Cooked

The moment she heard Ja Sun's affirmation, six blue silver emperors grew out of the stage, their fibers spiraled and turned into vines that coiled around the feet of the six clear sky members aside from the one facing against Bibi Dong.

The attack was a sudden one since nobody would have thought of a vine, a tough one at that, growing under their foot. It is to be noted that Blue Silver Emperor is a variant attained by blades of blue silver grass after growing to the level of 100000 years. However, with the natural ability of her domain to grow blue silver variants of a 'king' level quality that could be attained at a 10000-year level, the added ability from Ah Yin's fifth spirit ring— Enrichment, propelled their evolution.

However, these vines only held the quality of the Blue Silver Emperor and not its strength. Ja Sun observed everything clearly. The three individuals attacking him instantly lost their footing but it was only for a moment. Surprisingly, the three revealed strange calmness as they twisted their waists instantly and the hammers aimed at Ja Sun again. With a pleased expression, Ja Sun retreated while his glance fell on the two spirit masters that stacked their disorder splitting wind hammer. Their hammers collided against each other. What should have been a disastrous attack turned to be...

'Clear Sky Nine Absolutes: Absorb!'

The two gave low shout internally in tandem and the moment their hammers struck each other's, there was no sound of the collision. Instead, both of their bodies spiraled in opposite direction. Blood seeped out from the corner of their mouths but they looked relatively uninjured.

'So... they can even let the shock pass through their hammers and add it to their strength... but there seems to be a limit of how much they can absorb,' Ja Sun thought internally and looked at Bibi Dong. This plan would have worked on others but the Clear Sky Clan is trained to balance their bodies in any manner possible.

"Cheap tricks! What happened? Already afraid?" Tang Min growled and Ja Sun snickered before rushing back.

Seeing this, Bibi Dong rushed back, too. Their actions stunned everyone as they instantly entered the dome created by Ah Yin.

"... what?" Veins bulged on Tang Min's forehead as he growled, "Coward! Come out!"

But the only thing that replied to him was silence.

---

"What... are they doing?" Lin Min inquired in dissatisfaction. She had been rather manhandled by the team, especially Ja Sun so seeing them hide left a bitter taste in her mouth.

"Calm your heart, Min," Chen Xin spoke calmly as he looked at his disciple. "Although you were infected by Bibi Dong's poison, you were still brash who failed to wield the sheer enhancement brought by so many treasure glazed pagoda in a more optimized manner."

Hearing Chen Xin's stern words, Lin Min couldn't help but lower her head.

"Uncle Sword, you're being too harsh," Ning Fengzhi chuckled, "And it was Ka-ul's brashness that made them win in the first place."

"How can you still laugh?" Lin Min frowned, "It was because of me that we lost 5 important spirit bones."

"Yes, but we made a bet to win the spirit bones in Ka-ul's hands, didn't we? Not to mention the fact that despite its rarity, our clan acquires a spirit bone every two years as long as we conduct a great sweep of the forest under our control using the treasures we have to enhance the ability of our martial souls."

But despite the calm facade, Chen Xin could feel the sense of loss within Ning Fengzhi. Finally, he looked towards the stage again, his eyes narrowed. The fact that various blue silver vines would emerge from under someone else so precisely and suddenly let Chen Xin come to a slightly dangerous speculation that others felt, too.

Other's reaction to the spirit academy's team hiding inside the dome of vines was similar to Lin Min's. Many felt angry that they lost to a team that would hide. Meanwhile, the audience that came here expecting a great show couldn't help but let out grunts and groans of dissatisfaction and anger.

---

"Get out!"

Tang Min roared. He hammed onto the surface of the dome however it would bend and simply negate most of the shock. Others surrounded the dome and continuously attacked. They used various spirit skills but each time a vine was destroyed, two would rise and protect those within.

"Brother Min, let the two of us do it. We've already reached the 76th stacking force," a shout interrupted Tang Min as the two youth displaying the might of the Disorder Splitting Wind Hammer nodded and began moving. Their movement was slow, as if they bore a tremendous burden on their shoulder. The others tightly clenched the handles of their hammers, waiting for the ones inside the dome to act.

The gales that emerged from the movement of their hammers had already dispersed all the poison, too.

Meanwhile, inside the dome, Ja Sun looked at Ah Yin and inquired, "What's going on?"

"Hmm, they are using the two guys who were waving their hammers from the beginning. I don't think the dome will hold out with the strength they have stacked."

