There were a lot of changes in its stats. Most of its moves have crossed the threshold and rank-up conditions have also occurred. Axel just wanted its agility and special defense to be in SS rank. Its special attack was already at SS rank. 

Axel looked at the changes in the moves:

Calm mind (Alakazam): (Level 40): could use it very fast during the battle.

  (Level 45): could be used 4 times now.

  (Level 50): could use it subconsciously as a continuous process.

Confusion (Alakazam): (Level 40): 10% chance to confuse the target to 50% chance to confuse the target.

Recover (Alakazam): (Level 40): Recover 40% of maximum health only one time.

  (Level 45): Recover 50% of maximum health only one time.

Elemental Manipulation (Alakazam): (Level 40): The spears and swords could detonate and create more power. 

  (Level 45): It is now semi-solid. Fighting type is also added and 

  (Level 50): it could now create semi-solid armor to protect itself.

  (Level 55): Can rotate the shields and put in on like an armor which is very flexible

  (Level 60): using metal to enhance the solidification which would further increase the power of the move

Greater Telekinesis (Alakazam): (Level 40): With this Alakazam could change the direction of attack with air pressure. 

  (Level 45): It would now also be able to create a vacuum around the opponent making them unable to breathe. 

Enhance (Alakazam) (Level 40): 5 seconds increased to 10 seconds.

Teleport (Alakazam) (Level 40): Teleport multiple people

  (Level 45): Can teleport up to 20 km

Flamethrower (Alakazam): (Level 40): Can change the shape of the attack, make it more sharper.

Thunderbolt (Alakazam): (Level 40): Can change the shape of the attack, make it more sharper.

Leveling up 'Flamethrower' and 'Thunderbolt' had also leveled in 'Elemental manipulation'. 'Elemental manipulation' was now in level 64 which might be the highest level any Pokemon of Axel had ever achieved.

Level 50 'Calm mind' was very good. This could let Alakazam use it subconsciously even during the fight. The effect would not be as good as using it normally but since it would be using it subconsciously, it would add up and it would grow stronger if the battle lasts.

It had also learned a new move 'Disown'.

This was a vague description but psychic powers could do a lot of things and it could also make a Pokemon feel weaker. This would generally make them slow and fatigued which would be very crucial in any battle scenario.

"Let the battle Begin!!!"

ROOOOOARRRR

Nidoking gave a huge roar and the sand started to brew out loud. 'Sandstorm' was above level 40 now so it was very fast and deadly. Alakazam didn't make the mistake of standing on the ground and it was lightly flying in the air. Its eyes glowed purple and a screen came next to it and beside it. This was 'Light Screen' and would defend the Pokemon with a special attack. 

'Light screen' was now above level 40. Even though Alakazam was covered by the move from the front and back side, it was not covered on right and left side. So, it was still affected by the storm. 

Then Alakazam's whole body lit up in purple light and an armor made of electricity covered its whole body. Even though the armor looked like it was made of electric current, it looked solid. There was a hint of metal in the armor too. It looked very flashy.

5 spears made of yellow lighting came out of nowhere and it went towards Nidoking.

By this time, Nidoking had already created 'Spinning poison' with the help of its substitute and attacked.

BOOOOMMMMM…

'Spinning poison' was the most destructive move of any Pokemon in Axel's team. The power of the move could be seen by the massive impact. 

The training ground shook and everyone could feel their knees wobble. It was like a mini earthquake. When the dust settled and the debris and smoke were cleared, Axel could see that 'Alakazam' was injured and it was still floating. 

He could see that its armor was totally disintegrated and instead of its armor, there were wounds and blood all over its body. 

However, Nidoking was nowhere to be seen. He looked around and saw that Nidoking was there on the corner. It was also very injured by the impact. This battle had taken an interesting turn of events. 

Both of them were injured after the first bout. 

Nidoking then started to use its hands to make another 'Spinning poison'. Alakazam would not let that happen again. 

It immediately used the combination of 'Thunder' and 'Elemental Manipulation' to create a powerful move and it stroked Nidoking down. Even though the move had become very fast, it was still slower than Alakazam's attack.

BOOOOMMM1!!!!!!

This was a powerful attack and another massive impact occurred. 

The training ground was huge but it was not huge to handle 2 of these massive impacts. 

The smoke and dust cleared again and now Axel could confirm that Nidoking had finally disappeared. Where had it gone? Alakazam was also very confused. 

Had it vaporized its friend?

That would not be possible cause the attack was not so deadly that it could seriously injure Nidoking. 

BANG!!!

Suddenly the ground shook and a massive Pokemon came out of the ground. It jumped high to reach towards Alakazam, extended its right hand, balled it up, and punched Alakazam to its right cheek. 

The power of the impact was so great that Alakazam crashed on the ground with a loud bang.

The one who came out of the ground was 'Nidoking' and the move was 'Sucker punch'.

'Sucker punch' was an egg move of Nidoking but Axel had never trained it on this move cause before, it didn't have any hands, it had paws. Axel didn't know how it was able to learn this move as an egg move but when it evolved to Nidoking, it was able to train this move smoothly. 

The move was a priority move and it was very powerful. Nidoking was a heavy Pokemon and it had a lot of powers in its fist. It was also a dark type move and it was supper effective against Alakazam. 

Axel then looked at Nidoking and it looked to be perfectly okay. There was not even a scratch on its body. So, what happened to that injured Nidoking before?

Axel then realized what had happened. When the first moves connected, Nidoking used 'Dig' and it went inside while its substitute took the hit. Alakazam used its power which consumed a lot of stamina and then it came out to land a solid hit. 

Alakazam stood with difficulty and a white light covered its body. Slowly, its injuries and wounds started to close up and it started to heal. Axel could see that Alakazam looked much better than before. 

