As Greg woke up the next day, he had opened the System since it had been a while since he has, and he noticed that he had a couple of missions to complete.

Looking at the quests, Greg was looking forward to the future, since all these rewards were great and would further help him build his Empire.

Though to reach that he must first take the first step and that would be to take his first City which may sound easy since he has a System, but it was actually a little difficult since he has to build his army up and plan for the actual siege of the city which will cost countless lives, but it was all for a better purpose.

After getting up, Greg went to practice with his sword with the soldiers in the courtyard of the mini fortress that was built. Although his skill with a sword was already good, still practicing would improve it over time and also since he had nothing better to do.

The training of the former slaves were now under way as the first thing that was done was a 1-month exercise plan to get them into shape and build some muscle on them and make them able to follow orders when told to. After that training, next would be the learning of different formations and tactics combined with weapon training.

The training was estimated to take 6-8 Months until they would be ready for actual combat. The former slaves were a combination of men and women. Training Women was not something that was supported at all in either Essos or Westeros, as women were usually left home while their husband or son goes and fight.

But in the Empire that Greg was building, women would have better standing than what they have elsewhere and while not like modern equality women would not be abused or enslaved in his empire.

Greg has learned and seen what giving women too many privileges will do since he came from a time when women were given rights and became equal to men but once they were given those rights many abused it making men feel inferior.

The slaves were a bit hesitant at first, but seeing all the strong and armored soldiers around, they reluctantly followed what they were told to do. The Women slaves at first thought that they would be rapes by the soldiers but nothing happened to them and seeing how the leader of these soldiers was a girl they felt a little safer.

Though in reality, they didn't know that Greg was the real leader and Aleanna was only a general. The first thing that the former slaves or New recruits were told to do were push-ups, since this was key to improve the upper body strength. Only a few of them could do over 15 push-ups, while the majority could barely do over 10.

Greg knew that their physique was not the healthiest, but to not be able to do over 10 push-ups was pretty bad, luckily he planned for this since they would be doing a simple work out routine for their first month of training then they would get into the more advanced training regime.

Greg didn't have access to the work-out equipment from his world, so he would have to make do with the surrounding resources.

At first, the training was like Hell for the new recruits most of them collapsed all the time and some nearly felt like dying throughout the day but as weeks went on of continuous training they had gotten used to the training and were even able to do more than their normal amount.

Greg seeing this figured it was time for the advanced training, but first he will let them continue this training since they still had a week left for the schedule.

During these 3 weeks of training, more slaves were rescued/found and brought back to the fortress for training. Seeing other slaves there, they felt that it would just be another long time with a new Master but when they were given rooms and food and told to train they were surprised but thankful, so they did everything that the soldiers asked of them since they didn't want to lose this new life that they had gotten.

Some people would ask Greg why he feeds the slaves and treats them nice, well because they were the easiest to influence and also easy to train since if you gave them food and shelter they would be eager to learn and do what ever you wanted. Basically, he was exploiting them, so he could use them to take Lorath.

Were there other methods he could have taken, 'yes' but he chose this method since it was easy plus under him, they were no longer slaves and instead new recruits for his army.
