Yeah! Here's the new chapter!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Look, I know there's great, powerful dark magic in that locket, and I also know it needs to be destroyed," I said to the Kreacher, who lifted his head to look at me in surprise.
"You know?" he asked a little unsure.
"Yes, and I also know how to destroy him" I said, and if before the Kreacher's look was one of surprise, now it turned to one of total shock and disbelief.
"Does the mudblood master know how to destroy the locket? How?" he asked me, hope in his voice.
"First, my name is Ethan, and I don't like being called a mudblood" I said, frowning, "And second, yes, I know the method to destroy the locket and the magic within it"
"How? How can Kreacher destroy the locket?" Kreacher asked me, looking at the box in his hands.
"You can't" I said, and he looked at me confused, so I started to explain, "As far as I know there are only three methods to destroy what's inside the locket, and two of them are spells and the other is using a something that is very rare and hard to get"
And listening to me the Kreacher's hopeful look changed to one of disappointment, and I could see his ears drooping sadly.
"Then it's impossible to destroy him," he muttered, but I shook my head.
"No, because what I said is that you can't destroy him, but I can and I will" I said, catching the elf's attention again.
Kreacher then began to look between me and the box in his hand apprehensively.
"Are you going to destroy him?" he asked me and I nodded.
"Yes, and that's why I came out here to get it," I said.
And after I said that Kreacher looked back at the box, and I could see that he was having an internal debate, probably wondering whether or not he should give me the Locket.
"You... Master Ethan promises to destroy the locket?" Kreacher asked, and I smiled to see that he'd changed the way he called me.
"Yes, I promise on my magic and life that I will destroy the locket," I said, raising my right hand.
And from that hand a white line appeared, before attaching itself to my wrist and disappearing, showing that a magical oath had been taken.
And it seems that the oath put an end to all the Kreacher's doubts, as a small relieved smile appeared on his face, and I could even see a few tears in his eyes.
"Kreacher will be able to fulfill the promise he made to Master Regulus... Master Regulus will be able to rest in peace" he said happily, looking like a totally different elf than I knew.
I let Kreacher cry for a while, not wanting to interrupt the moment of happiness and relief for the little elf who had been suffering under the pressure of a promise to his former master.
After almost a minute of the Kreacher crying and mumbling the elf then stopped crying, turning to me.
"Thanks," he said, picking up the box with the Slytherin's Locket and handing it to me.
I looked at him for a moment, realizing it must have been a tough choice for him to hand me the locket. I then reached out my hand and carefully picked up the box while holding my breath, afraid of suffering another magical attack from the Horcrux's dark magic.
And as soon as my hand touched the box I felt nothing and I sighed in relief.
Picking up the box I stood up with it in hand, with Kreacher looking down at me.
"Don't worry Kreacher, I'm going to destroy this locket, and then your master Regulus' soul will finally be able to rest in peace knowing that his mission was accomplished" I said, and he nodded at me, and I could see how he straightened up, as if a weight had been lifted from his shoulders.
"Now I need to go back downstairs, but first I would like to ask you not to say anything about what happened here, or about the locket to anyone, not even the other members of the Black family" I said, with a serious look in the face.
"Kreacher will keep his mouth shut, not even the traitor and the mistress will know about the locket" the elf said, also with a serious look.
"Sigh...thanks" I said.
"Master Ethan doesn't need to thank me," he said, bowing slightly to me, and without waiting for me to say anything else he disappeared with another snap.
Seeing this I could only shake my head ironically, but a little happily.
I had gotten the Slytherin's Locket and apparently the Kreacher's loyalty as well, which could help me in the future.
Nodding to myself I left Regulus' room, and outside I closed the door and took the Elder Key out of my pocket again, approaching the door and pressing the top of it.
I could then see that just as I expected, the Elder Key's runes again covered the door, only this time it was carrying the very blocking spell it had stored with it, transferring it to the door and activating it.
And not even 1 second later did I feel the door being magically locked, and looking closely at it I couldn't notice any difference that would reveal that someone had broken into the room.
And seeing this I nodded in satisfaction, 'Really Penny deserves to be called the greatest rune master alive' I thought.
After I finished relocking Regulus's bedroom door I took the Elder Key and went downstairs, having already hidden the box with the Slytherin's Locket in my pocket.
However, as soon as I got to the bottom of the stairs I came across Ginny, who was looking at me with a curious look, making me realize that I had forgotten an important detail.
'Damn, I forgot to disillusion myself' I thought, wanting to palm my forehead.
"Ethan? What were you doing up there?" Ginny asked me, and I quickly started searching my mind for an answer.
And as I thought of an answer, I heard the twins' voice laughing, and that gave me an idea.
"Well, don't tell Sirius, but I was setting a prank for him in his room," I said with a slight mischievous smile, winking at her.
And listening to my response Ginny continued to stare at me for a few seconds, with me still looking at her with a smile, until she shrugged.
"Oh cool," she said, before turning to leave.
Seeing that she bought into my lie, I sighed in relief, before following her.
Following her I walked past the living room, where I saw Dora telling the twins about one of her training adventures with Moody, with Cele in her lap. And on the other side, talking quietly were the golden trio.
I thought about joining them, but I decided to stop by the kitchen first to get something to drink, as I wanted something to refresh myself as I was still feeling a slight pain in my body due to the effects of the locket on my magic.
Arriving in the kitchen I saw that everyone was sitting around the table, with cups of coffee and tea in front of them, and Mrs. Weasley was standing at the sink rolling up the sleeves of her blouse, an apron already wrapped around her waist.
"What are you doing Mrs. Weasley?" I asked, getting her attention.
"Oh, I'm just going to wash the dishes" she replied with a slight maternal smile.
"You don't need to wash the dishes Mrs. Weasley, the Kreacher can take care of that" I said.
"Kreacher? Who is Kreacher?" she asked confused.
"He's my family's house-elf," Sirius said in a snort, and Mrs. Weasley blinked in surprise.
"Oh, there's no need for that dear, I can do the dishes myself" she said to me, only I didn't pay attention to her.
"Kreacher!" I called him, and immediately a snap sounded, with the little elf appearing in front of me.
"Did Master Ethan call me?" he asked respectfully.
And not noticing Sirius and Andromeda's shocked looks I spoke to him, "Yes, if you're not too busy I'd like to ask you to do the lunch dishes, please"
And listening to my request, the previously grumpy elf bowed slightly.
"Don't worry master Ethan, Kreacher will wash the dishes" he said, and then he raised his hand, snapping his fingers, and after that all the plates, cutlery and glasses that were in the sink started to clean themselves.
Seeing this I nodded to Kreacher with a grateful smile, receiving a nod back from the small elf.
"How?" Andromeda asked somewhat shocked and confused.
"So that's the power of a Ravenclaw?" Sirius muttered to himself, as if he had found the answer to everything.
And no one but Remus and Ted understood why they were reacting like this, with everyone looking at each other in confusion, wondering what was so surprising about a house-elf doing housework.
And ignoring them and a Mrs. Weasley a little upset about not being able to keep house, I grabbed my glass of water and left the kitchen, leaving behind this group of adults plus a pompous Percy.
End.

(End AN: Some people were asking me if there would be any romance between Ethan and Hermione, and I only have one thing to say... Why??
I think it's not clear enough that Ethan's love interest is Luna and Hermione's is Harry...)
