Debriefing

Xiao Moxian was confused to see Wang Jingyuan panic, but he still sent Wuxin to stall the crown prince and Yan Qiufeng.

"Jing-Jing, what's the matter?"

"They can't know that I'm here."

Xiao Moxian raised a quizzical eyebrow. "Why not?"

"They don't know that I know you," Wang Jingyuan hurriedly explained. "Well, Little General Yan does, but he doesn't know that we are close friends. It's…aiya, I'll explain to you later, Moxian. I gotta go."

She took a couple steps towards the door but then backtracked. "It's probably too late to go out now; I'll run into them. Do you have anywhere to hide?"

"Follow me." Xiao Moxian stood and led Wang Jingyuan to the side, where he pointed at the back room that was connected to his study. "You can stay here. I doubt the crown prince or Yan Qiufeng will venture here if they just want to speak with me."

Wang Jingyuan nodded vigorously. "Thanks, Moxian."
