While trying to absorb all of the positive energy from my surroundings, I felt my force being disrupted by some annoying force.
"That's right!"
Homework. I knew it! Something that will ruin my day would arise. Looking up the time on my wristwatch I noticed I could still finish it if I copy some of it from someone. Better hurry then. After a couple of minutes of running, The school was in view.
I reached my classroom and I could see that almost half of the class was filled. For a second I forgot about the homework and wondered how it is possible that so many people can wake up early in the morning? I have so much trouble waking up early and here almost half of the class is inside.
"... I don't have time for this." I looked around to see if I could copy my work... I placed my bag at my desk and went directly to the topper of the class. Always ask the class topper for anything related to study.
"Did you come by car today?"
"No why?"
"I guessed. Since there were some cars around the school. And since your used to come by car I assumed it."
"Nah, it's not me."
Ignoring the chattering in the classroom I went to Tim.
"Hey, Tim, can I ask you something?" Tim is our class topper.
"Yeah, sure," he replied.
"I forgot to do the homework and I know this is silly of me but can I ask you to share your homework with me please."
"I don't know..." He replied half-heartedly.
"But Tim, besides you I don't know whether the work of others is correct or wrong. I can only believe that your work can be fully trusted."
"Umm... Since you want it that badly I guess I can give you but don't copy it line to line, change it in between so that the teacher doesn't find out that you copied mine." He replied while rubbing his too prideful pointy nose. If he wasn't the one sharing his copy I wouldn't even consider looking at this person. He is too overbearing for me.
"Yeah. Even I won't do something idiotic like that." see the trick with egoistic people is to praise them a little and compare them with the whole. Also most important is to maintain a neutral relationship with them because you don't know when and where you need them.
"No time to waste now. Let's hurry."
"Hey Allen, what are you doing?" A pair of black shoes slapped against my desk while a condescending voice spoke to me.
"What do you want Liz?" I asked her very gently.
"Nothing, I just wanted to talk to you." Huh? Liz, see for yourself. I am sweating buckets while my desk is filled with nothing but textbooks. Does it not show or give any slightest bit of hint that I might be doing something important?
"Liz, can we talk later? I have to do some work right now?" Well, nothing going to come out good if I were to get angry, the first thing in the morning.
"Wh-" as she was about to say something-
"Hey Liz, someone is here to talk to you." someone called her.
*Phew*
Thank that person.
*DING-DONG! FIRST PERIOD*
Here goes my little bit of hope. At least I still have some time before the submission. Let's be Mr. Half Glass Full.
