36. Registering.

After that little episode, I honestly wasn't too disappointed, I mean free stuff is free and I didn't expect any kind of reward from helping someone. Plus my dragoon collection had increased which was nice. I had 3 left for the full collection, wind, lightning, and darkness. I had fire, gold which was earth, divine which was attributeless, water, and light.

Once I was done with the collection I hopefully won't get doubles of the same people.

The Strahl was going to be joining both Highwind airships and the Ragnarok which I currently wasn't using. Having 4 Airships was pretty cool, and Balthier had some knowledge of airships having customized the Strahl a bit so that was helpful. Maybe I'll be able to make improvements on them at some point with his and Cid's knowledge. But if we ever get run out of the city at least we will have a relatively safe place to live, in any of the 4 ships.

However right now I had some business with Rose who was in a very unpleasant mood. "So let me get this straight, the Soma familia captain threatened to kill you and was trying to rape his familia members in the dungeon?" She practically hisses.

"Yes, that about sums it up. For my dungeon dive today." I tell her honestly.

"That family has just been getting more and more wild lately! Drunken brawls in the city, property damage, robbing people, now even more problems in the dungeon!" She growls out unhappy that her charge had been threatened. Still there wasn't much she could do.

"So what did you do?" She asks. "I know the captain of the Soma familia is level 3."

"Of course I killed them and rescued the girl, I'm here to register her for my familia and ask you to be her dungeon guide." I pull the small girl in front of me.

"Of course you..." She stops and looks at me. "What did you say? You killed them? You didn't run?" She asks in shock.

"No? Why would I run?" I ask with a frown.

"Why would you run?! The captain is level 3! You are only level 1! How did you even manage to kill them?!" She questions seriously.

"I didn't know they were level 3. Must be pretty trash level 3's that spent most of their time drunk or picking on weaker people. And I killed them instantly." I offer peacefully. "Did I ever mention I made Bete from the Loki familia flee for his life?" I ask.

Rose grits her teeth. "No you did not mention that."

"Ah, well I'm pretty strong with magic and I have some unique weapons. So no need to worry." I tell her with a big smile.

I feel a knock on my head. "Of course I'm going to worry you idiot! Stop getting into trouble!" She says angrily.

"AIright Sheesh Alright, I'll try to keep out of trouble, I was just minding my own business in the dungeon killing lizardmen anyway beforehand. Not like i go and look for trouble." I sigh.

"Your already on bad terms with the Hephaestus familia, you don't need to be making more enemies." She says in a serious tone.

"I got it. Now can you register Lili here." I ask the angry werewolf.

"Fine, but your going to tell me how you came to fight Bete. Are you enemies with the Loki familia too? Please tell me you aren't." She practically begs. Any one of the three familia Loki, Freya, or Hephaestus familia arent ones you want to be on the bad side of.

"No my goddess and Loki are sisters, I'm actually on really good terms with the Loki familia. I think." I say after pondering for a moment.

"You think?" Rose asks with narrowed eyes.

"I may have used a small bet to weasel Loki put of 1,000,000 vali to free Lili here from the Soma Familia." I tell her as she just points at me. "I might not have mentioned how much the debt was and she may have assumed it was at the max 100,000 vali." I chuckle sheepishly.

"You...you..your a bad luck magnet!" She says poking me.

"Ah, it's not my fault." I try to deny.

"It is absolutely your fault!" she says poking more. "You said my job is to keep you safe, how can I do that if you keep doing foolish things."

"Okay, I'll try to keep a low profile from now on. I'll probably have to train this one a bit before going back down to the dungeon." it would be nice to have a little training break I suppose.

"You better or I swear!" She shakes her fist at me.

After the scolding she get to registering Lili still giving me the occasional glare.

Once all that is done we head off towards the shopping district. "Do you need any clothes?" I ask.

"No I have 2 pairs." She says.

"We are getting clothes then. I need some more for myself." I admit. "We can pick up food afterwards."

Heading into a decent looking clothing shop. "Just pick what you like." I head over and start browsing some shirts. After getting blood on some of my clothes from monsters I rapidly learned that it is incredible hard to get blood or burn marks out of clothes. Especially clothes that aren't black or dark colors. So I have burned quite a few of my shirt with lightning or fire magics on accident.

I grab a couple of black shirts and a couple sets of pants and ask to use the changing room.

Closing the curtain I pull off my shirt and hear a small clinking noise on the floor. I had accidentally pulled off my soul hiding necklace with my shirt.

I feel some kind of gaze on my body instantly. Then the world freezes once more.

"Congratulations, you've changed the fate of the worlds main hero. You lucky dog you." The god of playstation says.

I just have a confused look on my face. "What?"

Five more template cards pop up and the silhouette starts to shift.

"Hey! What do you mean I changed the fate of the hero? I didn't do anything! And why are there 5?!" I call out in confusion this whole situation seems quite worrying.
