Chapter 98: Date With Ankusha
(Morax: POV)
Opening my bedroom window I took in a deep breathe and then exhaled.
A smile on my face as I did so.
"What a wonderful day it is." I said.
Especially since it's finally the day I will go on my date with Shakti.
After years of waiting for this fruit to ripen I will finally be able to taste it.
I can't wait.
Humming a tune I showered and then dressed in some casual clothing.
Afterwards I headed downstairs, where breakfast was already on the table.

Sitting down I grabbed a plate, ignoring Millhiore and Diluc who were feeding each other with hearts in their hearts.
It's been a week since they officially became a couple.
"Morning Morax." Ryner said.
"Morning my friend." I said.
I then made small talk and finished up my breakfast in no time.
Once I did I said my goodbyes and headed out to pick up Shakti for our date.
Ignoring the looks I got skipping through the streets I soon arrived outside the Ganesha familia home.
In doing so I happened to meet Ilta Farna.
An Amazon and the vice-captain of the Ganesha familia.
"Morning Ilta." I said.
"Morning Morax." She said.
We know each other well since we've worked and trained together many times over the years.
"Congratulations." She told me.
"Oh, for what?" I asked.
"For finally convincing big sister Shakti to go on a date with you." She explained. "Thanks for making me so much money."
"What?" I questioned.
After I did so Ilta explained to me members of the Ganesha familia had a running betting pool on whether I would continue to pursue Shakti or eventually give up on her due to her constants refusal of my advances. The odds were 10:1 I would eventually give up.
But now all those people who get against me are crying due to the loss of their money.
The moment Ilta finished explaining things I put a wry smile on my face and shook my head. "Wow. What would Shakti say if she knew you guys were betting on her love life I wonder?"
"I mean she sort of already know so..."
"Right." I said.
Just as I did so I saw Ardi coming out of the Ganesha familia home. Dragging her sister right beside her.
But unlike usual Shakti is dresses in casual clothing.
A cream-colored skirt that stops just above her knees, paired with a long-sleeve black top and dark brown boots that stop just below her knees.
Nice.
I burned the image into my brain.
Stopping in front of me Ardi presented her sister like some sort of model. "Here you are Morax. Your date for the day, my lovely sister." She explained.
"Ardi, enough." Shakti spoke. "First you force me to dress like this and now presenting like I'm some sort of prize."
"Oh but Shakti you are a prize." I said. "And one I am glad I have won."
The moment I said this Shakti got a blush on her face.
'Score one for me.' I thought.
"Well then, let's be on our way." I said.
I then grabbed Shaktis' hand and started leading her away.
But as soon as I did so Ardi started shouting embarrassing things.
"Bye sis. Good luck on your date! Also, no need to come home tonight if you get my meaning!"
Which caused Shakti to get a deep blush on her face.
Meanwhile I just gave my wingwoman a thumbs up.

(3rd Person: POV)
As Morax led Shakti away from the Ganesha familia home a group of eyes were following him and his date.
Ones that didn't look happy in the slightest as they observed the situation.

(Morax: POV)
After leaving the area of the Ganesha familia home the blush on Shaktis' face finally receded.
She then put back on her usual stoic expression.
Even with all the eyes on us and comments being spoken.
"Hey is that Ankusha?"
"Yeah."
"Looks like she's on a date. And with a kid no less. Fuck!"
"Quiet man. That's not just any kid, but Alcyoneus. The level five captain of the Athena familia."
"Shit!"
Ignoring the peanut gallery I continued guiding Shakti to our first destination.
A crepe stand.
Reaching the front I placed our orders.
Lemon for me and blueberry for her.
Receiving the snacks I guided Shakti over to a nearby bench and handed her the blueberry crepe.
Taking a bite out of it her eyes widened in shock.
Meanwhile I simply ate my own crepe, a smirk on my face.
"You like?" I asked.
"You already know the answer to that." Shakti retorted. "Also, when did you learn blueberry is my favorite?"
"I've been preparing for this day for ages so of course I did my due diligence and research." I explained. "I asked your sister."
"Of course." Shakti mused.
Giving me a smile she continued to eat her crepe and I did the same. Until eventually we both finished.
As we did so I noticed cream on Shakti's face. So I took my thumb and wiped it off, licking it up with my tongue after I did so.
When I did so Shakti gave me a pointed look.
"You had some cream leftover on your face so I cleaned it up for you." I explained.
"To do something like that. You have no shame huh."
"No I do. Just not much." I retorted. "Now then, onward." I said.
Shakti and I then stood up and headed to our next stop.
A bookstore.
Since like me she enjoys to read.
As we browsed the numerous shelves together Shakti ended up showing me exactly what genre she liked the most.
Which turns out to be murder-mystery and fantasy adventure books.
She really is a girl after my own heart.
We continued looking through the store for a while before leaving.
Once we did we simply walked around Orario enjoying each other's company.
Different from when we patrolled the city we were able to leisurely take in all the sights and sounds.
Eventually though I decided to bring the date to an end and escort Shakti home.
After we arrived in front of the Ganesha familia home she turned to me and raised a brow.
"You brought me home. I would've thought you would have taken me back to your house and ravished my body all night."
"Believe me, I want to. But we will have plenty of time for that on the second date." explained.
"Oh, so you think you are getting a second date hm?"
"Am I not?" I questioned.
But Shakti didn't answer.
Instead she placed her hands on the side of my face and gave me a kiss.
She then smirked at me before heading into her familia home.
I'll take that as a yes on the second date.' I thought.
Putting a smile on my face I headed home.
Humming a tune I skipped once again down the roads without a care.
But I immediately stopped in my tracks when a man appeared in front of me.
His gaze filled with bloodlust.
"Oh, and what can I do for you?" I asked him.
"You can stay away from our captain you brat." The man spat.
Right after he did so six more people surrounded me from all sides.
From what the first guy said these guys are from the Ganesha familia.
So it looks like it's time to deal with my first haters.
Fine then.
They can bring it on.
