Chapter 169

After spending some time in Zach's room, Chess and Hayden finally bid their goodbyes and headed out together for the University. Hayden, being the chivalrous man that he is, offered Chess a ride.

Chess could still feel a bit of pain on his sides, but it was much more tolerable than last time. At least now, he could finally move around like a perfectly fine man.

He entered Hayden's passenger seat and attached his seatbelt immediately. After driving off, silence ensued between them.

Hayden is a nice guy, but it's not like the two of them are close enough with one another, nor are they familiar with each other. He only came to know Hayden because of Evangel, so he can't really see him as a proper friend.

In result, he didn't know what to say nor how to start a conversation with him. Besides, knowing Hayden's personality, he'll probably be the one to start the conversation if he really wanted to.