"I see..." Ja Sun bit on the tofu. The interior of the dome was full of tofu stink but they didn't say anything or else Oscar would have been triggered.

"Coordinate with Erlong to aim at one of them and Xie Xan, use the Asura Sight to look through the dome. Tell Ah Yin where you want the defense of the dome weakened and use the chance that Liu Erlong would provide to deal a blow to one of the members around us," Ja Sun licked his lips.

The temperature within the domain instantly rose to a startling degree. Sweat poured out of everyone's body but they endured the heat. Xie Xan's pupils turned crimson and veins bulged on the side of his eyes as he conjured his moon blades. His fifth and sixth spirit ring instantly covered him in Raven's mask and a dark cloak while eight of the moon blades were wrapped by pitch-black yin aura.

"Be sure to not kill or maim them if possible. I don't want any tension between Yuehua and the group," Bibi Dong added.

Although Tang Yuehua made it clear that the result of the match and the injuries borne was a given, there was no need to go overly harsh just for the sake of it. Although Yuehua's value had not grown, everyone in the team knew that it was only until she got her first 10000-year-old ring. After that, she will become one of the strongest support of the group.

Liu Erlong and Xie Xan nodded and completed their preparations. The space between Liu Erlong's horn glowed with her strongest attack while Xie Xan's breathing grew shallower. His gaze now only saw crimson lines throughout and found an individual recovering from a small injury that couldn't have been observed through the naked eye.

{A/N: If it still isn't clear... what Xie Xan has is a blood and spirit variant of a Byakugan through Asura Sight and Blind World.}

"There, point in that direction," Ah Yin whispered and pointed out with her index finger. Liu Erlong nodded and everyone stepped away.

"And I'm going to target her," Xie Xan pointed. Ah Yin nodded. She now controlled the vines from the inside and continued to unravel them until an extremely small layer was only visible from the outside.

"And this is the 81st..." Tang Min mumbled in expectation.

The two youths glared in the direction of the dome and gritted their teeth— "81 hammers into one!"

They roared in sync, black light flickering around them as they waved their arms for the final time. The black light coiled around their arms and then onto the long handle of the hammer as they turned into a lifelike image of a dragon—

*Rrrrnnnnttttt*

With an extremely piercing sound befitting a laser, a ray of pure fire tore through the vines and shot towards the youth on the left. Everyone was stunned by the sudden change and the youth targetted only roared in defiance. His hammer almost reaching completion. The dragon excitedly coiling around almost shot out in the manner of a dangerous shockwave when the light hit the hammer. The slightest change caused his expression to pale and the pillar only moved to the right. The second youth instantly let out the disastrous strike that countered the Horn Obliteration but even then, the sheer energy caused flames and shock to splatter out.

*Puu*

The youth who was struck first vomited large volumes of blood. His body lost all its strength as he fell on the ground— paralyzed by the deviation of his attack.

"Shit!"

A gruff woman's shout echoed and Tang Min paled when eight pitch-black swords suddenly slashed at one of his other teammates.

"Attack!"

Tang Min's eyes reddened. But once again, after the initial attack, the dome was strengthened while the fire from horn obliteration began burning on the stage around the dome.

"Qinnue, take the two of them down!" Tang Min looked at the exhausted youth and while attacking the dome with all his force.

The two members Tang Min referred to were none other than the ones that Xie Xan and Erlong attacked.

Two of their members down at once. Tang Min dared not let his guard down anymore in face of such a venomous team.

"It almost feels like cheating," Oscar mumbled.

"Considering the fact that I cannot supply myself with spirit energy unless I'm in a forest, we have around three more minutes before I will have to lower the consumption of the domain," Ah Yin sighed softly. Each attack would have its intensity absorbed but all of this consumed her spirit energy. In a forest, she was undefeatable but here, even she needed to be careful about her expenditure.

"Three minutes... hmm, the situation really doesn't look good," Ja Sun smiled. He wasn't afraid of getting injured but if he broke his arm or something, he wouldn't be able to display all his limited abilities. He needed to carefully time his own injuries if they should ever strike him and simply try not to get caught in the middle.

"Get! Out!"

"Cowards!"

"Sneak Attack!"

"Pathetic!"

"What a bunch of wastes!"

Shouts and booing filled the stadium but there were many who had grown even more interested due to the timely attack taking out two of Clear Sky Members and this made many question— Why doesn't Ja Sun use his spirit abilities?

