"Ahhh!"
Gul let out a cry in despair as he saw the big fox devouring one of his legs. It was a shocking sight to see and even feel.
Imagine witnessing a beast slowly consuming you little by little...
In addition to that intense physical pain, Gul also had a deep sense of fear, knowing that this spiritual beast was going to completely devour him.
This was a disturbing situation. Just a few days ago, Gul was excited about what this fox and her cub could do for him. But now... this was the end of the line for him.
As the physical pain and the fear of imminent death continued to overwhelm him, Gul quickly began to lose his mind and started screaming wildly and even laughing sometimes. 'Wow... It looks like he simply went crazy...' Minos remarked, seeing the scene.
Meanwhile, all the soldiers accompanying Minos on this trip felt a sense of unease rising in their hearts with the scene occurring before them. After all, watching while a person was being gradually devoured by a spiritual beast was not easy to endure.
Some of them couldn't hold back and had even started to vomit on the spot, while others were terrified of Emlyn. 'If she decides to accompany the young master, how can we relax?' many soldiers wondered, their faces filled with discomfort.
Ruth then turned to Minos and asked, "Don't you care that she's doing this?" She ended up sighing and continued, "Even though he is an enemy, I think it is very wrong to let a spiritual beast devour a human."
"Eh, I don't care. He was the one who asked for it. It doesn't make any difference if he's a human and she's a spiritual beast," Minos replied without any change in his expression.
With all the knowledge that Minos had, he knew that his personality could not be merciful. He knew that there were far worse fates that one could face than just being eaten by a beast.
Compared to the massacre of one's entire clans and tribes, this was way much docile.
In the Continent of Beasts, even within some tribes, the practice of cannibalism after battles between members of the same race was not uncommon. Thus, the act of devouring human enemies was nothing more than a minor action for these spiritual beasts.
Hearing what Minos had said, Ruth fell silent and began contemplating it. This was a cruel world where beasts were turned into human food every day, so why should it be considered weird if a beast did the same to humans?
Wasn't this simply the rule of the jungle? The stronger eats the weak.
And it didn't take long before Emlyn had entirely devoured the former bandit chief. After that, she turned to look at Minos before returning back to the room where she and her daughter were staying, patiently waiting for him to return.
Minos had already asked her to wait for him in that room if she wanted to see what he had to show her. There was no way that he was going to take her to the Spatial Kingdom from an open place full of people, such as this courtyard.
After the five-tailed fox left the courtyard, all the soldiers finally let out a sigh of relief.
Her going away had finally brought some relief to them since her presence was a pressure.
"Alright, that's all. Carry out the remaining preparations as soon as possible so that we can leave Yellow City as soon as possible," Minos said after letting out a sigh of relief. He had finally sorted everything out on this trip.
"Oh, I almost forgot. Let the people of Yellow City know that we will be leaving today," he added before standing up and making his way out.
After that, he walked alone to the mansion's first floor, the place where Emlyn and Kyla stayed.
That room was large and almost empty, with a large carpet covering the floor. Dillian had chosen this location for the fox pair since there were no other places in this mansion available to them.
As Minos entered the room, he noticed Emlyn lovingly licking Kyla's hair while the little fox had her belly turned towards her mother. The young sovereign then said with a smile on his face. "I'm glad you decided to accept my offer. Now I'm going to take you and Kyla to a different place."
"A different place?" the mother fox repeated in confusion.
"Hmm, I need to touch the two of you for this," he explained as he crouched down and picked up the little fox who was playing with her mother.
"Au! Au!"
His action caused a yipping from the little fox.
After that, Minos placed his other hand on Emlyn's neck before activating his unique ring, which granted him access to the Spatial Kingdom.
Upon noticing Minos' action, Emlyn found it very strange but didn't say anything. However, the surrounding space around them suddenly shifted from an empty and ample room to a highly lush forest.
"What?" she exclaimed aloud as she noticed the sudden change of scenery. 'Huh, this... He brought me to a completely different place...' She then stopped thinking about it when she felt her surroundings.
This was a vibrant environment that was brimming with spiritual energy, along with that were many plants, herbs, and roots, all with a high-level spirituality. It was as if she had stumbled upon a treasure of the highest order!
"How is this possible? Even the dragon tribe doesn't have such a place!" Emlyn gasped aloud as she ran from side to side.
With the well-developed senses of a spiritual beast, she could discern just how valuable this place was. It wasn't just the spiritual medicines; the soil, the water, in fact, even the air here itself were all of the highest possible quality. And the most impressive aspect was not just the quality, but the sheer quantity of each of these resources.
"One, two... Twenty-nine... eighty-two... Gods, how can there be so many Saint-grade medicines in one place? And they are all of the same type!"
After taking a sniff and identifying the numerous plants within the Spatial Kingdom, Emlyn finally returned to Minos with a look of admiration on her face. 'No wonder! With a place like this, he could even feed a dragon up to level 100!'
She then approached Minos as curiosity took the better of her, Emlyn asked, "Is this a Spatial Kingdom? Why doesn't this have any other humans or spiritual beasts here? I only managed to sense two humans besides you."
Similar to humans, spiritual beasts who could reach level 100 were also able to create Spatial Kingdoms. And being a beast of a high-level race, Emlyn knew a little about these cultivation sanctuaries. Although her tribe didn't possess one, they knew about the Spatial Kingdoms that belonged to the other races, such as dragons.
But as far as she knew; these sites were generally used as headquarters, or general headquarters where the most important members of these forces resided. These places also provided the best environment for individuals to cultivate, spiritual medicines to flourish, and were practically impenetrable to external enemies!
So, it would be a significant waste to create such a place and not completely use it.
"For some reason, this place wasn't designed to accommodate a large number of people. Instead, this Spatial Kingdom was specifically made to nurture a great number of spiritual medicines, as you can see," Minos explained.
After saying this, Minos led the way as he walked to the house near the lake while holding little Kyla and Emlyn following them closely.
After reaching, Minos pulled out a chair and sat outside the house and while gazing over the calm lake he said, "Now that you've seen that I can help both of you grow to your maximum potential, let's talk about business."
"There are two things that I want you to do. First, you must strengthen yourself in this place but don't eat high-level medicines right away without talking to me first. Second, I want you to run this place while I'm away. As you can see..." Minos pointed at the two youths, who were training not far from the house.
He then continued, "I don't plan to turn this place into a city like many of the powers of the Spiritual World do with their Spatial Kingdoms, but I still do plan to bring some of my soldiers here.
For now, it's just those two, but in the future, there will be more.
And that must be your main responsibility, at least until you reach level 70. Then, if I need your help outside, I will rely on your strength," he explained sincerely.
Upon hearing her duties, Emlyn thought that this was too easy for her. Living in a place like this was the dream of any spiritual beast, so Minos did not need to ask for it. In fact, she was already thinking of begging for it!
"Since I will be part of your force, does it mean that you'll also help me when I need it?" the fox asked earnestly.
"Hmm, that's right."
"In that case, you need to know why I came to give birth to my daughter in the north of the Central Continent," Emlyn began speaking in a somber tone.
"About six months ago, my husband and I were kidnapped while traveling to the Divine Continent. After leaving the west of the Continent of the Beast, where our clan is located, we were intercepted by a pirate ship from one of the powers of the Central Continent."
"At that time, after our abduction, due to a great storm that occurred in the region we were held, the pirate ship was thrown towards the north of the Central Continent, into the Kingdom of End..."
