Chapter 11. Misunderstanding

"Uncle"

Andika ran to Amurwa, a handsome man in a white T-shirt who was stirring horse food on Mr. Kusuma's family farm behind the mansion. Amurwa looked at the little boy who was running towards him while clapping his hands together, cleaning his dirty hands from the grass clippings he had just put in the bucket.

"What's the matter, honey? Is Mama mad again?"

Andika shook his head. He held out a new toy he got from his father who had just returned from a trip abroad. Amurwa looked at the toy that was in the young master's tiny hands that always accompanied him throughout the day. He reached out his hand to grab the toy and carefully asked Andika to get out of his place to the gazebo next to the cage.

"Do you like this toy?"

Andika shook his head and then approached Amurwa and clung to the chest of the man he played with every day.

"No, Uncle. I prefer shooting with you here. Ride a horse and play with Jeremy." Amurva nodded. He affectionately kisses the employer's child who is now in his lap. He lifted Andika's body and put the expensive toy that Andika had just shown in the gazebo and lifted the little boy's body into the cage.

"Now You help me to stir Jeremy and Cintya's food. Let them grow up quickly. There is a colt in Cintya's stomach, you know Young Master."

"Wow, really? Then tomorrow I can have one more horse and I hope it's as handsome as you, Uncle."

Amurwa was stunned to hear Andika's statement saying that he was handsome while Andika looked at Amurwa with sparkling eyes. He feels happy and proud of the handsome man who always faithfully accompanies him. All this time, wherever he was, Amurwa was the only servant who accompanied him.

"Am I handsome?"

"Of course, Uncle. If I may say, Uncle is more handsome than Papi."

"Ha ha ha, you are nothing, Young Master. How can there be. A poor man like me is more handsome than Papi. Papi is a super rich person who can have everything."

With a big smile, Andika took the wood that Amurwa used to stir the food for Mr. Kusuma's two favorite horses. A fun activity that Andika rarely misses every day. They didn't realize that from inside the mansion, a pair of beautiful eyes were watching the intimacy of two men of different ages with teary eyes.

"If only my husband could be a little more gentle with Andika, I would be very happy," murmured the owner of the beautiful eyes while continuing to smile watching their activities. She wanted to come closer and join Andika but she was afraid the servants would tell her husband. She decided to stay where she was and take a peek at the activities of the boy and his servants in the back garden.

"Uncle"

"Yes, Young Master."

Amurwa, who was putting grass into the second bucket, turned around. Watching Andika who is now walking while carrying wood towards him.

"What's the matter, Young Master? Have you finished stirring it?"

"Um, don't you want to have your own horse? If You want, I can tell Papi so that He can buy a horse for you and we can play outside."

Amurwa stopped what he was doing and approached Andika who was still busy stirring Jeremi and Cintya's food.

"I won't ask for anything from Master because Master has allowed me to train Jeremy and Cintya. Just looking after them is like owning a horse, you know?."

"But it's more fun if you have your own, Uncle. You can be free anywhere."

Amurwa is silent. He indeed confirmed everything that was said by Andika, but he realized that he could not have time to look after his own horse because his activities were purely caring for the horses in his master's stable all this time.

Andika who saw Amurwa just silent, finally approached. He patiently waited for Amurwa to pour the water in the second bucket.

"I want to stir with you, Uncle. If it's like this alone, it must be heavy, right? It's light together. I like it."

Amurwa nodded his head. He gave Andika a place to do all he wanted. After the food was ready, Amurwa lifted the buckets one by one and handed them to Jeremy and Cintya. He gently stroked the heads of both animals that were like his brothers.

"I want to pet Jeremy and Cintya's head too, Uncle."

Without saying much, Amurwa lifted Andika's body and helped him to reach the horse's head which was still enjoying its food. The horse that had the attention of the both of men of different ages feeding it was now wagging its head, as if it knew they were paying attention.

Satisfied with his activities, Amurwa lifted Andika back into the gazebo and sat down looking for something.

"How many arrows are Uncle's left?"

Amurwa kept quiet trying to remember the arrows he kept in the house he lived next to the gazebo.

"Twelve, if I'm not mistaken, young master. What is wrong? Does Young Master want to shoot?"

Andika nodded. He really wanted to emulate the style of Amurwa who always spent time shooting and training Jeremy and Cintya at Mr. Kusuma's shooting range. A field that is used to train some bodyguards.

"Is it okay Uncle?"

"I will only teach You if Papi allows it. Otherwise, how dare Uncle, ordinary servant who has no authority to allow or deny dear. Uncle is just an Young Master's wishes,"

"Ah, it's always like that. I'm tired of hearing you always humble yourself like that."

"Ha ha ha, not condescending. I know myself."

Slap

Amurwa hit his hand on Andika's arm, making the young man embrace Andika's tiny body with excitement. Andika who received sweet treatment from Amurwa tightened his arms while hiding his head in Amurwa's chest. He missed his father's love so he felt very happy when an adult man hugged and kissed him lovingly.

"Do you want to be my Papa, Uncle?"

Amurwa was stunned to hear Andika's question. Being Papa's Andika is the same as being the husband of a big lady in the Kusuma family while their position is like heaven and earth which will not be able to unite even if the sun appears at its setting.

"Don't ask questions like that, Young Master. I can't. How dare I take the place of Master Kusuma. Besides, even if there is a chance, I am sure that Mommy won't want to have a husband like me either. Don't ever ask questions like that again."

Andika pouted. He is really annoyed with Amurwa who doesn't want to fulfill all his wishes. He was silent and then tried to free himself from Amurwa's arms. Andika quickly ran from Amurwa to the mansion crying looking for her mother.

"Mommy"

Padmasari, who was stunned to see Andika's spontaneous reaction, was taken aback. He immediately came out of hiding and walked towards Andika, who was being chased by Amurwa.

"What happened, honey?"

Padmasari looked at Amurwa who was standing looking at her, then looked down.

"Uncle Amurwa, Mommy."

"Why honey?"

"Uncle doesn't want to be my Papa."
