Chapter 71: Confliction

Phobias are heightened irrational fear that you're unable to do anything about it. 40% of the world population develop phobias before the age of 10, 95% before the age of 20, 45% acquire multiple phobias, 17% develop depression, and 23% of those people actually seek out treatment.

Algophobia. The fear of pain.

Bacteriophobia. The fear of bacteria.

Catoptrophobia. The fear of mirrors.

Glossophobia. The fear of speaking in public.

Haphephobia. The fear of touch.

I could go on and on listing the hundreds of phobias accounted for, but the one that strikes me to the core is Acrophobia, the fear of heights. I have never been a fan of heights and yet here I am scaling a twenty-story building site.

"Max are you in position?" Sergeant Austin asked through the earpiece.
