Moment of Truth

Viona had been waiting for this intimate moment with him for years, but when this dream of hers came true, Viona could only blush. 

She looked at the shoes that Alex was holding, stretched out her hand, and whispered, "Let me carry them."

Alex didn't answer, still holding the shoes in one hand and Viona's thigh in the other. He then asked, "Since you went back to Arnold, does that mean you don't believe my words?"

"Well... I do believe in you but I can't just leave him and walk away!"

This explanation made the noose in the man's heart loosen a bit.

Alex raised his eyes and looked ahead, his thin lips curled up slightly, "Is he really your fiancé?"

"That's impossible!" Viona laughed and denied, she then honestly told Alex about her relationship with Arnold.

As her voice ended, Alex became much more relaxed. "So the two of you are just close relatives?"