Those who were aware of his skills knew how easily he could have won. Just his third skill should be good enough to blind the opponents temporarily and then defeat them yet he didn't. What was the motivation behind such an act?

Many would think that Ja Sun was arrogant. But individuals like Dai Taiyin and Laohu knew that Ja Sun wouldn't demonstrate his skills unless necessary and enough benefits are involved. But... shouldn't the benefit of winning the competition be enough to make him reveal his skills?

The area where Liu Erlong's fire burned began to spread and the frequency of Tang Min's and others' attacks grew greater. This time, none of them tried to use Disorder Splitting Wind Hammer. Although its force is great, it lacks mobility and a greater response to surprise attacks.

Ah Yin's brows were now covered in sweat.

"Alright, Jun'er, it's your turn. There are five opponents out there and I only need a second to get out," Ja Sun looked at the dark-haired girl and smiled.

She nodded and let out a howl that echoed through the dome. Within the dome, six devil dogs were formed out of pure darkness. This ability always made Ja Sun feel a little apprehensive because the dogs made of elements displayed certain elements. In a way, many spirit abilities including his cloning one already reached the threshold of the creation of living beings.

But all things said and done, the existence of the spirit rings were already trippy.

The six devil dogs looked around curiously before settling around Jun'er. Meanwhile, Bibi Dong silently brought her fifth spirit ring.

"Instead of letting the dogs out for sacrifices, I have a better idea," Bibi Dong's gaze twinkled.

She had understood Ja Sun's motivation for the most part.

Due to unknown reasons, he did not want anybody hurt, and no, Bibi Dong didn't think for a single moment that it was out of the goodness of his heart.

"Create a platform under us..." Bibi Dong began and even Ja Sun nodded. It was a good plan that would make the best use of Ah Yin's final moments in the match and take out many opponents directly.

As the members of the clear sky clan attacked on the outside, they suddenly felt the vines unraveling at a quick pace. Like a blooming lotus, the collected strands of vines opened up. The eyes of the remaining five members gleamed when suddenly, dark purple mist began to ooze out.

*Shhhh*

The vines instantly rushed up, bringing seven figures high above while a large volume of purple mist spread out. Wherever it passed, the blue silver vines began to let out sizzling noise.

This wasn't a poisonous smoke but a miasma. Bibi Dong's fifth spirit skill— Miasma Ring.

Tang Min only snorted.

His third ring brightened and he waved his hammer. Along with the wave, the miasma was blown away heavily and the other members had only sidestepped when—

*Aaaaooooooo*

Jun'er howled again. Six dark shadows almost rotten by now shot out from deep within the miasma. Their terrifying appearance startled the five members.

"They're the devil dogs! Attack them," Tang Min ordered and the hammerheads instantly smashed against the dogs, making them whine pitifully.

*Bang*

Surprising everyone was the fact that numerous Bloodsucking Spider Thorns tore out of the dead bodies of the devil dogs before they could dissipate and stabbed into the bodies of the five spirit masters!

Jun'er could only click her tongue reluctantly. But she had lost her pack enough time to grow a bit indifferent to the loss.

'Shock!'

The five members instantly came to the same conclusion. Black rings of light expanded and contracted as all the thorns instantly tilted towards the direction of the hammers before being smashed away.

"Hah, this isn't—" Before Tang Min could look up and roar, he found Liu Erlong already halfway down. Her body encased in bright red flames and his pupils contracted instantly.

"Explosion!" Liu Erlong laughed.

*Bang*

Fire instantly spread out and the shock wave made the five feel a bit unstable. However, as they looked up once again, they found Liu Erlong already dropped out of the stage. The burning vines spread out, lighting almost the entire stage on fire and five strands gently let down Ah Yin, Oscar, Xie Xan, Bibi Dong, and Jun'er out of the stage.

Bibi Dong's idea was more sophisticated but she unintentionally inspired Ja Sun with a way to end this match even quicker.

"You cannot defeat us alone!" Tang Min growled as Ja Sun finally jumped down from the crashing pillar of blue silver vines.

"I don't intend to... in reality, I want everyone here to experience one of my most beautiful memory," Ja Sun laughed.

"You see," Ja Sun sidestepped, avoided a blow from behind, "I was once burned alive. Every part of my flesh cooked. Although I have gotten restraint against ordinary fire... I can't say the same about Liu Erlong's."

