46. No Invite

RuQian headed to the dining room, not waiting for the other two. She was too hungry to care. Old butler Wong had already set the table for three and was waiting nearby to serve.

RuQian's mouth watered slightly seeing all the food but she could not eat all of the delicious food due to her diet.

Old butler Wong served them Minestrone soup first. Her grandfather sat at the head of the table, her to his right while Master Liu sat to his left.

"Hmm. Xiao Qian, let me introduce you to Master Liu. He is a famous martial arts trainer and he wants to take you as his student." Looked like her grandfather couldn't wait any longer.

RuQian nodded slightly at the man opposite her and went back to her soup. Master Liu did not know what to do. The girl did not spare him another glance.

Where was the little kid who jumped up to him, asking him to play catch with her. Was that cute little kid really this brat?

Liu Ren cursed his master silently, if it weren't for that man he wouldn't be here. Liu Ren gave the old man beside him a small smile and started eating his soup.

Her grandfather saw RuQian's reaction and did not know what to say. She was never like this, ugh.., she was like this but after she had moved into his mansion she had not behaved this way.

Maybe she was tired. He could see how dull her eyes were and he remembered she had been dozing off in the meeting room, so she might not have slept properly the previous night, she was also out until evening and had said she had to tend to work.

The girl looked spread, he could not get mad at her but this situation did not allow him to just let her go to bed. Master Liu was a very famous martial arts teacher and him volunteering to take Xiao Qian in as his student was a great opportunity for her.

Master Liu had said his Xiao Qian reminded him of his favorite student who had sadly left him, so Master Liu wanted to take RuQian under his tutelage.

"Xiao Qian, would you like to be Master Liu's student?" He did not waste time and wanted to get this conversation over with.

RuQian lifted her eyes slowly and glanced at her grandfather, then glared at Liu Ren for a moment before revealing the same chilling smile from before, "I would be honored."

It definitely did not look like she was honored. But her grandfather only heard the good in her words, while Liu Ren heard the worst.

"That's great, you two should discuss the place and timings where you can both train."

"Master Liu, I hope you wouldn't mind if I can train at the mansion itself." RuQian saw Liu Ren was going to deny, so she fired her first arrow, "You see, I was abducted recently so I don't think I would feel comfortable in unknown surroundings but if you really want to train me elsewhere, I wouldn't mind." Seeing her grandfather and Master Liu swaying, RuQian fired the next arrow and put on a gloomy expression with a slight pout.

"That is right. Master Liu, I hope you can take up my granddaughter's offer. She has been traumatized by the abduction and I would not want her to get hurt any more."

Master Liu nodded his head but on the inside his only thought was, 'Didn't this girl stay out the whole day. She wasn't even home till late and you are saying she is traumatized?'

This was discrimination but he couldn't say anything. This devil was a mission to him which had to be fulfilled.

"Sure, whatever is comfortable to you Miss Su."

Strike Two! RuQian's gaze chilled immediately, she glared at Liu Ren openly without hiding the malice even when her grandfather turned to her. Her grandfather too was shocked for a moment by the drop in the temperature.

"My name is RuQian. You can call me only using that name." RuQian replied gritting her teeth. She hated that man's surname who killed her and her mother.

Liu Ren started sweating all of a sudden, he nodded his head hastily, "Yes, miss RuQian. I will do so." This woman was fucking scary!

Her grandfather now had an inkling as to why she had suddenly moved out and had never even brought up her father's name, she must have found out about his affairs.

Good, because he had not even sent an invite for her birthday party to that cheating bastard. He wanted to ask her about it later, if she wanted that man to come he would invite that prick even though he did not want to.

But seeing his granddaughter's reaction now he realized he did not even need to ask her. No Invite and this was decided.

After this, her grandfather tried to smooth out the conversation, they discussed how the backyard of the mansion would be transformed into a training arena.

RuQian decided she would practice from four in the morning to six and would start with running to get her body used to the exercise before the training arena was ready.

The number of rounds would be decided in the morning everyday. She would also need to run in the evening. This was to make sure she would be exercising the whole day in some manner.

Master Liu informed RuQian he would meet her after the backyard was set up and until then she was to do her runs, both mornings and evenings.

RuQian agreed with him and after finishing dinner, the man left. Her grandfather looked like he was curious about something but he just told her to sleep early as she had to wake up the next day for her jog.

He did not know that, that was the actual time RuQian usually woke up due to her nightmares. She did not correct him and was too tired to even think about anything else.

She wished her grandfather goodnight, then dragged herself to her bedroom, she took a look at the computer, she still had to check the recording but she was too tired.

She figured the recording would still be the same the next day, so she applied her night toner and dumped herself into the soft and warm covers of her bed.
