"I know" was all Kat replied as he stood to his feet for the first time during the whole conversation. "It is for them that I do all of this."

"Then I accept your gift and give you both my blessings and my prayers." replied Anubis as the purple portal once more opened behind him and with a half bow Anubis back through it.

"Thank you Lord Anubis." replied Kat with a half bow as he watched Anubis return to his realm through the portal.

"So now there is only but one thing left to do my love." sighed Manitou with a heart full of sadness as she too slowly rose to her feet.

"Yes my love and it will be a couple hour drive and I really would wish for it to not be an awkward and quiet drive if it didn't have to be." encouraged Kat as he took her paw in his free before slowly leading the way out of the fort, yet instead of heading for the buggy he lead the way towards the beach.
