Aroused By The Moment

"What took you so long?" David asks Sabrina as soon as she ducks inside the car and closes the door.

"Nothing, let's go." David starts the car, still not looking convinced but he lets it go and focuses his attention back on driving.

They drove silently on the road and it was about 4 o'clock which meant they still had time before Sabrina's curfew. They drove until David pulled the car to a place. He excused himself and told Sabrina that he'll be back in twenty minutes while Sabrina waited for him inside the car and he actually came back in twenty-five minutes with two paper bags in his hands. When Sabrina asked him what was it, he just answered that it was to enjoy for later but it was certain from the aroma which engulfed Sabrina inside the car that it had something nice to eat.

David again started the car and they drove towards a new destination. Soon enough the wind changed.

It was more moist and cold as if at the beach.

Her thoughts were answered soon when she saw the glimpse of the ocean from afar from her window. All of a sudden she had become an elementary kid again, the feeling of excitement rushed through her veins. She excitedly moves her head out of the window and pushes her body up with her hands against the door. A wide smile spreads across her face and she speaks through the cold wind.

"It's the ocean!" David smiles, shaking his head "Look, David, it's so blue!" She yells over the wind, pointing in the direction of the sea. David extends his arm and grasps her from the waist and pulls her back inside and on the seat. "What? Didn't you see it?"

"Be careful, we don't want to get you hurt before we reach there."

"Really? We were not passing through?" She asks, excited as ever and David chuckles and nods his head.

David pulls the car when they reached the beach. It was a cloudy day which was better for a small picnic. David had come with a plan, keeping in mind about the weather which was way unpredictable these days. David reaches to the trunk of the car, he opens it and retrieves a sheet and shuts it back. He was carrying the paper bags in his one hand and sheet in another. Sabrina looked at his hands and gives a questioning look to which David shrugs.

They both move towards the beach. They had put off their shoes back inside the car before coming out. Sabrina runs as soon her feet dig inside the sand and David watches her running on the sand as she takes on like a fully fledged. David places the sheet on to the sand and sits on it.

He watches the glimmer that had spread around the environment or so it seemed to him because of Sabrina's excitement. He wanted to remain in this moment where he could watch her like this carefree, excited and young. He realized that it was something more he was feeling. He shook his head and opened the paper bag and found the food still hot.

"Hey! Let's eat first!" He speaks loud enough for her to hear. She turns and looks back at David.

"Are you kidding? We are at the beach and you are thinking about eating! Get up, old man!" David shakes his head while she runs towards the ocean with her jeans folded up to her knees. He focuses on his paper bag and inhales the aroma that was bursting out of it.

It was a cheeseburger from his favorite place. When his mother was alive they both used to go there and from since then he has never forgotten their taste, he often likes to eat at that place when he's depressed or to be specific when he wants to be alone. It kind of reminds him of his mother. David was about to have the first bite of his burger when he feels something wet and sticky behind his back. He turns to look back and his face hits with cold wet beach sand which drips down from his face, slowly.

"Ooppss." Sabrina pretends as she playfully fidgets with her fingers, innocently. David puts back the burger inside the paper bag and gets up off the sheet. Sabrina walks backward slowly while she watches his every move.

"No one messes with my favorite food," David says, dusting off his jeans. David launches towards Sabrina while she shrieks and runs on her toes, facing towards the ocean. David's long legs win against her and he holds her from the back while she laughs, yet struggles for an escape.

The sound of her laughter was yet another music to David's ears and this environment. If it was in his hands he would have put a repeat button to this moment all over again and never get tired of it.

David picks her up from the back and winds her up and round while she laughs, holding him tight for support through his arms on her waist. David brings her back on the ground and kneels to fills his hand with wet sand. As he stands back, he applies the wet sand on her cheeks and half of it falls on her shoulder. She giggles and tries to push David away who was too strong to even budge. David releases her and stands back while she moves towards him and he turns to run away but fails when his foot slips on the sand and he falls on his back. Sabrina immediately holds him by the arm and laughs while he laughs with her.

It was funny at how he failed to run away and slipped. They were near water, a wave comes close to them and Sabrina leans down and splashes water on David, he stands up and splashes water back on Sabrina. They both were still laughing while they splashed on each other.

David moves closer to her and pulls her by the arm, closer to him. They were now standing with their foreheads joined together. No one was laughing now but staring into each other eyes with heavy breaths.

But this time the one to reduce the remaining distance was Sabrina.

She kisses him deeply on his sanded wet lips, a kiss she never thought she was ever able to do. She was surprised by herself on her bold move but she never wanted to regret this moment and thus she lets herself be aroused by this moment.
