Chapter 20: Murder...

That night a falling star could be seen as it flew across the sky of Astaria. Little did anyone know it was the fallen god Khazotz, who had been cast out of the heavens by his father.

Lucian woke up slowly, opening his eyes and taking in his surroundings. The light of the morning sun shone through the shutters of the window, and his ears picked up the noises from outside.

He looked down and could see that Hestia was fast asleep with her head on his chest, snoring away without a care in the world.

Lucian also noticed that she was completely naked, and his body stiffened as his face went a little red.

"Damn it, what have I told her about clothes." He thought as he tried not to take another look as she pushed her large breasts up against him.

Lucian couldn't take it anymore and quickly jumped out of bed, pushing Hestia off of it by accident.

Hestia moaned as she slowly pulled herself back up onto the bed and let loose a large yawn and stretched her arms over her head.

Lucian did his best to look away from her assets and grabbed a blanket before throwing it at her.

"Good morning, master! Did you sleep well?" She asked, not even catching the blanket as she let it fall to the floor before she stood up.

"Hestia, will you put some clothes on!" Lucian shouted as he turned around so he couldnt see her.

Hestia looked down at her body and then back at Lucian with a wicked smile on her face.

"What's wrong, master... Do I make you feel uncomfortable?" She said as she jumped onto his back, wrapping her arms around his neck.

Lucian didn't even flinch as he tried not to think about it.

"Come on, master why don't you want me!" Hestia whispered into his ear before biting it a little.

Lucian went bright red and threw her across the room as he spun around that quickly.

"That's enough of that Hestia. I order you to get dressed and stop fooling around!" Lucian shouted.

Suddenly the magical seal on her body started to glow, and Hestia winced a little as she had to do as he commanded.

"Hey, no fair!" She shouted as he body went into autopilot, and she started to get dressed.

Lucian looked a little surprised at what was going on, realising that was the first time he had actually ordered her to do something, seeing that the magical slave seal worked as he had been told.

"I'm sorry, Hestia, I didn't mean to." He said as he stopped the order in his mind, allowing her to move freely once more.

Hestia pulled a sad face before jumping into his arms.

"Don't be silly, master! I could never be upset at you!" She said, putting on her puppy dog eyes.

Lucian smiled and stroked her hair a little before telling her to finish getting ready.

He had remembered they were supposed to be meeting Ron this morning before going to check on Scarlett and then looking for more work.

Once Hestia was finally ready, complete with her hood up, Lucian and she made their way downstairs, where they were greeted by Mary, who was currently serving breakfast.

"Good morning!" She said, seeming rather cheerful.

"Good morning," Lucian said, returning the greeting.

"Do you two want some breakfast?" Mary asked.

Lucian looked to Hestia, who was almost drooling at the thought of food.

"Yes, please," Lucian said.

Mary smiled and sat them both down at a free table.

"Oh, by the way, have you seen Ron? You know the guy I was here with yesterday." Lucian asked before she went off.

Mary shook her head, though.

"I'm afraid not since last night. He was awfully drunk. I do hope he got home alright." She said with a slight chuckle.

Lucian agreed and let her be as she went off to fetch them some breakfast.

He decided not to overthink it and instead tucked into the food that Mary had brought them. It looked like some kind of full English breakfast, only with a few extra things he had never seen before. Still, it tasted fine, and he ate it all as to keep up his strength.

Hestia had finished hers very fast as she sat there demanding more, eating until she was stuffed as usual.

After their food, Lucian waited for another thirty minutes as he washed it down with some water, hoping Ron would show up. However, he never did.

Lucian was starting to get a bad feeling and decided they should go out and look for him.

"Sorry to bother you, Mary. Do you happen to know where Ron's parents live?" He asked.

The girl had a good think for a moment before she answered.

"Yeah, actually, if I remember correctly, they live two streets down from here to the right. Number 106, if I'm not mistaken." She said with a smile.

Lucian nodded and thanked her before he walked out of the tavern with Hestia following behind him.

"Is everything ok, master?" She asked, noticing he seemed a little tense.

"I just have a bad feeling." He said as they reached the first street.

Lucian picked up the pace as he could see the second street coming into view. Other people did their best to move out of his way as little to his knowledge. He was giving off a threatening aura.

Finally, they reached the second street, and Lucian turned to head down it looking at the numbers on the doors of the houses.

"Hey, wait for me!" Hestia shouted as she chased after him.

