Chapter 7: It's Hero Time!

I appeared back in the toilet shortly and then returned to my accommodation where the rest of the team was resting. I put my head to my pillow and slept soundly as I kept my seventh fang on passively.

The next morning, I and the team visited Choza sensei and we brought him fruits and flowers and conversed with him somewhat as I told him that the mission was a success at the cost of one Genin, Might Dai. His face grimaced once I said that. I pulled them out of it though as I described that the Third Mizukage gave me the same vibes as the third Hokage, they're all creepy old men. They all laughed at that and so we left sensei to his rest. Guy and Genma decided to go shopping, however, I had better things to be thinking about.

Returning to the accommodation, I thought about how the seven swordsmen were even able to intercept us. Goddamnit. Of course, I doubt that the Hokage or the Mizukage would put us on a suicide mission, hence that leaves either Danzo or another hidden village tipped them off. The more dangerous answer would be Danzo, the other hidden villages wouldn't care to bother our little team after this, however, if Danzo was involved he probably wanted to capture us as genins. This is backed up by how I remember the swordsmen only seemed to present killing intent to sensei...

Fuck! It had to be that geezer Danzo. As soon as we get back I'm only going to send Clones on missions, It's too dangerous to go by myself, I can't stay in the village for too much longer or else something bad is going to happen. I'll stay for another year until I'm sent to the battlefield, I'll kill for a while before I escape and aim for the land of iron. I need to learn their Iaido and other techniques which would be useful. Danzo probably won't try anything in the village, however, once we're on the battlefield - He will go all-in to capture the perfect specimens for his little suicide squad.

I worked out another plan before I went and practised some taijutsu techniques, I felt like I could finally open the second gate after a while. I went back to the accommodation and slept for a while longer.

Choza sensei had fully healed in the next two weeks and we are currently on our way back to Konoha.

"How did you find your time in Kiri then?" Choza asked us, trying to break some ice.

Guy was the first to answer and he seemed slightly irked, "They have no sense of YOUTH! they all seem really sad, where is their Passion! Their Ambition! Their Strength! But the food was really good"

Genma nodded before replying shortly, "It was good, but I agree, they all seem really depressed but it's understandable" Genma always seemed to have a smart head on his shoulders, I concluded,

"I agree with the other two, their food was the best aspect."

'They were all just like annoying flies with their sensor's after I disappeared that one time to get the seven swordsmen's chakra.' I thought. After that, I also started wearing a glove to hide the Rip-Off Tattoo mark.

Choza nodded and we continued on till we reached Konoha. I realised at this time, that sensei was not trustworthy. Even though he likes us, that doesn't stop him from reporting to the Hokage truthfully and from that - it puts me at risk of any machinations by Danzo. Hence...

My Sensei has indirectly placed himself in the position of an enemy faction. my eyes flickered with a cold light for a second before focusing on our trip again.

I walked out of the Hokage's office after we all reported about the success of our missions. As it was a C-Rank Jutsu, I asked for the Shadow Clone Jutsu as a Ninja could request a jutsu up to 1 rank above his. As we completed a C-rank mission, I could request a B-Rank Jutsu and so I picked that.

After all, it was way too much Hax for one to not be tempted and I would rather not spend CP on it.

Hiruzen nodded thoughtfully as we all walked out,

"What do you think of him Danzo?" He stated thoughtfully, "He seems like a good seed for your ROOT operations."

Danzo nodded thoughtfully, 'Well, we have only a year left until the war and by then it would be much easier to mass recruit various operatives into ROOT'

I used Mind's Eye and it seemed as if Hiruzen and Danzo were having a conversation. Most likely about our performance.

'tut-tut tut' I sighed, 'Danzo, you signed your own death warrant, I will not let you get Izanagi, blame only yourself for placing your sights on me'

THE TERRIFIC TIME SKIP STRIKES AGAIN!

It had been a year since I started training with Shadow Clones and the most visible effect is that I had maxed out a lot of masteries. Danzo had also been quite active recently as I noticed more kids left missing around the poorer areas. I also noticed my team seemed to have gotten closer. Especially me and Guy. He was much smarter than he seemed in the anime. Obviously, I was still wary of Choza sensei and Genma was still rather interesting.

I checked my Stats page again,

I was in the training grounds again, however, I was in the forest. I smiled as I checked my stats again. Slowly, my arms turned purple with nozzles starting to form on my head, arms and one on his back and another towards my tailbone. A black mask formed slowly to cover my mouth. My stomach started feeling more hollow and I realised it had turned transparent and started showing gas.

"Gut Rot!" I yelled, "Damn this feels weird"

I had grown to 6 feet and was now the definition of chemical warfare. I picked this alien as a transformation from Ben 10. I remembered from the original show that Gutrot's innards contained various gaseous elements, making him a walking military-grade chemistry lab.

Gutrot can make compounds of almost any type and expel them as gas from the various nozzles on his body for both offence and defence. The strength of those gases depended on the amount expelled and their chemical makeup. This would help with my Combustion Release as well.

Technically speaking, Gutrot could generate just about any kind of chemical gas imaginable...

Due to its chemical abilities, I concluded it would be the most needed alien in the upcoming war. Especially with figures like Chiyo and Sasori being on the battlefield. This will grant me complete immunity when in a partial or fully transformed state as my nozzles simply take in the gas or liquid poison and recycle it. One different thing, however, was the fact that I could feel chakra was also an available resource in my stomach...

I stretched my arms out and suddenly an influx of chemical knowledge assaulted my mind. I started piecing together different formulas and after a while, I had a conclusion. I could make some sort of Magic Plant Grower Shit!

Pshhtttt. A large green gas was expelled from the nozzles on Raiden's body and dissipated into the surroundings. within a couple of minutes of waiting, the plants started overgrowing as vines and moss climbed up large oaks. Additionally, the large trees themselves had grown to unimaginable heights.

'I'm a walking talking, assassin chemistry lab' Raiden blurted mentally before returning back into his base form (calling his human form base form now). He dashed through the disordered trees before anyone could observe him and hurried back towards his house. He sighed in relief as he approached an unpleasant street in an unnoticeable part of Konoha's streets.

A few minutes after he had left, space flickered before a yellow-haired man wearing a green jacket approached the space he was just standing on,

"Hmm, interesting...How did someone even achieve this? They used chakra to grow the forest but with what jutsu? I have to report this to the third" he whispered in thought to himself before flickering away.

Minato had just finished his report at the Hokage's office and he noticed that even the Anbu had gobsmacked expressions on their faces...

"Minato if what you're saying is true, do you think that someone has awakened...the first Hokage's Mokuton?" Hiruzen stated with a determined expression on his face.

Minato shook his head before replying, "There was also a slightly medicinal scent in the surroundings, I think it's more likely someone was testing a form of medical ninjutsu with a focus on the growth of plants"

Hiruzen nodded his head and the Anbu also calmed down,

"I agree with you but we still need to take other possibilities into account" He stated, "dismissed"

Minato walked out and returned to his daily duties before Hiruzen's eye's narrowed and he turned to a certain shadowy part of the office,

"Danzo, did this have anything to do with you?"

"Hiruzen, my ROOT ops model absolute stealth, I assure you this was definitely not us" a voice replied, Hiruzen closed his eyes. Today was going to be a long day.

A few days passed and rumours of the second coming of Mokuton had started being talked about.

'Sigh am I ever going to get a break' thought an empty-stomached Raiden.
