Chapter 59: A Trip to Town

The next day Bilal began converting the farmhouse to solar. Raj was awake but tired and listless. He was bundled into a blanket and Carmella sat him in the rocker which she placed out in the front yard so that he could watch his father.

It had taken hours to make the corrections but had been accepted by his son with no problems.

As Raj sat watching his father, he was too tired to play but not too tired to ask endless questions about everything his father was doing and Bilal was happy to detail the process even though a discussion with a toddler about the difference between Amps, Watts and Volts might seem pointless. He wasn't sure just how much Raj understood but it was a certainty that the both of them enjoyed the interaction.

"Daddy, what's that?"

"Wiring to connect the panels to the fuse box." He replied.

"What's a fooz box, Daddy?" Raj asked.

"It's where we control the energy that we need for the house and barn." He replied.

"What's in-er-gee?" Raj asked.
