Steelix Progress

Morgan was satisfied with how Axel was training his son. Axel also gave Frank a few bottles of Gogoat's milk for the new Pokemon.

"Morgan, can I talk to you for a minute?", asked Axel.

"Yes, please."

"I need some dragon-type resources to enhance my Bagon. Now, I know that they are very hard to find. Can you help me out on this one?", asked Axel.

"Sorry, Axel. I don't have a dragon-type Pokemon and I mostly focus on electric type. So, I don't have access to that. Why don't you talk with your buddy Lance? They are dragon family and their family raise dragons.

They must have some leads on to it."

"That is a very good idea. So, when are you leaving?"

"I will be leaving right now. Frank would train under you for now. Just take care of my son."

"Don't worry, I will fulfill my promise. Just don't forget yours."

"You will have the egg after you come from Aeus island. I promise you that."

Both of them shook their hands. Morgan said their goodbyes to Frank and then went to take his flight. 

"Frank, I will be busy for 3 days in the library. You have the money. So, get those resources before in these 3 days. Also, train your body and your Pokemons. I will be leaving my Pokemons here. They will be training here too."

"No problem. I will get those items and also train myself."

"Good."

Saying that Axel went to the library.

Morgan and Frank had come up at the perfect time. Frank had changed a lot. He could see that hunger in Frank to get stronger and he liked it. Axel would train Frank to the limit and if he performed well, Axel would think about Frank to be in his tide team. 

He had already read about Bagon and today he was going to read about Mankey. Axel had already paid the amount, so he didn't have to worry about it.

After 3 days,

Axel was tired after reading books for 3 days. He first went to the hotel and took a long shower. Then he ordered some breakfast. He was missing his Pokemons. Except for Shedinja, who refused to be away with him, all of his Pokemons were on training grounds.

It was now time to look at some of his Pokemons and their progress.

He reached the training grounds and he could see that Frank was doing push-ups while his Pokemons were also training in their body stats. Raichu was training in its reaction ability while Muk was training in its defense. 

Croagunk was also running in the field, trying to improve its stamina. Axel was satisfied with Frank's training. 

"Frank did you get all the items that I told you about?", asked Axel.

"Yes, I did."

"Good. Hand them to me and then go to your training. We will have a mock battle before we go to the Aeus island.", said Axel.

"Steelix, come here for a second.", said Axel.

Steelix came rolling forward. It had finally been able to upgrade its passive move 'Resistance'. It was also able to upgrade a lot of its moves and it had become more powerful than before. 

It was still not a tier 2 king-rank Pokemon but it was getting there.

Axel looked at its stats after a long time.

A lot of things have changed. It was now very close to reaching tier 2 of king rank. After reaching tier 2, its power would increase by a huge margin. 

First, its health had increased a lot. 9500 health was very high for a king-rank Pokemon who was not even tier 2. Then all of its stats have been upgraded to a good degree and its hidden ability 'Sheer force' had also reached 100% mastery. It had also trained in its ancient power and it was now 15%. 

It had not been able to train in any water-type moves. So, its hidden power mastery was still zero. Axel didn't know what would happen after the hidden power mastery rose up to 100% but he was sure that something big would surely happen.

However, it was very hard to raise the mastery percentage of hidden power. Steelix had to started from somewhere, so Axel thought to let it learn some water-type moves if that was possible.

Its moves have been upgraded and most of them have crossed the threshold. Axel was very happy with this. He had caught Steelix when it was a pseudo-king rank Pokemon, so it didn't have a good mastery over its moves. 

Now, the move mastery was satisfactory for a king-rank Pokemon and Axel was sure that it would develop even more in the future.

Axel looked at the move Description:

Heavy slam (Steelix) (Level 40): Steelix would wrap the opponent and then use Heavy slam which would pressure the opponent to move.

 (Level 45): After wrapping the opponent, the weight of the Steelix would start to fall toward the opponent. The move is very slow but it is very deadly

Iron Tail (Steelix) (Level 40): It has a more piercing effect now.

 (Level 45): The move has become more destructive. The destructiveness would depend on the weight of the Pokemon.

Sand trap (Steelix) (Level 40): The power of the attack is more solid and can be able to hold the Pokemon for a long time. 

 (Level 45): With the help of 'Sand hardening', the sand could now be solid and Pokemons could be trapped inside it. The pressure of the sand is very high.

 (Level 50): It could be combined with 'Sand Tomb' which would totally trap the Pokemon. However, could only be used for 1 minute.

 (Level 55): By combining it with 'Sand hardening' and 'Sand trap' and then concentrating on a small part of the opponent's body, the move would be very destructive.