He looked around. The fire had already spread to every corner of the stage and the six participants— five opponents and a Ja Sun— now stood in the center.

"How about I share this experience with everyone else?" Ja Sun inquired.

His boots had caught a lick of flame before beginning to burn slowly. With a smile, Ja Sun took his boots off and others instantly sucked in a breath of cold air. His soles were already burning. But the same was true for the five around him. They were now on a fiery stage that would cook them alive if they don't back down quickly.

"You will never win," Tang Min stated coldly.

"One minute... I think one minute should be enough," Ja Sun replied.

---

"Crazy! That boy is crazy!" The Emperor of the Heaven Dou Empire— Xue Ye gasped.

Dai Laohu looked at the young Emperor and sneered. The man didn't know half of it.

Tang Peng's expression was serious at the moment while Tang Hao and Tang Xiao couldn't help but purse their lips.

Ja Sun had once lied about entering a furnace to forge the Vajra Gauntlets to Tang Hao but the man now felt that this is what Ja Sun must be referring to.

The expression of various members of the stadium, especially Yu Shandian and his team, couldn't help but change. They were burned by Liu Erlong's flames but they weren't in a sea of it as Ja Sun and the other members of the Clear Sky Clan members were.

They shivered slightly and their glance towards Liu Erlong turned more dangerous and hateful.

---

"Let me tell you, I will walk out when the flames reach my neck," Ja Sun smiled, "Growing hair from a burned scalp is really hard. But I guess you all need to worry about your testicles... oh, and ovaries," Ja Sun smiled at the sole female member that remained.

"You're bluffing!" Tang Min scowled.

"Am I?" Ja Sun smiled and bent to push his left palm into a small area of flames before he grinned and began walking towards Tang Min's location.

"Come, let's shake hands for the sake of a good match."

As Ja Sun began walking, he didn't mind stepping on other spots of fire barefoot. Everyone around him paled as his clothes began to burn soon enough.

They weren't any better. The flames were ferocious and very trying. Many already wanted to give up but seeing Ja Sun sauntering around, they couldn't help but grit their teeth and stay.

"You can't even attack me easily," Ja Sun added, "The more we move, the quicker the fire will spread. But you're tough, aren't you?" He reached a few steps away from Tang Min before he suddenly shot through the flames like a demon and tackled Tang Min into the greater region of flames behind him.

"S-stop!" Tang Min howled as he raised his hammer when Ja Sun quickly stood up and stomped hardly on Tang Min's face.

"Or what? You'll burn me on a stake? You'll kill me? We're already on that stage!" Ja Sum grinned and continued stomping. Flames soon caught Tang Min's body as Ja Sun snorted and only used his left arm to throw him out.

Tang Min continuously spasmed due to pain and had gone unconscious only after a few seconds. Their tolerance of pain was amazing. Sadly, it wasn't perverted.

Making sure to keep his right arm safe for the most part, Ja Sun stepped out. His thighs were now charred and the muscles of his calves were exposed, too. Such a gory sight instantly made many gag in disgust.

"Four of you... let's see. You would look better cooked. It would really bring out your fragrance," Ja Sun's gaze locked onto the woman and she shivered in fright.

"S-stay- stay away!" She roared.

"Nope," Ja Sun began jogging towards her and she instantly shot through the flames and escaped the stage.

"Just attack him! As long as he's unconscious, you win!" The second elder shouted again. He was aghast by such a tactic but he couldn't do anything himself.

"You're just a coward who uses these tactics!" One of the sweating members hisses and others rushed towards Ja Sun together. With a smile, Ja Sun merely continued to evade. The hammers would elongate at times or would be even thrown but none managed to catch him by surprise. Instead, flames on their bodies grew and they finally howled in pain. Their lower bodies were totally cooked clean along with their future generation. Ja Sun wasn't that worried. Once he gets out of the flames, he will naturally heal due to Ah Yin and his physical core. Not to mention the fact that, unlike last time where the temperature damaged his internal organs, this time, his body still exuded a sense of vitality.

The Crystal Blood Dragon Ginseng simply had divine effects on his body.

"Come on, don't run back!" Ja Sun called out as the remaining trio retreated through the flames. Tears of pain and shame evaporated as they finally escaped the stage.

Even the referee had long left the stage and seeing only Ja Sun hidden inside, he couldn't help but gulp.

"The... Spirit Academy wins!"
