Three years had passed since Naruto left the village. Karin was cooking inside the house and Naruto came behind her and hugged her resting his chin on her shoulder. He had two blood coloured eyes with three tomoe in each eyes. He asked her "What are you cooking Karin" She smiled and replied "Just some curry and rice which you like so much Naruto. Now Let me finish cooking". Naruto then left her and sat on the couch waiting for lunch. Kurama just snorted and lied down in his mindscape. His mindscape was a huge forest and grassland and not a sewer, but the fox was still in a cage.

In the past three years, Minato had trained Naruto with everything he knew. Naruto can now use Flying thunder God as good as Minato. They also improved it and can summon the people or things they have marked. He also learnt the Rasenshuriken and also chakra enhancement techniques of Tsunade as it was basically a technique of the Uzumaki which she improved. Naruto also got friendlier with Kurama and Karin also met the fox many times. Minato had given the key used to unseal kurama to Naruto, but Naruto couldn't unseal him still as his body & mind was not strong enough to contain the massive amount of chakra.

When he tried to unseal him once, the negative energy overwhelmed him and Kurama said that he needs to train more and also conquer his negative emotions in his heart. But at the time he opened the seal, Kurama willingly gave him some of his chakra instead of playing tug of war and Naruto stored that chakra inside his mindscape in a separate place. He trained with the chakra the same way Naruto trained with Bee in the original by using chakra hands by arranging stones and other things on top of one another. He can use that chakra freely and enter into the chakra cloak mode which drastically increases his powers.

At the start, Naruto was just using Minato to train and Karin to do stuff for him, but as time went by, Karin showed him love which he didn't get as he lost his parents in a young age and didn't have any loved ones in his previous life and Karin also became close to him standing by his side. He started to change little by little and started to trust both Minato and Karin. As he was betrayed by his country in his last life, he had felt that nobody is trustworthy as he didn't know what is love. He didn't have anyone he cared about. But after staying with Karin, he started caring about her and felt like protecting her. Not that his character changes towards others.

Also when training while he was hurt badly due to overtraining his body, she would feel real sad and also show concern which Naruto understood that it was her genuine feelings due to his experience in both lives. Thus he began to slowly open up to her and also had a feeling of wanting to protect her at all costs as time passed by. After two years, Minato thought him everything he knew and Naruto stored him back into the coffin. He could summon Minato back if he was really in a pinch or if the situation demands it. Minato also agreed to help him in his times of need and will go back to rest after Naruto becomes strong enough to be at the top of the Ninja world.

Minato also helped Karin in her training. Even if he had only a little knowledge in medical ninjutsu, it helped her in the starting stages. Karin was also smart and sharp with good talent. So she figured out most things by herself. She learnt Fuinjutsu easily as she is an Uzumaki. She also learnt Senju style Taijutsu and chakra enhanced strength of Tsunade as it was basically an Uzumaki technique and was present in the library. Minato also helped in modifying many Uzumaki techniques and jutsus for them. One such thing was the Yin seal on Tsunade's forehead.

Karin picked it up first and Minato as a genius figured out the changes Tsunade made to the original seal easily and modified it for her. Karin had a much higher level chakra than Tsunade as she was a pure Uzumaki. So this seal helps her a lot and when released, it's like she is a mini Jinchuriki after using the seal. After the three year training, she became a good medical ninja and can heal others just by inserting her chakra into others without the need to be bitten.

As she became proficient in medical ninjutsu, Naruto asked her to transplant Fugaku's eyes on to him which she did, but this saddened Minato as he learnt that Danzo and Hiruzen teamed up destroying the Uchiha clan and Naruto also told Minato what he knew from the anime about how Danzo planned many things in the shadows like revealing his birth place to the akatsuki to get rid of Minato and how he used that incident in making Uchihas look bad in the village and finally created a rebellion and killed all of them using an Uchiha itself. Hiruzen also supported all his deeds. Minato angered hearing all this and finally agreed that Naruto was right and approved that changes must be done to the village.

Then Minato also helped him in creating a seal to deactivate his Sharingan by forcibly stopping the chakra flow in the pathways of the eyes just like how an uchiha does it physically due to their bloodline, but his blue eyes turned to black after the implant. Naruto also wanted to implant sharingan on Karin, but he didn't know any medical jutsus and didn't learn them as well as he didn't have that much time because he needed to increase his strength as soon as he can. So he put it on hold. But the implant of the Sharingan and continuous use of it made his chakra reserves grow beyond Kage level.

After three years of training, Naruto was now 13 years old and was at the level of Jonin. If he uses the chakra cloak, he will surpass Elite Jonin, reaching Quasi Kage level and using the More More fruit ability along with cloak, reach Mid Kage level as his fruit power didn't improve much during the time and can only use 30 times increase. The fruit power became stagnant after reaching 30 times maybe because his body is not strong enough or old enough. But he also has Flying thunder god, so it's difficult for even Hiruzen or Danzo to fight him now.

Karin came to the couch with lunch she prepared and both of them ate the lunch and Naruto spoke "Karin, it's time for me to get back to the village as academy will end soon. You stay here and train well. Also if you are in any sort of trouble, just inject some chakra into the Hiraishin seal I gave you and I will appear immediately." She reluctantly nodded and asked "Won't you come visit me some time?" Naruto smiled "Sure. I'll come whenever I get time. Also be careful and take care of yourself." He then kissed her forehead and waving goodbye, left the land of whirlpools in the direction of Konoha.