Crunch (Steelix) (Level 40): The power of the teeth and its biting force have increased.

Stealth Rock (Steelix) (Level 40): Can produce 7 stealth rocks and keep them for 5 minutes.

 (Level 45): The stealth rock is now more invisible and it would be very difficult to locate now.

 (Level 50): These stealth rocks could move around to hurt the Pokemon. However, the opponent could figure it out and it could only do that for 1 minute.

Stone edge (Steelix) (Level 40): The stones are very fast and they are pointy and have a high penetrating power.

 (Level 45): Can create small pointy stones all over the area which would disrupt the opponent's movements.

Head smash (Steelix) (Level 40): The recoil damage has been reduced.

 (Level 45): The recoil damage has been further reduced. Now, Steelix would suffer only 1/3rd of the damage. Previously, it was 1/2nd the damage.

Rock Polish (Steelix) (Level 40): Can use it 3 times now.

 (Level 45): Can be faster than before and increase the speed of Pokemon?

Sand storm (Steelix) (Level 40): More powerful and higher speed. 

 (Level 45): More powerful than before. The enemy could hardly see in the sand storm.

 (Level 50): With the help of 'Sand hardening', it could severely hurt the opponents.

Autotomize (Steelix) (Level 40): Can separate a 1/3rd of its body to increase its speed very highly.

 (Level 45): Can reattach its separated body part after some time.

 (Level 50): When it separates its body part, it could use 'Heavy slam' with its separated body part to the opponent. 

Magnet Rise (Steelix) (Level 40): It would rise up from using electrically generated magnetism and then would increase its speed very highly for a short period of time.

Sand Domain (Steelix) (Level 40): The size of the mini desert has increased to 15-meter radius and the power of the ground-type move would increase in this domain.

Earthquake (Steelix) (Level 40): Can focus on one direction making it more deadly

 (Level 45): It would affect a larger area.

 (Level 50): The effect of the move is fast which would not let the opponent run away from it.

 (Level 55): It can use this move from the underground which would double the power of the move.

Hyper beam (Steelix) (Level 40): Has a more piercing effect.

 (Level 45): The time to recharge after the attack has been halved.

 (Level 50): Can use the move very fast.

Sand tomb (Steelix): (Level 40): The sand is more solid and hardened. 

 (Level 45): Blocks out all the air for the opponent and makes them unable to breathe.

 (Level 50): The tomb would now be covered by sand hurricanes which would make the opponent very hard to get away.

Sand Hardening (Steelix) (Level 40): Sand could now be transformed to semi-solid form with enough power.

 (Level 45): During the sandstorm or sand tomb, small grains of sand could also be hardened individually. However, that would take a lot of concentration and power out of Steelix.

 (Level 50): Sand could now be converted into fully solid form. This move would consume a lot of stamina.

Iron Defense (Steelix) (level 40): The defense of Steelix would rise more than before and it could tank many hits.

 (Level 45): Steelix would now be covered in a metallic hue which would further enhance its defense.

Dig (Steelix) (Level 40): Steelix would now know the position of the opponent when it is underground increasing the accuracy.

 (Level 45): It can stay underground for 6 minutes now.

'Sand trap', 'Sand tomb', 'Sand hardening', and 'Autotomize' have become very powerful. Especially, the combination of 'Autotomize' and 'Heavy slam'. 

If Steelix could learn 'Substitute' and then combine it with 'Autotomize', then it could be very powerful. 

Steelix has also learned a new move.

Sand construct (Steelix): Can make ropes, swords and spears made out of hardened sand and use it to throw to the target.

This would come in handy as it was not a physical type of move. Steelix has become powerful now and its stage II of 'Resistance' added its defensive powers.

Resistance 

Stage I: 

Status moves would be resisted 100% of the time if the enemy is in lower rank, 95% in the same rank and the percentage would decrease by 10% in every higher rank.

Stage II:

1. Status moves would be resisted 100% of the time, if the enemy is in lower rank, 95% in the same rank and the percentage would decrease by 10% in every higher rank.

2. Steelix now has a very high physical defense. It can now take many physical hits and have ample time to recover.

Axel didn't know how powerful Stage II of resistance was cause it didn't quantify Steelix's defense but he wanted to see it for himself. 

"Steelix, we would not move to another part of your training. We need to achieve 3 things in this next part:

1. Learn Substitute

2. Learn 2 water type moves

3. Improve domain move.

If you do this, then you will be much closer to tier 2 of king rank. You have done a great job, so take a few days rest if you want to."
