More Testing

"Is he crazy?"

"These peasants are bold these days."

"He thinks just because he can fly, he can take on Magic Knight Captains."

"I hope she accepts and put him in his place."

"That arrogant bastard!"

Hearing the people behind him, Madara got a bit annoyed, as he directed his killing intent to the ones who were talking. Instantly, they shut their mouths.

The Magic Knight Captains were astonished, but they didn't let it show. Never has someone challenged a captain better yet, a peasant. But this peasant showed great promise. They were all waiting for what Charlotte would say.

"I commend you for your bravery, but I have no interest in harming a future ally." Charlotte said as the brown-skinned girl behind her let out a sigh of relief.

"Don't tell me you are afraid. You put countless men in the hospital for not being able to beat you, now that there is someone you refuse." Madara said not fazing Charlotte but angering the girl behind her.

"You bastard!" The girl shouted at Madara.

"Sol! Quiet!" Charlotte said as she raised her hand signaling Sol to stop speaking.

"If I win, you can never take a Magic Knights Exam again and you must leave and never come back." Charlotte said making some of the captains furrow their eyebrows.

"And, when I win?" Madara said making Sol grit her teeth.

"If you win, you will have proven yourself worthy of handling my curse." Charlotte said shocking Sol and some of the examinees who had a crush on her.

Madara only smiled, as he flew around the area at high speeds to give the captains a glimpse of his strength.

"Now, let us continue." William said as everyone took their last attempt to fly on a broom. Some flew and she barely got off the ground. But there was one who hadn't move an inch.

The next test consisted of firing a blast of magic power at a wall. When it was Madaras' turn, all eyes were on him. Madara made a condensed ball and threw it at the wall. On impact, the wall was destroyed along with the two walls next to it.

Everyone didn't know whether to be amazed or frightened. When he destroyed the walls, he looked to Charlotte who didn't seem to be fazed. On the inside, he knew what was going through her mind.

Next, was shooting a moving target. Easily, Madara hit the bullseye. At this point, everyone knew that he was amazing, but those who could sense intent knew that he was constantly giving off a bit of malice.

When he hit the moving target, he looked to Charlotte once again who looked indifferent. He didn't let that get to him though because the vice captain's face said it all.

She knew her captain was strong, but what Madara was displaying was concerning. He also had a sword on his lower back. Sol didn't know what to think, but she knew Charlotte would have trouble with him.

Next, was creating something with magic. While others were creating small figures of people. Madara took a good look at the captains, vice-captains, and anyone else they were with.

One by one, Madara created full-body replicas of each of them. Nobody had seen something with such magic power and control to make something like that. The other who created small figures felt so inferior to Madara. They knew they would never be able to compete with him. He was on another level.

Next, was pouring magic power into a seed so it would grow. Madara took his seed and went somewhere secluded. Everyone was confused about what he was doing but kept watch. He then began to pour magic power into the seed.

At first nothing happening which disappointed everyone who was watching. They expected to see something great from his previous performances. When everyone gave up on him and work on their seed, darkness surrounded them.

When they looked back, they saw the tallest and biggest tree they had ever seen. The tree was taller than the Colosseum.

"Hey, William! Looks like that kid's tree magic might be better than yours!" Yami said while laughing. William could only be amazed at the size of it, he had never seen a tree that big before.

At this point, Charlotte was so nervous that a cold sweat dripped from her forehead. All in all, she kept her composer because she couldn't let some kid get to her.

"Woah, so cool!" Asta said looking at the enormous tree, then looking back to his seed that had grown.

"Remind me never to piss him off."

"Yeah, same here."

"Did you see he was carrying a sword? If his sword skills are just as amazing as his magic, Charlotte is going to be in trouble." Someone in the crowd said.

"Yeah, you're right. Maybe he's strong enough to take on captain Vengeance."

"Are you kidding? Captain Vengeance is next in line for wizard king. Unless he can beat the wizard king he doesn't stand a chance!"

"But did you hear? Someone was walking around with the wizard without a care n the world. Not everyone could do that. They must have had some sort of connection with each other."

"What are saying? That him and the wizard king fought?"

"It's a possibility."

"So then, all the captains are in for trouble."

The captains heard this conversation and scoffed at the Idea. A peasant beating royalty? Has never been heard of. While on the outside, they showed no care for, but on the inside, they knew it could be true.

Madara then set the tree ablaze and burned it to ashes in a matter of moments. Now they knew he was amazing, but him possessing two elements. They questioned themselves if he could rival royalty.

"Those are some nice flames he has there." The captain of the Crimson Lions said.

When the smoke cleared, Madara could be seen staring at Charlotte. The stares were only a message.

"Ahem! For the final part of the exam, you will engage in actual combat." William said shocking the crowd because that was something they weren't expecting.

"You'll be battling!" The captain of the Crimson Lions shouted.

"You will pair off and right with your partner. You may use your grimoires to attack." The captain of the Crimson Lions shouted to the crowd while clenching his fist.

"If we lose, it'll severely affect our evaluation." A man in the crowd said.

"Picking the right opponent will be key." Another man in the crowd said.

"Fighting is our duty. Show us your true abilities!" The orange hair man shouted standing next to William.

"As soon as one of you yields or becomes unable to fights the exam will be over. There will be mages who can use healing magic on standby." The man with the golden helmet said.

"So fight to your heart's content!" The orange-haired man said holding up his right arm.

'He's going to miss that arm.' Madara thought to himself.

While everyone was trying to find a partner, a person with combed-back hair asked Asta to be his partner. Asta agreed and they waiting for the final test to begin.

No one dared to look in the direction of Madara. They knew to not challenge Madara because it would be a death wish. The only person Madara was looking to battle was Charlotte.

As Asta and Sekke were in the middle, Sekke told Asta his true intentions before the match started.

"Begin!" The announcer said.

"No holding back, all right?" Sekke said sarcastically.

"Sure thing. Here I go" Asta said with an open grimoire.