It had used 'Recover' which directly recovered 50% of the Hp but it could only do that one time. 

Nidoking didn't waste any time and jumped and hit the ground with its foot. The ground cracked and it started to separate trying to take Alakazam with it. 

Alakazam hurriedly flew in the sky but it was impacted by the attack. It was 'Fissure'.

Axel could see that Nidoking was sparsely any poison-type moves and he appropriated its battle tactic. Alakazam had mastered its ability 'Synchronize' which would also make Nidoking poisoned if it became poisoned. It was an annoying ability and Nidoking didn't want to be poisoned. 

The battle went on for a few more minutes. Nidoking started to use 'Mud bomb' which had greatly powered up. It would explode and some of it would also stick to the body and with the help of 'Sand hardening' it would be solid and this would hinder the agility of the enemy. 

Alakazam was also not sitting quietly. It used 'Confusion' multiple times. Nidoking dodged a couple of them and some of them also hit it but one of them made it confused. 

Alakazam took advantage of it and started to Spam thunder spears and fire spears. 

However, Nidoking was intelligent. It directly used 'Dig' and went inside and didn't come out until it was out of confusion.

Ding!

Nidoking's Dig had leveled up to 45. Nidoking could now stay underground for 5 minutes.

The battle was interesting. Nidoking also used 'Poison balls' which were fast and it could now use 6 of them instantly. Some of them did hit Alakazam but it also had recreated its armor. 

After the 10th minute mark, Alakazam god poisoned. Nidoking had actively diluted the poison but it was not very good at it. 'Spinning poison' after it explodes would release poison in gaseous form and 'Poison ball' would also do the same. 

After Alakazam god poisoned, it immediately used its ability and Nidoking also got poisoned. 

However, Nidoking could handle the poison much better than Alakazam. 

The battle went on for a couple more minutes but Nidoking won with a final 'Sucker punch' in the face.

"Nidoking has won the battle. It would move to the next round.!!!", shouted Agnes and the crowd cheered for its victory. The city knew that these 2 Pokemons were very close to Axel and they had shown great performance. 

Axel was also very surprised that Nidoking had won. He loved both of them but if he were to look at their battle powers, Alakazam should have won but that didn't happen. 

Nidoking used everything to its advantage. Alakazam had the ability to transfer status conditions, so Nidoking had to be careful with poison-type attacks. 

It could also fly and it was very fast. That meant that Nidoking could not use ground-type moves like 'Earthquake' or 'Fissure'. But it still won!!!

He was very happy with its victory. The nurses started to check both of them and found that there were no serious injuries. However, both of them needed a day of rest to battle again. 

Axel was fine with it.

Gogoat and Beedrill were now ready to fight. Gogoat didn't have any desire to show off but it wanted to see how powerful it was compared to Beedrill. 

Just like before, none of them used their pre-domain moves. Using pre-domain moves would be incredibly taxing and it would not last long. They had just started to train on it and had not mastered it properly. 

Gogoat did use 'Grassy domain' and then 'Grassy slide'. It also used 'Field control' and other moves like 'Razor leaf' and 'Horn leech'. 

Beedrill was also not going to stay idle. It started to use different variations of strings. It had also learned some new moves and it had become very proficient in using those. 

Both of them were at the peak of pseudo-king rank and both of them were equally powerful. Axel could not even determine who would win the battle. 

The crowd was excited about the battle and some of them cheered for Gogoat while some of them for Beedrill. 

It was also very wild for any people to see a shiny Beedrill that was so huge. Nobody knew that a Beedrill could be so powerful.

Even though the battle lasted for 9 minutes, Beedrill knew that it was losing it. So, it took a huge risk and activated its pre-domain move, 'Bug domain'. 

Gogoat also used its 'grass domain' and both of their powers had increased drastically. 

However, finally, Gogoat took the win. It was almost an even battle but Gogoat won with its good defense and its power to manipulate its surroundings. 

"The second round of pseudo-king rank is over. Only 3 Pokemon are left. Who do you think would win? Nidoking? Alakazam? Or Venusaur?

We will have to see that but first, let's draw the lots for the third round."

The lots were drawn and the result came.

If Nidoking had to fight, Axel would have scheduled that for the next day but Gogoat was not very injured and it would be able to fight after an hour. 

The food and drinks were served again and the people were expectant for the fight. 

However, the battle ended in less than 2 minutes and Venusaur won!!!

Pokemon POV starts

"Do you think that you can win against me?", asked Gogoat.

"No, but I will not give up.", said Venusaur.

"Good, you still have that fire in you. Now, show me your best moves.", said Gogoat.

Venusaur started with 'Grassy terrain' and Gogoat countered with it own 'Grassy terrain'. It then used 'Wood thrones' which was perfectly dodged by Gogoat. Gogoat then used 'Sunny day' and Venusaur used its own 'Sunny day'. 

Venusaur then used 'Solar beam' and it was countered and dodged by Gogoat's 'Solar beam'. 

The battle went on for a minute and Venusaur knew that Gogoat was just playing with it. Gogoat was at the peak of pseudo-king rank and Venusaur had just ranked up.

Venusaur had a very solid foundation, so it was powerful even though it had just ranked up but it was nowhere as powerful as Gogoat. 

"I can see that you want to fight and win. I will forfeit from this battle.", said Gogoat.

"Why would you do that?", asked Venusaur.

"Kid, it is just competition and I never wanted to fight and prove myself. I have taught you a lot and you have done well. I just wanted to check if you are serious. 

So fight with Nidoking and see how powerful you have become."

"Venusaur has won the battle and now it would battle with Nidoking for the final round. 

However, that would be tomorrow. Tomorrow would be the final battle for pseudo-king rank and also for king rank. The competition will end tomorrow. Thank you all for coming here."
