."

The mood instantly changed within the stage, all seriousness was through the roof and no amount of games were present.

Kaga was never foolish enough to underestimate anyone even if she knew they were weaker than her, arrogance has no place in a fight.

In a world of quirks where a single touch can erase you from existence, being arrogant is not allowed, Kaga wasn't a God, she was still killable.

"STARRRRRRRRT!"

"RECIPRO BURST!", right off the bat, Iida went to use his super move. Blue jets of flame burst out from his elbow and calf engines, showing the force behind it.

[Hey now! Tenya Iida seems to have chosen to end everything early by going full speed! Look at those flames!], Present Mic said stunned at the fast development of the fight.

[It is an illogical decision to put all your hopes into one attack without testing the waters, but it seems the pressure in going against a Top Student is no joke for these students], Aizawa commentated.

Iida's posture was one like that of a race track runner mixed with a ninja running stance that had his arms on his back, though this seems to work great as the aerodynamic of things ran smooth.

Kaga on the other hand didn't do anything and just stood there and conjured out a massive hammer that was bigger than her body.

Kaga immediately smacked the hammer down with a force that cracked the entire surface of the stage, the impact was felt within the audience!

*CRACK!*

Due to the cracked surfaces, Iida wasn't able to keep his form and stumbled and rolled harshly within the cracked surfaces of the stage.

[TENYA IIDA HAS LOST HIS FOOTING FROM THAT MASSIVE STRIKE!]

Kaga seeing that Iida had no control of how he crashed was now heading towards her like a sack of potatoes while still ejecting flames from his engines.

Not wanting to hurt her fellow student when it is not needed, Kaga simply released a flood of ice that trapped Iida in place.

[AND IT SEEMS TENYA IIDA IS NOW TRAPPED! CAN HE STILL ESCAPE!?]

[He might have been able to break the ice if he had a running start, but he simply does not have the raw strength to power through and break his bindings]

Midnight seeing that Iida was unable to move anymore cracked her and declared Asakura as the winner.

"Iida, unable to move! Asakura advances to the next round!", Midnight said.

The crowd was rather stunned about how everything happened so quickly, one moment Iida was moving at insane speeds, but suddenly Asakura came in and smacked the floor with a massive ice hammer which caused Iida to stumble greatly and it resulted in his loss.

Kaga dispels the ice around Iida and offered a hand which Iida gladly accepted, the two walked to the middle and bowed before each other as a sign of respect and tradition.

*Clap~!*

[Haha! What an amazing opener to start the tournament even if it was short! So, clap your hands in applause, they fought well!]

As the two began walking off the stage, Kaga with her excellent hearing could hear people commenting about the match.

"Man, that was too quick! But her quirk is just too strong!"

"Damn! I lost the bet, I was betting in the engine dude to at least land one hit!"

"Their quirks are truly meant for the Pros!"

Well...the comments were basically people praising them, surprise to say not many people minded how quick the match was.

Kaga then simply hurried her pace so that she can finally rest in the waiting room assigned to her, with her status she was personally assigned a private waiting room, she gladly accepted it when she found out.

Going inside, she found Shoto waiting inside and they both shared a warm hug, "That was quick, you could have given Iida a few seconds of fame" Shoto said as he placed Kaga on his lap.

"My next match then, I predict Bakugo will win, so...I'll have fun toying with him then~", Kaga said playfully as she leaned her head back only to now just gawk at Shoto's lips.

"What?", Shoto asked curiously as he looked at Kaga who was staring at him intently.

Kaga didn't say anything and just closed her eyes and leaned closer, when Shoto saw this he wasn't dense enough to not know what his loveable fox wanted.

The two were now giving light pecks to each other, but it was slowly turning into a make-out session.

Soon enough, the two were intertwining their tongues with each other while Shoto's hands roamed Kaga's body freely, having a firm grasp on Kaga's two soft rabbits.

"Mhmp~"

"Mua~!"

Kaga let go of the kiss when the stimuli were too much to bear, "S-Shoto, I don't think we should go further than this", Kaga said in bated breath.

"Fine, I will settle for a cuddle, is that okay?"

"I-it's okay, but a few k-kisses are fine too", Kaga said meekly as she leaned her entire being on Shoto's chest to rest while Shoto's arms were on top of her belly, hugging her tightly as they watched the ongoing fight between Bakugo and Honenuki through the TV screen built inside of the room.

On the stage, it was a fight between a hammer and a mole, Bakugo's skill set in the fight is to blast his opponents off with sheer force and power.

However, his current plan was failing since Honenuki's quirk made the entire dueling stage soft like liquid, allowing Honenuki to swim beneath the surface and effectively avoiding all of the shockwaves that are created due to Bakugo's attacks.

[Bakugo seems to be in a pinch! He's constantly blasting himself off into the air but still ends up back into the quicksand-like ground! I guess he can't find Honenuki due to his quirk [Softening]!]

Present Mic was commentating greatly as he watched the match, however, Aizawa who was only dragged to the booth was analyzing his students...seeing where they can improve on.

And so far, all Aizawa can see is that their patience is lacking, Iida who rushed and fired off his finishing move from the start, and now we have Bakugo who was frantically looking around and blasting from all directions.

But due to Bakugo's struggle he figured out in advance that he was lacking piercing power, probably he noticed that his explosions were just spreading around the semi-liquid floor.

This led to Bakugo creating his AP Shot ahead of time, and the moment when a small buldge started to appear on the surface, he immediately shot it.

[Such quick thinking for our crazy neighborhood explosive madman!]

Honenuki was immediately blasted out of his hiding and was instantly knocked out due to the pain and the location where the shot landed.

Midnight seeing this immediately declared Bakugo as the winner due to his opponent passing out, the crowd cheered since they got to see more action this time around.
