Axel had a dazed look on his face. What did it mean by 'survive'? Will he die in this test? What was really going to happen?

"Yes, you just have to survive. My Pokemon would not attack and would only defend. You and your Pokemons just have to survive. You can use all of your Pokemons. So, are you ready?", said Oak.

Axel didn't say anything and just nodded his head. If it was to survive then he was ready. He would have to face Oak in the future if he wanted to become the Pokemon master.

3 of them went to the battlefield which was just 2 minutes from the research center. The battlefield was not very big. It was a normal battlefield.

"So, take out your Pokemon. I suggest you not take out any Pokemon who didn't even have their first evolution." Said Oak. So, he could not take out Bulbasaur and Magikarp.

Axel took the advice and send out his first Pokemon.

"Bzzzzz" came the sound from the Pokemon. The first Pokemon that Axel chose was Beedrill.

"Hmmm.. That is an unusually large Beedrill. You seemed to have raised it well. Come out !!!" shouted Oak and threw the Pokeball.

"Rooaarrrrrr….."

Axel looked at the Pokemon and he gulped his own saliva. The Pokemon was a draconic, bipedal Pokemon. It was light red with a cream underside from the chest to the tip of its tail. It had a long neck, small blue eyes, slightly raised nostrils, and 2 horn-like structures protruding from the back of its rectangular head. There were 2 fangs visible from the upper jaw when its mouth was closed. 2 large wings with blue-green undersides sprout from its back and a horn-like appendage juts from the top of the third joint of each wing.

The Pokemon was Charizard. Oak's Charizard was the first Pokemon to reach the master rank. It was the most powerful Pokemon in Oak's team and from what Axel saw, it still was.

A normal Charizard would be around 6 feet tall. But this Charizard was almost 9 feet tall. In addition to a normal Charizard, it had light red dragon scales on its long tail, 2 hands, long neck, and 2 legs. It seemed like a mutated Charizard. This Charizard already seemed like a half-dragon. The look of arrogance it gave made Axel feel that this Pokemon was the most powerful Pokemon to ever exist. But like Alakazam, it didn't even exclude a hint of Aura.

"Charizard, just defends, do not attack. We have a small kid here. We don't want him to be scared for life.", said Oak with a smirk.

Axel felt angry when he heard it. He knew that he may not even scratch this monstrosity but he had his pride.

"Beedrill you heard the old man. We may not be able to win but let's give them our best shot."

"I would be the referee here. Are you both ready?", said Blue.

"Yes"

"Yes"

"Let the battle begin," said Blue.

And…

BAMMM!!!!…

Beedrill and Axel both fell to the ground. Axel was face-planted to the ground where Beedrill was trying to stand up. Both of them were in shock as to what was happening.

A range of notifications came but Axel was too busy trying to not faint. 'What is this? Is this Charizard Aura?' His mind was going on an overdrive.

Axel was right. This was Charizard's aura. With its Aura alone, it had immobilized Axel and Beedrill. Axel felt that if he didn't have initial mastery of Aura, he would have died, right then and there. 'So, this was what Oak said about surviving.', thought Axel.

Axel was trying to calm his mind, as fast as possible cause, he was going to faint from the aura pressure. Beedrill was now slowly standing, only cause it had mastered 'Calm mind' to competence level.

It took both of them 4-5 minutes to stand up. Axel used all this strength from his legs to stand up. He could feel his leg tearing up and can feel cold blood dripping down from his legs and nose. This was how powerful Charizard was. Currently, the strongest non-legendary Pokemon to ever exist.

It took Beedrill another couple of minutes to come back to normal. The body of Pokemons were normally stronger than that of humans.

This was the first time he had seen his health decrease.

"Beedrill use 'swords dance' and then 'Electroweb'"

Beedrill could only use 'swords dance' 1 time as it had just learned the move. It used 'Electoweb' on Charizard and the move hit it. Charizard just flapped its wings softly and the web was disconnected.

It had no effect on Charizard. Electric-type moves are super effective against it but Charizard didn't even change its face.

"Beedrill use your 'Agility' 2 times and then use 'Drill run'. Coat the 'drill run' with poison"

Beedrill did it. Even though it used its 'Agility' 2 times it was very slow due to the effects of Charizard Aura. Beedrill spun its Drill and hit Charizard right on its chest and then bounced off a few meters from the impact and fainted.

Meanwhile, Charizard didn't even move a muscle.

Axel called back Beedrill saying that it did a good job and changed the Pokemon. Beedrill had used all of its power in that 'Drill run' but there was not even a scratch on Charizard's face.

'This is going to be a hard battle', thought Axel and threw another Pokeball

"Nidooooo….."

Said the Pokemon with a roar.