Lucian could see that a small crowd had gathered around the outside of one of the houses, and as he got closer, he could see why.

"Stand back, everyone, stand back!" One of the town's guards shouted as he did his best to form a cordon around the outside.

Lucian could see the number on the broken door was 106, just as Mary had said. The smell of blood was thick in the air, and Lucian feared the worst.

"Let me through!" Lucian shouted as had pushed past the crowd to get to the guards.

"Hey, you can't come through here!" The guard said, getting a little nervous as he got a good look at the size of Lucian.

"I'm an adventurer, and this is my companion's house. Let me through." Lucian said, menacingly not taking no for an answer.

The guard gave in and nodded his head.

"Alright, go on in. But you're not going to like what you see, pal."

Lucian walked through the door slowly as his nose picked up the fresh smell of blood and sweat mixed with stale beer.

There were more guards inside the house who were doing their best to piece together what had happened when they noticed Lucian.

"Hey! you can't be in here. Who let you in?" One of the guards asked as they walked over to Lucian and tried to push him back out of the door.

Lucian, however, didn't move and simply pushed the guard out of his way as he walked further into the house so he could get a better look.

"H-Hey, you can't do that!" The guard shouted as he was moved to the side like a child.

The others also grew angry with Lucian but stopped as he stopped when he saw Ron's corpse lying on the kitchen floor.

One of the guards quickly told the others to stop as he noticed Lucian's reaction and realised he must have been a friend.

"Was he a friend of yours?" The guard asked.

Lucian's world had gone black for a moment as he looked at Ron's body on the floor. His thoughts flashed back to his friends inside the tomb, and he was forced to close his eyes and look away for a moment.

"He was..." Lucian then said.

"His name is Ron. He was a member of the adventures guild, and he was a friend." Lucian said as his rage started to boil over.

The guards could feel the room grow cold as had aura spilt out. They felt heavy and sick, and they started to sweat from the intense magical pressure that was coming from Lucian.

"Master..." Hestia said quietly, snapping him out of his trance.

Lucian realised what was happened and tried his best to to control his rage.

The guards regained their composure, and the leader nodded to the others as he wiped the sweat off his chin.

"Check to see if he has an ID crystal, lads."

Another guard came into the house and reported to the commander.

"We just got reports from the neighbours. They said that a group of large men dressed in fur armour broke into the house early this morning and that they could hear screaming."

Lucian had heard all he needed to. It was the men from last night, most likely Kains men.

Lucian turned on his heels and marched out of the house, much to the guard's dismay.

"Hey, wait!"

Lucian ignored him, though, and carried on walking.

He had picked up on the sent of the group, and he was determined to make them suffer for what they had done.

"Where are you going!" Another guard shouted after him before his commander grabbed his should.

"Let him go, lad. We can't stop what that monster is about to do." He said as they watched Lucian and Hestia walk away through the crowd.

"You want revenge?" Satan's voice suddenly said inside Lucian's mind as his world was filled with rage.

Lucian tried his best to ignore the demon lord as he walked into a quiet alleyway.

"You want to make them pay for killing your friend?" He said, his voice echoing over and over.

"Use your hatred... Let it fuel your wrath. Feel it burn inside of you as you struggle to contain it and then let it overflow like a river bursting through a damn!" The demon lord yelled, getting a reaction from Lucian.

"AAARGGHHHH!!!!!!" Lucian roared as he let his body become engulfed in the power of wrath. All of his abilities were increased tenfold as power flowed through him, his anger the source of it all.

Even Hestia shivered at the sudden burst of magical energy, her knees getting weak from the pressure.

"Master..." She said in aw as she witnessed his true power."

"I'm going to make them pay!" Lucian shouted as he turned around to look at Hestia.

His appearance had become demonic as his eyes glowed bright red. He had grown two black horns on his head, and his entire body was covered in blue flames.

"I'm going to make them suffer!!!" He shouted again before his body suddenly went into shock.

"Arghh!" He cried as his muscles burned in agony from the intense magical outburst he had just unleashed.

Lucian squirmed until the blue flames disappeared and his features returned to normal. He had used all of his magic in one burst, and slowly, he fell back, crashing onto the ground.

"Master!" Hestia shouted as she ran over to him, no longer held down by the powerful aura.

"Very good little hero, very good..." Satan said quietly.

"Perhaps you will get your revenge one day after all." He then said as he let Lucian fade into his unconsciousness.
