~~~(POV: Nathen Opal)~~~
~~~(Location: The Jedi Temple, Coruscant)~~~

Nella is sleeping like the dead on my back as I carry her. We've been walking through the library for a good 20 minutes now; Satele said the place we're going is a long walk from the entrance we used to get in. There is one thing bothering me.

Eassa poking and prodding me. She's gently pressing on my mind with her own. She wants an explanation of what Satele said earlier. I don't blame her for wanting one.

Being the only one not knowing something in a group you're traveling with can suck. Not that I'd know from experience. Being a loner has its drawbacks and benefits. This is only from what I remember seeing. Growing up on Tython taught me a lot.

There were gangs and cliques back at the temple. Certain Jedi Initiates rolled with each other. I was the proverbial black sheep due to my power. For a long time, I wasn't allowed around the other younglings. In fear, my power would harm them.

I push back on Eassa's probing, and I can feel the frustration building in her. It's not what I'd expect from her, but it's not like I know her as I used to. I'm betting she's gone through he own issues.

The beautiful white and blue striped Twi'lek that is trying to get my attention finally backs off after my little retaliation.

"How much longer until we find what you're looking for?"

Satele stays quiet at my question, and a part of me is wondering if I'll even end up getting an answer from her. She's wanting to find answers about me without me knowing. It's pretty typical of her. I figured she'd still do this, at least.

She's gotten rid of a lot of bad habits from the past, but I don't think she's ever getting rid of always trying to find out more about me.

"We're almost there. It's in an area of the library most Jedi aren't allowed. Only Council members and above may enter. Which means you three won't be able to follow me. If you try, the library won't let me in."

I could just rip the path inside apart and enter. But that won't help me find any answers. I know the truth about me. Satele is better off finding out on her own than having me tell her anything about me.

After a couple more minutes, we reach a door, and a scanner pops out. Scanning Satele and then us. It opens the doors and lets us in. Before long, we come upon another. Satele turns to us and places her hands behind her back.

"I don't know how long I'll be in there, could be a few hours. So, if you want to explore other parts of the temple, feel free."

Before long, another door scans her and lets her in. I head over to an old couch and place Nella on it. Taking a load off in one of the chairs too. Looking up at the ceiling and thinking about everything that's happened.

The whole reason I came to Coruscant is to get a new ship. SCORPIO stole mine, and now I need a new one. I'm not happy all my personal things are gone now.

They'll likely end up in the hands of Valkorian when the time for SCORPIO to find Zakuul happens. She'll have no need to get rid of my ship.

"Will you please tell me what she meant earlier?"

Sigh.

~~~(POV: Satele Shan)~~~
~~~(Location: The Jedi Temple, Coruscant)~~~

I enter the large chamber and head to a section where secrets of Jedi power are kept. I remember Gnost Dural saying something about Jedi figures and history before we started recording our own.

A console pops up in front of me, and I see that it's not been touched in years. I dust it off and start running my fingers across it. Entering the information I want to know about.

[The Mortis Gods]

Some of the reports and files are corrupted. But they'll do.

There aren't many answers given, but the few that are is where I'll start before I go on asking more questions. I open the first Archive of knowledge and start reading.

If only I knew what I was really getting myself into. A lesson I learned well after the fact. It's best to leave the unknown, as it is. For you don't know what you'll find out.
