Chapter 24: DID THEY DO THIS?

Note: (Only 15 people survived to reach Ep. 24)

"Hold it!" One woman yelled with her might,

"Oh, you want to die first? Alright,"

BANG! The gunshot sounded loudly,

The woman dropped to the ground,

And he doesn't even look sorry.

Mar looked at me, then with her hands she told me to stay behind,

He looks determined, and I know there's no changing his mind,

So I just stayed low, waiting for peace to come,

But with what he looks, I doubt he'll be calm.

He began to talk a lot about his wants,

I tried to shut myself, but I was growing mad,

Mar held my arm, her eyes telling me to stop,

I tried to breathe, reminded myself it could be the Devil's trap.

The man grabbed his friends, and told them to tie us up,

I felt myself boiling, my face is angry without a doubt,

But the kid clung to me, scared of what could be,

"Would we survive?"

"Yes, yes, definitely,"

They stole the food for themselves,

As the remaing survivors suffer on end,

The 4 of them mercilessly eat on front of us,

If only right now, I can turn them all to dust.

When night fall came, I anticipated another dream,

I tried to force myself to sleep,

Then I doze off, greeted by a light beam,

Saw myself, walking to a greenish steep,

As I realized, I must be dreaming deep.

Hunger helped motivate me to sleep further,

Seeing that the outside world had been a lot colder,

I decided to ask for help, if it would come in any way,

I saw a light from a distant,

"Wait! Stop getting away!"

The light dispersed, then formed a few letters,

"I'l tell you what to do, I know this is what you're after,"

I readied my ears to listen through,

"Just tell me what to do,"

Everything around me became pitch black,

The path I'm taking was gone, no track,

I followed the lights reaching it with my hand,

Then I felt my feet sinking,

"What's this? Is this sand?"

I dropped and I shut my eyes,

When I did open, I felt paralyzed,

I felt my throat dry, not a word from my mouth,

Then was surrounded by white doves, flying about.

They told me about a plan,

"Just three steps, I know you can,"

"Don't forget, or you'll surely fail,

Trust on it, and it'd surely sail,"

"Let everyone know, let everyone say this,

A special phrase, be sure not a word to miss,

If completed, then pray with your heart,

My brothers will help you, are you ready to start?"

They then let me speak,

"What's the phrase?" I asked, feeling weak,

My hunger began to surface,

"I may wake up soon," I told the doves,

"Tell me now, or I'll lose the chance,"

My vision was becoming to blurry,

"Tell me now! Oh please do hurry!"

I could hear other voices, I'm certain they weren't from this dream,

"Alright, child, listen, it would only be in a whim,"

"Say the words, 'please help us, those who trust in You,

"That's it? That's all I'm to do?"

"All of you must say it, praying all together,

Then an angel will save you, trust me,

And my brother,"

Then I felt myself fading away,

The angels, only now nothing but lights,

Tried to hold my hand,

But they lost me twice.

"I know you can do it," they told me in unison,

"Oh please, I hope, for living this way is like prison,"

"You can, we know, so hang on,"

"My brother will come, your wait won't be long,"

I woke up, upset than ever,

My body is sore, from the tight rope all over,

I looked at the four men, they were eating again,

I felt myself growing hot, at least this hunger won't be in vain.

When they were distracted I passed the message to the little boy,

"Is that so? I sure would, I'd tell the other sir,"

"Very good, but keep quiet, we don't know if they'd obey,"

"Don't worry sir, all would know within a blurr,"

As the kid pass the message, secretly to the other person,

I kept an eye on the men, who only eat, half-drunk, fill the room with laughter,

I felt a deep voice, whisper to my ears,

"If you get out of here kill them, I know you want that at least,"

It might be just an inner part of me,

Wanting to get revenge,

So I ignored it, then continued to look instead,

The kid then whispered, as quiet as he could,

"They all are informed, tell us next of what to do,"

I smiled at myself, knowing the doom that would befall the men,

A dark deep cackle, was forming in my head,

We all did secretly, what the angels exactly said,

I felt shocked, unready, as the four men collapsed, already dead.

Did the angels do this?

Did I asked for this?

I felt numb and too absorbed by the scene,

Are the angels what they really seem?
